10 Weeks Left

Hiii!

As per request, there's a picture of how Baekhyun's wedding suit (kinda) looks like. I just want to say that I couldn't find something that perfectly fits the descriptions I wrote, but this one's close enough :)

(just change all the black to midnight blue and we're good to go hehe)

I rested my chin on one hand as I scan through the project proposal flashed on my laptop screen. "Is this everything they sent us?" I asked my secretary, So Eun, through the voice call application. It's a weekend but I'm still working from home considering the piling workload ever since our company opened another branch in Thailand. I heard a series of tapping noises and paper flipping before So Eun spoke again.

"Yes, sir," she said. "I already triple checked."

"Well, then," I sighed and squinted my eyes in concentration. "We need another ten percent increase in shares and complete health care benefits—these are not enough for our workers," I commented, and I could already imagine So Eun earnestly taking notes. "Also, tell them we're not switching suppliers just because of cheaper price so you can cross out number eight. We need complete workforce headcount from all departments, even the interns. And review page six for me please, So Eun, then send me a summary because it's a mess."

"Noted, sir," my secretary said as I heard the final tapping of her keyboard. "I'll send it ASAP."

"Okay, thank you," I nodded before exiting the document. "Now, send me the one from Shin Hwa Corporation."

"Right away, sir," So Eun muttered and soon, an email notification flashed on my laptop screen. I clicked on it and frowned at the file name.

"So Eun, send me the one from yesterday. Not the one from last week."

"Oh?" So Eun gushed, surprised and embarrassed. "Y-Yes, CEO Park. I'm so sorry—I guess—" her tapping sounds louder now and I could bet anything she's already panicking. So Eun is already working for me for a few months now but I guess it really takes some time for some people to get used to what they do. As far as I am concerned, So Eun is the best secretary I ever had and I'm not ready to lose her yet—considering how big she's helping with the wedding, too.

I let out a quiet laugh. "It's okay, So Eun," I said kindly. "Take your time. Just send the document as soon as you find it."

"Yes, sir. I apologize for the delay," she whispered.

As soon as I lifted my eyes off my laptop screen, a few knocks sounded from the door. It's already half past eight in the evening so I guess my fiancé is already home from the café. We're both staying at the penthouse now and we already started transferring our possessions from our family homes since yesterday. Byun Baekhyun does not really wait for me to call him in, so I just smiled and sat back on my seat as my office door opened.

"Good evening, Park Chan," Baekhyun grinned as he slipped inside the room and shut the door behind him. He's already wearing his satin pajamas and his hair is a little damp from his evening shower. Even from a distance, I could already make up his smell like he's just right here beside me. My fiancé made his way towards the office table, planting his palms on the oak.

"Good evening, Byun Baek," I greeted back with a small smile. "You seem to be in a really good mood."

"I am!" Baekhyun beamed as he leaned towards me across the table. "A group of young idol trainees went to the café today and our sales rocketed like crazy after girls stared pouring in just so they swoon at them," my fiancé giggled before he puckered his lips toward me and I have to move forward so he could kiss me on the lips, nose, and forehead. "Oh, you smell nice. Are you wearing perfume, hon?"

"Nope, and you're one to talk," I chuckled. "You smell like roses."

"I think I fell asleep in the tub," my fiancé mused quietly, and I have to laugh. Then Baekhyun narrowed his eyes at me in accusation, "Or maybe it's the roses Kim Jongin sent me again because your hard head can't understand that you must leave the barista alone! Stop buying food for our employees every fucking night, Park Chanyeol."

"It's not a big deal," I said. "Besides, it's not like I'm only treating Do Kyungsoo. I buy food for everyone."

Baekhyun rolled his eyes. "What are you? Their fucking father?"

"I'm nobody's father," I muttered. "...Yet." Well, if you don't count Peanut and Rain, that is.

Byun Baekhyun was about to say something sassy again but thought better of it. His cheeks turned a bit red when he averted his gaze to stare at the wall behind me instead. I haven't got the chance to tell him yet, but I already did a little research on some of the foster homes here in Seoul. Maybe we could have a more serious discussion about the adoption soon since it wasn't long since I saw my fiancé in one of the children's bedrooms, sketching a mural on the far wall. I know how excited he is about building our own family. But I also know how scared he must be just thinking about it.

"You tired, baby?" I whispered, cocking my head to one side as I stared at my fiancé's face. He casted me one glance, his plump lips twisting to a small smile. I can't help but smile back because it's silly how a single person could somehow bring up all kinds of emotions. Who would have thought happiness comes in a variety of shades?

"Why?" Baekhyun asked back, eyes narrowed. "What horny shit are you thinking of again?"

"What horny—" I laughed out loud. "I'm thinking about ordering pizza and watching a romance movie tonight," I shook my head in amusement. "You and your dirty mind, Byun Baek."

Baekhyun gasped dramatically. "Dirty mind?" he gushed. "Between the two of us, I guess it's pretty clear it isn't me who's thinking green all the time, Park Chanyeol."

"Oh really?" I raised a brow, crossing my arms over my chest in challenge "When did I ever become such a perv, Byun Baekhyun? Please, do give me an instance."

My fiancé stood up straight and held up a finger. "Who the fuck just suddenly asks his boyfriend to have sex with him inside his black Porsche when they're at a school parking lot? And! In mid daylight!"

Someone gasped loudly. Baekhyun and I shared a confused look.

Then Baekhyun's eyes went wide. "Wait—" he slowly points towards my laptop. "A-Are you—"

"Oh shoot!" I gasped. "I totally forgot!"

My fiancé's face is so red. "I-Is that—"

"H-Hey—" I tried so hard to regain my composure as I transferred my gaze to my laptop. The voice call app is still open, and the seconds are still counting. "So Eun—"

"I-I'm so sorry, President Park!" my secretary sounds like she's near tears. "I swear I put you on mute when sir Baekhyun came in! I really, really swear. But when I unmuted just to check if he already left, I heard him saying—"

"It's alright, it's alright," but my fiancé is already slapping my arm so hard and tugging on my hair angrily. "I-I—Ouch! I'll talk to you later, okay? I got to go." I clicked on the 'end call' button immediately before another furious slap hits my arm. "Ow! Stop it— I'm sorry, okay? I forgot—"

"That was so embarrassing!" Baekhyun whines as he finally took a step back to glare at me. He pointed one trembling finger to my face. "This is all your fault! You are so fucking dead to me, Park Chanyeol!" My fiancé gave me another deadly stare before he angrily walked towards the door and out of my study. I have no choice but to follow him.

"But what about the pizza and the movie?!" I shouted as I stormed out of the office to follow him towards our room.

"Marry that pizza and the movie for all I care, dumbass!" Baekhyun shouted back.

Byun Baekhyun was so mad that night I really thought he's going to make me sleep in the closet again. But the movie was great and the pizza was tasty. And I guess sleeping on the couch wasn't such a bad thing when I got his head resting so close to my heart.
