Chapter 8

Days later, she kept her promise on maintaining a good distance with Sehun, but as much as she tried to ignore him, he kept showing up and then play his charming aegyo to succesfully woo her. As I said, as long as he's still roaming the school halls, my reputation will collapse at the time I least expect it. As time passed, rumors about our fake relationship spread throughout campus like forest fire, just how I like it. Then probably, he'll leave Gabrielle alone for good!

Classes went faster, and we've grown apart because of piled homeworks and requirements, but since I'm a bad boy, I just let it slide than get a headache.

I was dozing if in my desk half-asleep before, the recess bell rang as students rushed to the door at the same time. I limply picked myself up and peered at Gabrielle's empty seat, as I sighed inwardly. I threw my bag around my shoulders carelessly, and waited for the ruckus to subside before going out.

I regrouped with Bangtan and walked into the cafeteria with full authority. Like kings walking in a red carpet with pawns surrounding us, worshipping our existence and domination. The thought amused my burdened mind, and carried the belief throughout lunch.

Everything went normally. Bangtan sitting in the largest table in the cafeteria, everyone else or otherwise known as our pawns gossiping about our superiority over the campus, and Gabrielle nowhere to be seen.

I borrowed a power bank from Taehyung, and charged my phone as I scanned through my feed, until a crowd rowled up at the entrance of the cafeteria. No one is this close to being popular than us, unless...

The crowd gave way for a group of girls. They wore less clothing, showing off their belly buttons and thin thighs, but the one in the middle, which I assume is the leader, wore a tight tank top accompanied by an expensive fur jacket and a short pencil skirt. I cursed under my breath and squeezed through Taehyung and Jin hyung, and attempted to escape.

Please, not her! Anyone but her!

"Jungkookie, baby!" A shrill, high pitched voice squealed from afar as I heard clicking of her 5 inch high heels coming closer and closer. I sweated profusely and froze on the spot, but made it less evident as possible, as I swallowed my pride and faced her with my usual poker face.

"What the hell do you want, Sanae." I said with a crude tone causing her to pout. She clung to my chest, making me cringe at her touch.

"Awe, Jungkookie, you know that we used to date before. But, one day you just conpletely ignored me." She softly stabbed my chest with her long colored fingernails and drew circles around it in a seductive manner.

Remember the reason I made Gabrielle my fake girlfriend? This is an example. Her and my mom were close business partners and arranged a date for us both a few months back, and as you know, even the toughest of boys have to follow your mothers, cause if you don't you face hell.

Then I remembered, Gabrielle's my fake girl. I'll annoy the hell out of this clown with thick makeup. My mom's not here, so time to have some fun.

I smirked to myself and sassily faced her. It caused her to cock a grin and gestured my facial expression.

"There! You see that! That is the smirk, that longs for me." She confidently said and clung onto me tighter. I rolled my eyes.

"Bi***, please. That smirk was so not for you." Namjoon slung his arm over my shoulder and gave me a supportive smile. I smiled back, but that doesn't mean I can't handle this myself. It's just I hate communication with dumb*** wh***s who depends on money to continue school.

Sanae frowned.

"Damn right. In case you didn't hear the news, I already have a girlfriend." I proudly stated and caressed my beautiful face.

She just shrugged in disgust and said, "Ugh, she's probably just another who**."

"If your referring to yourself, then say that to a mirror then, because unlike you, I dated her because I love her. I just dated you since, I didn't have a choice."

I could see her slacken in defeat physically, but her mind filled with complete emptiness urged her to keep fighting the battle she wasn't even a part of.

"Oh yeah, then who is this girl?" She said in a mocking tone, and as always with the right timing, she entered the cafeteria holding an empty tray. She noticed that silence pervaded the noisy cafeteria room, as she awkwardly looked at the crowd with eyes fixed on her.

She looked behind her. "What." She said as she attempted to read the atmosphere.

I smirked before walking to her side, and held her by the waist. "Sanae, meet Gabrielle," I publicly announced.
"My girlfriend."

Gabrielle blinked a few times and her expression stayed blank.

Consecutive gasps echoed through the cafeteria, as Sanae stood agape, as she disgustingly scrutinized Gabrielle.

Gabrielle faced me. "What's going on?" She whispered at me. I whispered for her to trust me and just go with it. She was reluctant at first before nodding at me. She withstood Sanae's dirty stares and locked her fist with extreme discomfort.

Sanae looked at me then at Gabrielle than gave a snotty, fake smile. "Oh, okay then. I'm happy for both of you." She said something inaudible before gesturing for her fellow sluts to follow her out of the cafeteria and silence once again draped the whole room.

When everything slowly went back to normal, Gabrielle shook of my arm on her shoulders and looked at me disbelievingly.

"What the hell did you get me into!?" She squawked. "Showing me off to the most popular girl in school! I know you hate me, but you didn't need to go through this extent to make my life miserable." She whispered the last part angrily.

"What do you suggest I do, then? Let her think that we're in a false relationship, because everyone knows we're together now!" I retorted before groaning. Both of us was caught deep in this pathetic argument that the whole Bangtan was eyeing us mischievously. All of them were doing their best to hold in their laughter, but I gave them a dirty look.

I sighed before giving in to her rant. "Fine, you win, but there's no turning back now. She's a girl who doesn't know how to give up, so do your best to avoid girls whi show their belly buttons at all costs." I lazily said as I took my bag from our table and dragged myself out of the cafeteria. Her expression was seethed with mixed emotions my unexperienced mind can't answer, so before she takes her anger out on me, I quickened my pace and stopped halfway. I looked back at Gabrielle.

"Oh yeah, don't go anywhere by yourself. That's the moment she'll outnumber you, 'kay."
