"Luce, please tell me what's going on with you. You've been smiling ever since I found you in the hallway."

I smiled, "It's nothing Natsu, I promise. I'm just in a really good mood."

"Oh come on! Why won't you tell me?"

I laughed, "why do you want to know so badly?"

"Because you're my friend Luce. I want to know what makes you happy so at times when you're sad I can cheer you up."

I turned around in my seat, "that's really sweet Natsu," I smiled, "but if you must know, I made a new friend today."

He raised his brow, "Boy or girl?"

I chuckled, "What if I said it was a boy?"

"Then he would have to check with me first," Natsu nodded.

I laughed, "do I sense a hint of jealousy from Natsu Dragneel?"

He grabbed my chin, "of course Luce. You're mine and only mine."

I laughed pushing his hand away, "first of all I'm nobody's last time I checked and second it's a girl."

"Oh, well what's her name?"

"I think it was Éclair. We met in the bathroom earlier and we just talked. We're going to meet for pizza this weekend."

"Wait this weekend?" Natsu yelled, standing in his seat.

The whole class was looking at us at this point, "Yes this weekend. Sit down Natsu everyone's staring at us."

He grabbed his phone, "I'll be right back I have to make a call."

"O-Ok?" I said, watching him run out the room frantically, "What's his deal?" I felt a buzz in my pocket, making me stare down at my pants, "my phone?"

Who would text me?

I picked up my phone and saw the one person I never thought I would see text me.

Sting.

I can still smell his scent from the other night. I smiled thinking about it. I opened his text...

"Can't wait for our date."

I gasped, "Oh crap!" I screamed.

Now the whole class was staring at me.

Oh my god I totally forgot about that! With the whole Natsu situation I totally blanked on it. I wonder if I should cancel? It wouldn't be right if I go with him while me and Natsu are y'know...

Having a thing.

But it would also be rude to cancel on him at the last minute.

Maybe I should just go. To get out the house and have fun with someone other than Natsu and my mom. Not that there's anything wrong with them, but change is nice.

So I texted him back...

"Me too :)"

I put my phone back in my pocket, "just friends," I repeated, "just friends."

I glanced up and saw Natsu smiling, wiping a bit of sweat off his forhead, "glad I could cancel that." He said.

"Cancel what?" I asked.

"Oh nothing just something I planned earlier."

"Well at least you can get your money back."

"Oh no that's gone," he smiled, "you can't get a refund but you can cancel free for anytime."

I raised my brow, "doesn't that beat the purpose of-"

"Alright class!" Our lazy exscuse of a teacher came inside, "the principal found out I was slacking on the job so now I'm required to teach you something."

Oh great. I thought I could at least get one break.

"Wait," he scratched his head, "What subject is this again?"

This guy is helpless.

The bell rang and it was off to lunch.

I did my usual routine and hurried to the lunch line to grab my lunch early so I can head off to the best place on earth with one of the best people on earth.

Mrs. Hendrix and her library.

"Wait up Luce!" I sighed hearing him call my name.

I hope he isn't going to ask me to sit with him, cause I can't risk that humiliation.

I turned around, giving him a gentle smile, "hey Natsu."

"Why didn't you wait for me? I was hoping we could grab lunch together and eat in the library."

"For the last time Natsu I'm not eating in the- wait. What did you say?"

"I said we can eat in the library together," he smiled.

I stared at him confused, "Natsu you don't have to eat in there with me. I'm fine by myself."

"But I want to Luce," he grabbed one of the trays behind me, grabbing food from the lunch ladies.

"But are you scared of being seen in library with the freak of the school?"

He sighed, "when are you going to stop calling yourself that? You're not a freak. You're Lucy. One of the most beautiful and talented people I know."

I chuckled, "I'm sorry. It's just a habit." I grabbed my tray, walking toward the exit.

I smiled when I saw Mrs. Hendrix sitting in her chair, stapling papers as usual, "hi Mrs. Hendrix."

She looked up from her papers and immediately her face lit up, "if it isn't Lucy Heartfilia."

I laughed, "have any new books came in today?"

She nodded, "Yep and I sat them on your usual table."

"Thank you," I smiled.

"And tell your friend I said hi," She winked.

"My friend?" I whispered. I turned behind me only to see Natsu standing there smiling like the big dufus he is, "Natsu! When we're going to tell me you were standing there the whole time?"

"Until you were finished talking." He took a bite of his apple, "It's very rude to inturrupt someone when they're talking. I thought you would have known that Luce."

I swear my face was getting hotter with every word he spoke. Sometimes he makes my blood boil.

"Well you two have fun," Mrs. Hendrix said, "and make sure you're quiet."

I sighed, "come on Natsu." I grabbed his hand leading him to my usual spot. We both sat down, "alright Natsu. There's rules when you sit down at my table."

He smiled, "throw them at me."

"First rule, no talking!"

"What? That's already unfair. How am I supposed to talk to you about my day?"

"Second rule, no eating around the books." I grabbed the new books Mrs. Hendrix laid out for me.

"I can live with it," he said, taking another bite of his apple.

"Ok, if you understand say yes."

"Luce I'm not dumb-"

"I said if you understand say yes!" I raised my voice.

"Yes!" He said, scooting his chair back, "I've never seen you so scary before. It's kinda hot." He winked.

I scoffed, "eat your lunch."

I was reading this new book Mrs. Hendrix gave me and I'm so amazed! It was about a young girl who became queen because her family died in this tragedy, that no one really knows about, only to realize that she really wasn't royalty but she was apart of an experiment and she has to find a way to get out.

Gah! I just love stories with plot twists.

"Psst."

Just ignore it Lucy and it may go away.

"Pssst..."

"Psssst!"

"Psssssst!"

"What!" I yelled, throwing down my book.

"Are you done reading yet? I really wanna talk to you."

I groaned, "no, now be quiet." I picked my book back up and began reading again.

"But I want to talk to you."

"Well you're going to have to do it later."

"But this is our only free time until we get out in three hours."

"Oh my gosh Natsu! We live across the street from each other."

"But I want to talk now."

"Alright Natsu!" I slammed my book down, "What do you want to talk about?"

"Well first... how was your day?"

"Not over, so leave me alone." I picked my book back up and attempted to read one last time.

He pouted, "I guess I need to read one of those books to get your attention."

I turned the page, ignoring him.

He sighed, grabbing one of the books out of the pile, "the secrets in the dome." He looked on the back cover, "it looks boring."

"Why don't you actually read it and find out."

He scoffed, "fine." He turned to the first page starting his adventure through the magical thing called a book.

About twenty minutes later I finished the book I was reading, "it was so good!" I squealed, "I hope they make a sequel! Alright Natsu you can talk if you-"

"Shhh!" He said, his eyes glued on his book.

"What are you-"

"Shhh! I'm getting to the good part where they find out who was behind the dome."

I smirked, "Oh I see." I smiled in amusement, watching him read one of my favorite books, "I guess the book isn't so boring after all."

The bell rang for our next block, "no, no, no!" He said, leaning back in his chair, "I was getting to the good part!"

"Well you can always take it home with you."

He gasped, "you can do that?!"

"Yep! You just have to get a library card from Mrs. Hendrix."

He stood from his chair, "show me the way!"

I laughed, "come on Natsu." I grabbed his hand, "let's go get you the greatest tool in existence! A library card!" He smiled, running to the front desk.

I rubbed my hands together like a mad man, laughing hysterically. Finally! Someone to share my book obsession with.

This is the start of something glorious!
