Chapter 26

The next day around lunch the phone rings, it was an unknown number, I felt an urge to answer it so I did. It was a man, who I never heard before. He was asking me strange questions, about my size and things, so I hung up. But a few minutes later, A man and a tux come knocking on the door, he looks like the prince's butler who drove him yesterday. He wanted me to come with him for some reason, Max wasn't home yet, his job wanted him to come in during the day today. Butler had a fixed and serious tone that made me leave a note to Max stating that the Butler came and wants me to go with him, and I don't know when I would be back.

Riding in the back of a limousine alone felt weird, not knowing that we would arrive at the Prince's home. His house was huge, it had over 20 large French windows, the off white paint of the House went well with the flowers planted in front. A beautiful flower garden in the back, it was like a dream house. I have seen it many times I'm television but in real life, it felt totally different.

Standing on the steps leading to the big front door, we're all male butlers facing outwards. The butler who brought me here leads me into the prince's house, The inside was glamorous, it had a Crystal chandelier and everything. All I could think was' wow'.  He leads me to the Prince, who was standing in the middle of a room, Big enough to be a ballroom.

"Good afternoon, miss." The Prince says as the butler bows and leaves.

"Good afternoon your majesty," I say admiring the room.

"I'm sorry to intrude your day, but I would like to get you fitted for a dress, for the families ball." He says with a gentle voice that echoes in the room.

" Your majesty.." I Started to say when he interrupts me.

"Please call me Baba." He says with a big smile.

"I'm sorry but I cannot call you that, nor can be fitted for your family's ball. I am just stranger to you and your family who has done her good deed. There is no need to over exaggerate." I say as his face changes as if he is trying to do dissect my words.

" I may have saved your brother from something serious twice, and you're welcome. But I shall be going now, thank you, your majesty." I continue as I turned around heading to the big doors remembering my way out. After I exit his house, I ask one of the butlers who was standing on the steps to drive me home. On the way back to my house, The limousine comes to a halt the door opens and six men, six butlers enters.

"Hello, miss, Prince Baba sent us to help you get ready for the ball." The youngest one says. They all remind me of some sort of anime I watched when I was a child, just an American version.

Each one of the butlers had a different color handkerchief in their jacket, I wonder what that meant. They each have their own flaws, like the youngest who spoke, had silky short blonde hair with light green eyes. He looked like he was the chipper one of the bunch.

"I'm sorry, who are you?" I as looking at all of them.

" I am Brian, this is my brother Brown." Brian had brown hair with light brown eyes, he had blush cheeks. Brown nodded his head, he had grayish hair with extremely dark brown eyes, not black but brown. Brown has skinny glasses that accented his eyes.

"This is Edgar, Edmond, Norman, and Seth," Brian said all of the names and each one raised their hand. Edgar was the young one who spoke first.

" OK, thank you for clarifying that but like I told the Prince that I will not be attending the family ball. I am going home and living my own life. Brian, Brown Edgar, Edmond, Norman and Seth please send the Prince my apologies." I say as the limo arrives at my home, I get out and goes inside.

I look around the house without Max anywhere in sight. I felt lonely, not coming home to someone. I decided to wait, for him to come home when the door opens, looking over to six men.

"What are you doing, get out!" I yell getting up from the couch, walking over to them.

" Prince Baba said to get you ready for the ball, and if you deny the offer we have to say with you." Says Brown as he pushes up his glasses with his arms crossed.

" Why, don't answer that. Please got out of my house." I say pushing them out, locking the door. "I don't want to go to the ball or deal with any of you, no offense. So please go away." I say through the door.

Max texts my phone, saying that he's going to be working late and that his family wants him to stay with them for a few days.

Ugh, why is this happening to me?!?
