Chapter 30
I woke up on my own the next day, stretching enjoying the sunlight on my skin. When I open my door to go out in the hallway I find all six men standing in the hall. I have a think about what happen yesterday, that's right I have lessons. I say my good mornings and I eat breakfast, soon to start my lessons.
" Accurately remembering names is one of the simplest yet most important components of interacting with people, no matter in what capacity. This article presents some tips I've acquired over the years with regards to remembering and using people's names. Because of the royalty factor, you need to know everyone's name and place" Edmond says, as I take my notes.
" How you behave in the privacy of your home is often different from how you act once you step outside your front door. Social graces dictate your being mindful of how others perceive both you and your actions. Talking or yelling loudly, engaging in inappropriate displays of affection, spitting on sidewalks, littering, playing loud music, swearing or cutting ahead of others in lines are all discourteous behaviors." Brian starts as I continue to the second lesson.
" Dancing has its own culture. If you want to join a group of dancers and enjoy their company, it is a good idea to follow the accepted costums of their dance group. One of the ways you get accepted into a group is by the way you're dressed.
The more formal the dance, the more formal the outfit. For example, if you are invited to a formal charity ball, anything less than a tuxedo for men or ball gown for women would be inappropriate. On the other hand, at a dance lesson at your local studio, there is usually no need to dress formally. " Brown says, as he approaches me.
" The waltz is the most likely the first ballroom style dance where the partners faced each other originating during the Victorian era in Austria. The early waltzes were danced to Strauss music and were considered dancing for the peasants and created some scandal among the European aristocracy but eventually the waltz spread across Europe and to the United States. The waltz and all its variations have maintained their popularity since they began." He continues.
" This is the slow waltz, right? Not the Vietnamese waltz." I ask as he looks at me surprised. And he nods as he continues. He starts to explain the steps as the music starts, taking my hand softly and moving smoothly.
" The man is in the lead not you, again." He says stopping. We do it again and again. " Okay this is not going to work. Stand in beginning position like this, okay good, stay." He says then he steps away from me, coming behind me relaxing my shoulders.
" You tense up too much, don't try not to make a mistake on your first time, everyone makes mistakes." Seth says and his finger goes down my spine.
" Okay, again do not tighten up. Let your shoulders relax." Brown says going back to his position. The music starts, we begin to waltz. " Very good for your fist day, next is the spin, or do you already know that." He adds on teasingly.
" Who knows.." I say as my body flows through with the music.
"You stepped too far... And you stepped on his food!" Brian yells, I immediately stop, and look at his foot.
" I am so sorry." I apologize as he lifts up my head and smiles.
" It's okay for a beginner." He says going back to the beginning position. I get about halfway through the waltz before missing up.
" Okay, that's it for the day, time for dinner." Edgar says placing food on the table. We start to eat the delicious meal, then they started to ask some personal questions.
" Are you planning to have children? Are you planning to get married?" Norman starts to ask.
" Yes, I'm planning to get married and have children one day, but for right now I'm focusing on College and getting my degrees." I reply.
" How many?" Brian asks.
"Well, one or two. Just no more then five." I reply, wondering why are they asking me this.
" Are you a v..." Brian starts to say.
" Don't you dare finish that sentence, Brian." Brown interrupts.
" Sorry Ma'am." Brian stands up and bows.
" Sit down, we're eating. Why are you all asking me this anyways?" I ask as he sits back down.
" We just like to get to know you." Seth replies.
" Well, I think you know me pretty well now. But I don't know anything about you besides you are all Butlers of the Prince. Brown and Brian are brothers, and you all have something to teach in the line of royalty. So what is with the color, with your tux?" I ask looking at everyone taking their plates.
" Well, we grew up with Prince Baba, since we were very little. He thought it would be best if we were not treated like the other Butlers, I guess you can say we are like his personal servants. " Edgar says.
" So, you do like his shopping and his errands for him?" I ask, they all nod not saying anything. " What fun is that? That isn't doing anything more then just being a person bodyguard, I guess. You know, you can be yourself. Besides my lesson you don't need to be in the mind of the Butler."
" We were raised to become Butlers, we didn't have a personal life. I bet it would feel so weird, to have one." Brown says.
" Tomorrow can we hold off the lessons? Or just half of the day?" I ask.
" We can arrange that, why?" Seth asks.
" Because I want to take all of you guys out." I say, they all smile.
" Out where?" Edgar asks.
" Now how much fun would it be if I told you? It's a surprise. Oh I just have to make a call to my mom really quick then everything will be set." I say stepping away from the table. Dialing my moms number. I ask her if I could borrow the Escalade tomorrow. Of course she said yes, and she brought it over after everyone wby to bed.
" Thanks mom, love you." I say as I drop her off at the house. I go back to the house and goes to sleep myself.
