I run as fast as I can running away from that man. Somehow he catches up to me, punching me into the ground trying my hands ripping my clothes.

I wake up in a panic, my heart pounding struggling to breathe I look around to my surroundings. It was just a dream, but it felt so real. I suddenly felt a hand touch my shoulder, and I jump but I knew it was only Max.

"Are you okay?" He says putting his hand down, his worried eyes look at me. I calmed my heartbeat and breathing before answering.

"Yeah, it was just a bad dream.," I say giving him a gentle smile.

"You sure.." He replies with a thick accent, that I didn't notice before. I nod my head agreeing that I was fine. We laid back down with me on his chest, after a few minutes I listen to his steady breaths and heartbeat, I couldn't go back to sleep.

When I heard Max starting to wake up, I quickly close my eyes trying to think of good thoughts. He moves over towards me putting his arm around my body. I pretend that I was sleeping and woke up with a yawn. I look over my shoulder to a half sleep handsome man, smiling at me. It was nice to see him like this, be here like this with him.
I was just a dream, I shouldn't worry about anything but it still scares me when I close my eyes.

We continue our day like any other day, we go to school and I drop him off at home and I go to work. Today, when I got off work I came home to a full course home, made dinner.

"What was all this about Max?" I ask taking a sip of my tea.

"Well I was saving it till the end of the meal but I got a job, it's not official but I'm for sure it's mine." He says in a happy tone.

"Congratulations, where is it?"  I say happily.

"It's at the store a few blocks from here,  I'm just going to be a person who restocks the shelves and stuff." He replies as he takes my plate.

"That's amazing, when do you start?" I ask taking another sip of my drink.

"Tomorrow, and it's a night shift so I won't be coming home until morning." He says with an expressionless face.

"oh..." I say finishing the rest of my drink in one gulp, coughing after I swallow. I look at me with worry, but I play it off. I wonder why he took a job with such crazy hours, he'll be exhausted by the time school starts. And he said he would be restocking shelves, that shouldn't have crazy hours. We continue our night and the next morning. I started to get really lonely after he started his job, I started to cherish waking up with him or Max coming home just to say good morning.

It's been five months science Max started his job, I've been taking on more time at work to fill the lonely time by myself. We have already graduated and both put applications in for college, I put sent in my top five, and Max put in his top seven.

"They're here!" Max yells as he walks in from work. I was a bit confused but when I saw him hold up a bunch of big envelopes, all I could is stand there. He walked over to the table and place all of them down. He looks at me and says "It's okay, I'm here..." I slowly nod my head and walk over to him. My heart starts pulsing as soon as I sit down. I take a deep breath still feeling my heart race.

"Okay let's do our last choice first and then our first choice last, okay?" I say and Max nods. we both pick up our last choice and I see his hands start shaking, I reach over and grab his hand, I mouth 'I'm here.' we open them up and I read -I am sorry to inform you that...- I take a deep breath and say."What does yours say?" He looks up from the letter.

"I didn't get in..." he says like it wasn't an issue.

"But! there's more so don't let that change your attitude!" I say pointing my finger as if it was a fact and I smiled, I gave max a kiss and we laughed. We open the other choices and got in, we gave each other the last one which was our top school. I feel my face grow hot as I hear him open the letter, I look at him and he pulls me onto his lap. He gives me a big passionate kiss before sliding the letter and reading

" The UC Davis School of Medicine has received many applications from outstanding students throughout California, the United states, and countries around the world. Your academic achievements have placed you among the outstand applicants for the UC Davis School of Medicine, on behalf of *****, it gives me great pleasure to inform you that the Faculty of ***** has recommended your admission." He says looking at me, and gives me a hug, and looks down at his letter in my hands. I open and a start reading,

"Congratulations, you have been accepted..." I look over and he looks at the table disappointed, is there something wrong? "Max, what's wrong..?"

"Oh, nothing to worry about." He responds and I shoot him a dirty look. "You know I have when you do that babe.*kiss* My father wanted me to get into that school so bad just because he went, and I don't want to tell him that I got in, and I don't want to message (lie) to him..."

"Then don't tell him anything, if he asks you then say you didn't get it it's not a lie, it more like a fib... and you didn't get it's in my possession," I say, then I raise it in the air as he tries to take it, I hop out of his lap and run to the other side of the table, he stands up and smiles he says,

"It's like that huh." .he chases me around the house until my legs get tired running into the bedroom. I turn to the door as he comes in, he slowly walked to me wrapping his arms around me. He looks at me passionately, then he takes a step forward and I take a step back, still holding me we walk to the bed. He lays me down and crawls on top of me, he holds my hip gently as he kisses me. He kisses my cheek and then my neck, he gives me a love bite but then he backs away.

"Sorry..."  He says then sits at the end of the bed,  I lean up and go over to him and wrap my arms under his.

"It's oka," I say then I give him a kiss on the cheek. " Let's lay down," I add on and we do so.
