Go To Hell, Buford! (Buford xreader)
Your POV
I was walking around with Doc and Marty as Buford and his goons ran by on their horses. I looked up enough as Buford looked down at me and smirked. "Hey blacksmith!" he said as Doc looked over. "What is it Tannen!" he asked.
"That horse you shoed for me, threw a shoe, and since you did the job you owe me!" he said and Doc shook his head. "Considering you never paid me for the job, I say that makes us even!". Buford leaned over a little as he looked at him. "You see, I was on my horse when it threw the shoe and it threw me off, causing me to break a jar of Kentucky redeye. Now you owe me 75 for the horse and 5 for the whiskey" he said as I sighed deeply.
"How about you keep riding, Tannen?" I asked as he hopped off his horse. "How about I take my 80 dollars out of this one?" he asked as he smirked at me and glanced to Doc who gritted his teeth. I raised my hand as I slapped him. Everyone that stopped to see what was going on gasped. "How about you leave why you still have your nuts intact," I said as I looked at him. He smirked as he pulled me closer. "Looks like I found me a feisty one" he said as his buddies laughed. Marty had Doc's arm as he held him back.
I nodded gently as I looked down a bit. That was before I grabbed my hat and pulled a pistol out from under it as I pointed it at his balls. "You've got til the count of three before I shoot off that precious tiny thing in your knickers." I said. He looked down and looked at the pistol before he let me go slowly. He backed off as I rose the pistol to his face. "Now how about you leave my Blacksmith friend alone?" I asked as he looked at me.
"How about we settle this the hard way? Monday morning at 7." he said. "Go to hell, buford" I said. "Where do you think I come from?" He said as he got on his horse and rode off. I lowered my hand as I watched him ride off. Doc came up behind me as he grabbed the pistol from my hand and grabbed my arm as he walked me to his shop. "Where in the name of Thomas Alva Edison did you get this?" he asked as he held the gun by the barrel. Marty stood by the door as he rose a brow. "I'd like to know that as well."
"I got it from the guys at the festival." I said. Doc paced as he went back and forth. "I should have kept a better eye on you." he said as I crossed my arms. "I don't need babysitting, you know that." I said as I looked at him. He put the gun down and walked over to me as he pulled me into a hug. "I just don't want either of you getting hurt. I wouldn't forgive myself." he said as I kissed his cheek. "I know, Doc." I said.
Marty came over to us and chuckled. "I can't believe you said you'd shoot off his." Marty said as he tried not to say it. "Don't say it." Doc mumbled as he let me go. "It was the only thing I could think of, besides it's about every guy's most prized possesion," I said as Doc shot me a look.
"Now you have to have a standoff with him." he said as he shook his head. I sighed gently. "I'll be fine, I can talk my way out of anything and you know it." I said as he hummed gently. After we perfected what the plan was with the train to get home, we went to bed.
~Monday~
I woke up early on Monday as I had to get ready. I was getting a little nervous. I can talk my way out of just about everything, but the only thing is if I fail, I'll get shot. I ran a hand through my hair as it was down and sighed deeply. My thoughts were interrupted as Doc woke up and mumbled something to me. I walked over to him and sat on the bed as he fixed his hair. "You're worried" he said as he looked over to me. "Why must I be an open book to you?" I asked as he shook his head and put a hand on mine. "Don't worry about it. We can hightail it out of here on the train long before he gets into town."
"That's if the train is on time." I said and he sighed. "Then have Marty or I step in against him for you." I looked at him as if he was mad. "Doc, I think you've finally lost it. I'm not letting you or Marty stand in for me with something I got myself into" I said as he looked at me. He sighed deeply. "I knew I should have destroyed that damn time machine when I had the chance." he said as he got out of bed slowly. "This wouldn't have happened." he said.
I shook my head and stopped him as I stood in front of him. "Don't get yourself worked up, you can't think clearly when you're like that. If I can keep Tannen off your back and you and Marty can get home then so be it." I said as he sighed deeply and nodded.
I got ready to go outside as it was almost 7. We heard a couple of horses galloping as Buford was on his horse. I stopped as I looked at them. I nodded to Marty and Doc and they rode off on their horses. They had some extra things to check to make sure that everything was ready while they waited for the train.
"Come to meet your maker early Tannen?" I asked as his goons laughed. He got off his horse as he marched over to me. "You've got a pretty big mouth for a little lady." "You look as dirty as a pig for an outlaw." I said. He growled at me. "You better watch it." he said as I rose a brow. "Or what? You gonna shoot me?" I asked and he smirked gently.
"I can do that" he said as he looked me up and down. Rolling my eyes as I picked my head up to meet his gaze. "The sheriff better get me a muzzle. Today will be the day you go to jail, Tannen. I'm not going to stand by while you bully the people of this town"
He laughed as he walked around me. Holding onto the handle of the umbrella that I brought out with me tightly I let my eyes trail him. "Aren't you a clever one? We can either have a stand off or I'll find another way to take 80 dollars out of you. So what will it be, sweetheart?"
Moving the umbrella enough to pick it up and swing it like I bat I did just that and he caught it as it was an inch from his nose. Letting it go he chuckled gently before he dropped it into the mud.
Moving away from him his goons grabbed me as he got closer to me. I could practically smell the filth that was eminating from him. Grimmacing as he leaned down to me I turned my head to look away. He grabbed my face before he leaned down and kissed me.
Biting his tongue as he tried to push it into my mouth he pulled away and slapped me. "Don't bite me again!" The men in the crowd wrapped an arm around a woman that was either their wife or their sister. Protecting them on instinct.
I looked at Buford as he smirked at me. "You'll learn how to behave soon enough" he mumbled as he looked me up and down. Frowning I spit at him as it hit him in the eye. It wasn't lady like but I don't care. This isn't my timeline. I heard horses running up the road as I looked over to see Doc and Marty.
Doc was ready to knock him out and Marty could see it. They hopped off their horses as they made their way for Tannen. They didn't get close as his goons pointed their guns at them.
"Don't!" I said as they turned to look at me. Marty had ahold of Doc again to keep him from getting physical. Feeling my hair get pulled on from behind, my head was pulled back so I was looking towards the sky.
Feeling some hot breath against my neck I tried my best to keep my wits about me and not gulp in fear. I heard him tsk as I looked at him. Buford had grazed his facial hair against my skin, making me pull my shoulder towards my neck to close the space.
This had been dragging on long enough, and everyone knew it. Bufords goons and dropped me and made me land in the dirt with a thud. Taking off my dirty gloves I looked up and stood slowly. The front of my dress had been tied to the side of it which would let me untie it and it would come open like a trench coat. Doing that I was able to move a little more freely, especially since I had made some pants with spare fabric I found.
Pulling the blade from my boot adter pulling the small hat from my hair and letting my hair fall. I glared at the goons. "Haven't you ever been told not to bring a gun to a knife fight?" I asked as I lunged and slit ones jacket and hitting his arm.
The other one had saw what I did to his friend and ran off while the other two followed. Doc was able to trip one and I smirked gently. Turning to see Buford, I was met with a barrel in my face.
Stopping in my tracks I watched as he pulled the hammer back, the click ringing in my ears. It was silent. A little too silent. He had gotten ready to pull the trigger, but as quickly as I could I took my left hand and went up and under the gun and slapped it to the left and it fired into the sky.
Looking up at him he growled. "Well Buford, it appears that you've missed" he was caught by surprise when I grabbed the barely of the gun and grabbed it from him before throwing him on the ground. Taking the gun and unloading it I threw the gun itself back down as I held the bullets in my hand.
"I think it's high time you skipped town, Mad Dog Tannen" I said. He gulped as he looked at me. Nodding gently he stood slowly before the Sheriff came riding on horseback with his deputy and cadets. They took Buford to jail and went to round up his goons. Turning to look at Doc I was met with a chest as he was standing in front of me.
Feeling his face rest in my shoulder and his hands wrap around my waist I s.iled gently. "You're going to drive me to a heart attack if you keep this up" he said. Hugging him back I smiled gently as I looked at Marty.
Letting go of Doc as everyone had cheered and were already on their way, Marty nodded and gave me a high five. I smiled gently and Doc sighed a little.
Going back to the shop I grabbed what I needed and got into some new clothes. We were heading for the junction where we planned to high jack the train. Getting there on horseback I got off and stretched. I had known this was coming and there were only the three of us, but it was going to be a long trip.
