That night Max decided to go home for the night, and when he left I felt lonely. But while we were walking home he was texting me, it seemed like he really cared for me. You know I never met a man who made me feel so secure he's not like all the other boys so dumb and immature. The next day I when over to his house, I had a chance to catch up with his family which was fun.

I stayed for lunch and dinner, then everyone went to sleep. Max and I stayed up talking about how much fun we had. It's five o'clock in the morning conversation got boring he said he's going to bed soon. So, I snuck off to his bedroom and I thought I'd just wait there until I heard him come up the stairs. I pretended I was sleeping and I was hoping he would creep in with me.

He put his arm around my shoulder it was as if the room got colder, we moved closer in together and started talking about the weather. He said 'tomorrow would be fun because we could watch our place in the sun.'

I didn't know where this was going then he kissed me.

When he flashes up on my phone I no longer feel alone like I use to. I haven't left here for days now and I'm becoming amazed how he's quite affectionate in public. In fact, his friend said it made her feel sick, and even though it's moving forward that's just the right amount of awkward and today he accidentally called me baby. We have had fun these last couple of weeks until we looked at the calendar and noticed school was about to begin again.

" Hun, have you seen my geometry book?" I ask Max.

"It's in your hand, are you all right...?" He asks with concern, he comes over to me and gives me a kiss and says. "Everything is going to be all right if people don't like us it's their problem, not ours."

"That's what my mother used to say, Max... Do you want to meet my parents...?" I ask shyly, and he nods kissing me again. He seemed sure about meeting them, I hope he's ready to be interrogated by my mom.

"Let's do it Friday, is that all right?" He asks me, I nod with agreement. It's in two days just in case he changes his mind.

I give him the basics of my parents, I told him why I left home again and my trust issues. I even told him after meeting my parents it was okay to leave.

"I will never leave you, baby, you should know that." He says lifting my head and considers my eyes. " I will never try to leave you..." He adds on, knowing that anything is a possibility. He kisses me and he slips out a recipe from the cabinet. He gives me a huge smile and says with a strong accent. "Really to make cookies?"

We take out all the ingredients and put them on the counter when I get the bowl from the bottom drawer he wraps his arms around me pulling me close to him. I lean up with the bowl in my hand and turn around wrapping my arms around his neck, we start swaying side to side he takes out his phone and starts playing music. I smile at him but a flashback of Christian and Matthew came. My smile faded away, and I said.

"I'm sorry I can't... I-I.." I didn't finish my sentence when Max kissed me.

"I'm here for you, whatever it is I will do differently." He said.

"Max, it's not you it's the past which I want to forget. But no matter what I try it won't go away..."

"The past is a wicked thing, and wicked things hurt people. Try to make the best of the past try to say, 'the past won't hurt me. I can only make a better future.' Okay."

"the past won't hurt me. I can only make a better future." I look at him and smile, "let's make some cookies"

We laugh and kiss and have a great time making the cookies. After the first batch cools, down we both go for the same one, and we put the cookie between us. We take a bite at the same time doing a lady and the tramp, we start to kiss repeatedly till the next batch is done. The door rang as the timer went off, who would that be?

" I'll race ya.123, close" max says as we both run to the door, I made it first and open the door as Max comes and wraps his arms around me. I immediately closed the door and locked it, I turn around to Max with angry and sad tears filling up on my eyes.
