Mall Walking, His Point of View
Its Monday after school and I'm late leaving as usual. I get out of the building as quickly as I can. As soon as I am out the doors I'm moving. I throw my skate board down to the side walk and begin kicking as fast as I can towards the Mall. Gretchen, my girlfriend will be waiting for me there I hope, if I am not too late again.
I skate board up to the front entrance and see her waiting there. She is standing in the corner of the entry way, waiting in the shade.
I stop, kick my board up into my hand and for once I catch it neatly. She isn't watching of course. If she had been I would have dropped it for sure and probably smashed my toes or something.
It's a hot sunny day. Very hot. I'm praying for a breeze right now, so of course there is none. My hair and my Tee Shirt are wet with sweat and I am sure I smell like a locker room. Thinking about it makes me cringe and I try to sneak a sniff of my shirt to see how bad I stink. Thank God for deodorant. I smell like Axiom for men. At least something is working in my favor for once. What if she doesn't like the smell of Axiom for men? I cringe again.
She is standing there watching people enter and leave the mall. She hasn't noticed me yet so I watch her watching people. She is small. Her eyes so dark that when she looks at you, you feel as if she is gazing inside you, reading your soul. Chestnut brown hair is long with bangs that keep threatening to blind her. She is constantly brushing them from her eyes.
My heart catches in my throat and I wonder for the million and tenth time why an angel like her would waste her time with a loser like me.
Walking towards her, Gretchen see's me coming. She meets my half way. "You are all wet", she tells me and then she hugs me anyway.
We walk through the mall hand in hand. We aren't there to shop, we are just stealing some private time together. She spoils me that way and I love her for it.
Later we walk outside and start towards the park, talking, laughing, and telling jokes. The first patch of grass we come to I tackle her unexpectedly. I take her down with me to roll in the grass and after a struggle I finally come out on top, sitting on her. She is small but she is agile as hell. She twists, spins, kicks out and escapes. She runs for it.
I catch up to her near a tree. Out of breath she leans back against the rough bark and grins at me. I lean against the tree facing her and cut off her escape by placing my hands against the tree trunk, one on each side of her head.
I can't help it. She is cute, sexy, sensual. I bend down to kiss her. She turns her head just in time and it lands on her cheek and she giggles, brushing the bangs from eyes.
She looks up at me and my heart stops. Those dark eyes of hers are boring in again.
I don't know why or how, but Gretchen can read me like a highway sign. She speaks to me with her eyes but I'm too baka to understand the language. She is a mystery to me. She reads my every thought and I have not a clue what she is thinking.
I lick my lips and lean in again. This time my mouth finds her. Our moist lips slide over each others, I turn my head and slip my tongue into her mouth. The tips of our tongues meet, play for a moment. She trembles and pushes me away. "Stop", she tells me.
Gretchen's cheeks are red. She is looking at my shoes. Now I feel awkward and shy because I didn't wear socks. I wondering what I did, did I do something wrong? I feel shy now too and my face turns red to match hers.
She places her hand in mine, pulling me towards the park again.
"Hurry up Baka, I know where we can go..."
