"And for the final projects, I want you all to research on your powers. This means you will delve into the history of your powers, and find out from where it originated. This project is for everyone, and whoever doesn't submit it by the end of the month is going to repeat their final year of history," Mr. Aimes said, and the class gave out a collective groan, including TJ.

Though she liked the history class, but research work was never her thing. It was always Bren who did the research while she compiled it, and print it. Last, to last year when she and Asher were partners, Asher did the research while TJ compiled it. Asher did the presentation work too. She was lazy like that, plus she didn't like to search the whole internet to get the matter. Give the matter to her, and she'll compile it like a pro.

As the class dismissed, Amaya and Rafael joined TJ to their walk to the next class.

"It's not fair, Mr. Aimes always give the toughest projects," Amaya whined.

"It's not tough for me. Our family had the first technopath, my dad, grandpa, great-grandpa, and so on. All the men in the family are technopaths," Rafael said proudly, and Amaya stuck her tongue at him in annoyance.

"Well I have to study and find out because my powers are not hereditary," TJ told them.

"What? How did you get them?" Rafael asked, his doubts were turning real.

"I don't know. My parents said something about a blast happening here, 18 years ago which made them lose their powers and my mother was expecting me. When I was born they thought I too had no powers, but I think it was some side effect, that what Father says, made me a late bloomer," TJ explained, and the twins nodded.

"'Hey TJ?" Rafael asked as they sat in the class.

"Yep?" She asked turning to face him.

"I think you'll find something in the library. There are many books about powers and everything," Rafael told her and TJ smiled.

"Thanks dude, you helped me big time," She thanked him, raising her hand in a fist bump, but Rafael looked at her with confusion. "A fist bump, dude," TJ said in a duh tone, but Rafael was still confused. "Make a fist and bump it with mine," TJ groaned, Rafael nodded and did what she said.

"What does this mean?" Rafael asked and TJ slapped her head.

"You and Amy really need some human education classes," TJ said, and the twins looked at her as if she was an alien. "Holy Mother of Dragons" TJ muttered to herself. She turned to the twins "You both are spending the weekend with me, except Sunday," TJ told them, and they grinned at her.

"Why not Sunday?" Rafael asked.

"Because I study on Sundays," TJ told them, and Amy and Rafael gave her an incredulous look at which TJ just laughed.

After practice hour, Amaya, Rafael, and TJ were walking towards their room when Dean stopped them.

"Hey, guys!" Dean greeted them.

"Hi, Dean!" They said collectively.

"I was going to the town this weekend, you guys want to hang out?" Dean asked the trio.

"No can do, TJ is teaching us human education this weekend," Amaya said cheerfully.

"Human education?" Dean asked, looking at TJ with amusement.

"Just watching movies, showing them how to fist bump, gosh they don't know fist bumps," TJ said.

"And she said she'll show us the Mother of Dragons! That is so cool!" Rafael added.

"Master Regina and Melinda?" Dean asked and TJ gave him a confused look, "And what are movies and what bump?" He asked, and TJ's confused look changed to that of horror.

"Fucking hell guys! Come on Dean, you are coming with us. Postpone your trip for next week," TJ said, holding Dean's hand, and dragging him with them to her dorm.

"Or maybe on Sunday," Rafael said as they entered the hostel.

"Why not Sunday?" Dean asked.

"Because TJ studies on Sunday," Rafael said and it was Dean's turn to look at TJ with horror.

"Who the hell studies on a Sunday?" Dean asked incredulously.

"Me and Asher. Sometimes even Nat and Mark. Bren too, well he studies all the time but yeah. We study on Sundays," TJ rambled defensively, as they entered her and Amaya's room. "Contrary to popular beliefs, jocks study," TJ added.

"What are jocks?" Amaya asked.

"Players," TJ told her, "People who play a sport," TJ explained. "Make yourselves comfortable, Enchanters, because the first thing I am going to show you is the amazing Marvel world, then we'll move to DC, and then probably rom-com, or something like that," TJ said and the trio nodded in confusion.

"I wish we had a T.V," TJ wished as she switched on her laptop.

"What's a T.V?" Rafael asked.

"Television, it's a big screen where you can watch matches and movies etc," TJ explained.

"You mean like a Simitron?" Rafael asked and TJ looked at him weirdly.

TJ googled TV, and showed it to Rafael making him grin, "I've got this, I'll just go and get it from my room!" Rafael said as he got up from TJ's bed.

"No, wait!" TJ said and looked at Dean who was sitting on the chair of her study table, "Dean is it wrong if I use my powers outside the campus?" TJ asked and Dean shook his head. "Great!" TJ said as she conjured a portal to Rafael's room.

"Wow, this is super cool! Give me a second," Rafael said before entering through the portal into his room.

TJ made the portal stay as she opened her bag to get the chargers and HDMI cable.

"How are you doing that so easily?" Dean asked TJ who was busy digging out stuff from her bag.

"Doing what?" TJ asked turning to Dean. Dean was standing in front of TJ.

"Holding that portal without actually holding it," Dean explained and TJ looked at the portal, she could see Rafael going through his things.

"I don't know. I was practicing a day before the simulation test, and I wished for the portal to stay, and it did," TJ said, Dean nodded, and TJ took a step back turning to Amaya.

"Hey, Amy. Do you have anything to eat? We could eat something while watching movies," TJ asked her roommate who shook her head.

"I can go to the store downstairs and get something," Amaya offered, TJ and Dean nodded as Amaya stood up from her bed.

"Wait, don't walk," TJ said as she conjured another portal to the store.

"Thanks, TJ!" Amaya said and jumped through the portal.

TJ wished for the portal to stay, and removed her hand one by one.

"Wow, you put two portals on hold. That's great!" Dean complemented and TJ grinned.

Dean was standing close to TJ, he was so close that she could smell his cologne. His smell was strong and earthy. TJ's heart was beating fast as she saw Dean taking a step forward. What was he doing? TJ wondered looking up at Dean who too was looking at her intently.

"Dean?" TJ said but her voice wasn't even loud. It was a mere whisper.

"You have gorgeous eyes," Dean said softly, and TJ opened her mouth but nothing came out.

"I got it!" Rafael's voice made Dean step back, and TJ sighed with relief as she saw Rafael coming out of the portal. As soon as Rafael entered her room, the portal closed on its own.

"That was so cool!" Rafael exclaimed, but TJ was too shocked to say anything.

"I didn't close it. I just thought that I'll close it after Raffy comes but I didn't close it," TJ wondered aloud.

"Maybe it works like that. I mean you wished the portal to stay, and wished for it to close as Rafael comes back. Maybe it works on your wishes," Dean pointed out and TJ nodded.

"Maybe, let's watch what happens when Amy returns," TJ said and Dean nodded.

A few minutes later, Amaya came through the portal with snacks in her hands. As soon as Amaya entered the room, the portal disappeared.

"Neat trick!" Rafael said and TJ smiled.

"Holy Mother of Dragons! That was some cool shit!" TJ shouted, and fist pumped in the air.

"Why do you say that?" Dean asked, and TJ raised an eyebrow at him, "Holy Mother of Dragons," Dean said.

"Oh, I was watching Game of thrones in the living room, my parents weren't home, and everyone was busy. So Mother came home, and I swearing because Game of Thrones makes you do that. So Mother was like, 'stop swearing in the house, or I'll cut your pocket money'. So I turned Holy Fuck to Holy Mother of Dragons or something like that," TJ explained and everyone laughed.

"Why do you swear so much?" Amaya asked, wrinkling her face.

"Blame it on the company. I wasn't a swear master till I was 12, then it was all lacrosse and my friends, so I got influenced," TJ explained.

"This is getting interesting, tell us about yourself. We can watch movies or whatever later," Dean said.

"Yeah, your human world is interesting," Rafael said and Amaya nodded.

"Alright, shoot," TJ said, and everyone looked at her weirdly. TJ rolled her eyes, these guys would take a lot of time to understand her slang, "Ask your questions," TJ simplified and they nodded collectively.

"Where are you from?" Amaya asked.

"I was born and brought up in Riverisle, West Virginia. It's a town which is kind of an island but it's the rivers which are around it. It's a small town, we only have one school there so everyone knows everybody," TJ told them.

"There are supposed to be other schools in a town?" Amaya asked.

"There can be, I mean in big cities, and other big counties there is more than one school, but Riverisle is quite a small town," TJ told them, "This doesn't mean we are old fashioned or backward or anything," TJ added.

"You said you play Lacrosse, what's that?" Dean asked.

"Umm, Lacrosse is a sport...how to explain...you know anything about hockey or soccer?" TJ asked and they shook their heads.

"Wait, I'll show you. I have some of my game recorded, Father always recorded my games," TJ said as she took her laptop, and opened the folder where she saved her recordings.

She played her finals in her sophomore year, and Rafael, Amaya, and Dean looked at the recording with interest.

"Is that you?" Dean asked pointing at the girl with 8 number jersey.

"Yep, that's me. I play as the center forward...this is a goalkeeper...these are the defenders," TJ explained to them as the game played. "Basically we have to take the ball in our crosse, or lacrosse stick, and take it to the other goal which the other team's goalkeeper is protecting, and score," TJ explained as the game played on, and Ashley scored a goal. The camera shifted to Mark and Nat who were shouting, and screaming TJ's name, and then it showed Bren who was jumping, then it shifted to TJ's Mother and Asher's dad who were in a deep conversation.

It was half time as the recording paused a bit, and it continued as the halftime ended. TJ decided to keep the game going because, Dean, Amaya, and Rafael were too interested in the game.

The game was going 2-2, and it was the last 5 minutes of the game, and TJ saw Rafael biting his nails. She almost laughed. It was two minutes before time up that Fiona passed the ball to TJ and she saw an opening and hit the ball, and it went past the goalkeeper, in the middle of the net.

Her team cheered the score was now 3-2, as the time was over the team cheered and jumped at the victory. TJ ran towards the bleachers and hugged the boy who wore a black leather jacket, and black jeans. He held her and spun her while TJ screamed in happiness. He put her down, and TJ pecked his lips before running towards the Coach who presented the team with the trophy, and the video ended.

TJ smiled. It was one of the best days of her life, Asher had taken her to his favorite spot which was a waterfall which appeared only in the monsoon, and they were lucky because it was the monsoon going on, and Asher had told her that he loved her, TJ too confessed her love for him.

"Hey, cool game! It's so much better than video games!" Rafael said and Amaya squealed in excitement.

"This is so cool. I've never seen anything like that, and you play so well!" Amaya complemented.

"Thanks, guys!" TJ grinned and looked at Dean who was still looking at her laptop and saw what caught Dean's eyes. It was her wallpaper. It was a picture of her and Asher with Nat, Mark, Bren, Ashley, and Cara. They went to the Carnival and asked someone to take their picture.

"We went to a Carnival, it was taken after Cara and Ashley made everyone pose so they could get a group picture for Facebook," TJ told him, "Facebook is a social networking site, you can post pictures, write stuff, share articles and make new friends. Turns out that this picture ended up in the school yearbook as the picture with most likes," TJ smiled at the memory.

"Ooh, this girl is a cutie," Rafael said pointing at Ashely.

"Yeah, but sorry she has a girlfriend," TJ said and Rafael's face fell.

"Not again! All the girls I like have boyfriends or are gay. Why me?" Rafael whined and Amaya and TJ laughed.

"Don't worry, Raffy. You'll get a girl soon," Amaya told her brothe, but laughed at him at the same time.

"Yeah, I'm an amazing matchmaker. I even did it for my friends. Mark and Cara met at a party because of me. Ashley's coming out was because I kept bugging her too much. I even found my best-friend a girlfriend, just Bren is left," TJ said.

"What about you?" Dean asked, speaking for the first time after watching the video.

"What about me?" TJ asked with confusion.

"You didn't find someone for yourself?" Dean asked and TJ's smile dropped.

"I...uh..." TJ couldn't speak.

"Oh, Dean you are so silly. Didn't you see her kissing that hunk?" Amaya giggled.

"Yeah, I did. Who is he?" Dean asked, his voice challenging, and TJ couldn't say anything. What would she tell them?

"Yeah, I didn't know you have a boyfriend," Amaya asked.

"Uh...That's Asher" TJ said, pointing at Asher in the photo. "He and I are complicated," TJ said with a small voice.

"Oooooo. Boy problems! Temme, temme, temme" Amaya said with excitement.

"Yeah, TJ tell us," Rafael said, his voice was concerned unlike his twin's.

"You can tell us," Dean said, his face was expressionless, and TJ looked uncomfortable.

Finally, after contemplating, TJ sighed, "Asher is no more," TJ said softly, stopping herself from breaking down.

TJ heard a loud gasp which she knew was from Amaya.

"Asher was in an accident a year back. He didn't survive, we didn't even find his body," TJ said, looking at the picture.

They looked so happy, Asher was laughing as TJ made a funny face before the picture was clicked. TJ wished she could make the time reverse, and stop Asher, and save him.

"I'm so sorry, TJ," It was Dean who said that, and TJ looked up to see tears in Amaya's eyes and Rafael looking at TJ with concern, his arm around his sister.

"No, it's okay. I feel Asher with me all the time. It's like I can hear him in my head," TJ tried to cheer up the mood but all she wanted was to hug Asher and cry. "Hey, I didn't want to depress anyone. Now come on Raffy, set up your Simitron. We have movies to watch, and now we are starting with Batman. I swear you guys will love him," TJ said trying to lighten up the mood, and it did the work as Amaya wiped her tears, and Rafael got up, and started setting up the thing.

"You are awfully strong, TJ," Dean told her, giving her a small smile, and TJ smiled back.

"Nah, I was a mess, but Asher always said, that even if he wasn't here, he was always here," TJ said with a small smile playing on her lips as a warm hand held hers and she looked, and saw Asher smiling at her widely. "And he wasn't lying. He will always be here," TJ said looking at Asher and then looked at Dean who just smiled at her.

__

It was Sunday after breakfast when TJ decided to go to the library and research for the history project.

"I really miss our study sessions," Asher said as he sat on the chair beside TJ.

"Me too," TJ sighed. "I should really talk to Nat, I miss him more than anything. This place has no bloody reception," TJ grumbled.

"Yeah me too. I can't believe I thought he was your boyfriend. I was as oblivious as you," Asher laughed.

"I wasn't oblivious!" TJ defended herself, and Asher raised an eyebrow at her, "A bit. Just because I didn't know who you were, doesn't make me oblivious. My focus was elsewhere," TJ argued, and Asher rolled his eyes. "You didn't even know who I was, or Nat or any of my friends, you were more oblivious than me," TJ pointed out.

"Oh please, it's called not caring, not being oblivious of one's surrounding," Asher argued back.

"Oh yeah? How did you not know that I was in almost all your classes, and you had the gym with me," TJ countered with a smirk.

"I told you I didn't care. I always slept in the classes, how would I know who you are when I sleep all the day, and I didn't go to the gym until we officially met," Asher said and TJ felt a blush creeping up her neck.

"I'm better than you, at least I knew you were in my class, I just never saw your face," TJ scoffed, and opened the huge book on the table, and went through the contents.

"It's good I saved it for the day we met, at least I saw you drooling over me," Asher smirked and TJ hit his arm without looking him.

"Asshole," She muttered as she turned to page 394 to the page where it was written about planes and portals.

"This reminds me of Harry Potter," Asher mused as he saw the page number and a smile crept up on TJ's face.

"I loved that book," TJ grinned.

"No, you loved that movie. I read the books and you saw the movies," Asher reminded her with an amused smile. "Just like you like Pride and Prejudice the movie, Sherlock Holmes the show, not the books," Asher added and TJ glared at him and Asher snickered.

"Ugh, whatever," TJ grumbled and started reading.

"No, it's not whatever, I read the books. I read the Song Fire and Ice series and you watched the show, I read and research and you compile it. It has always been that " Asher said, sadness evident in his voice, making TJ looked at him.

"Then what are you waiting for, moron. Start reading," TJ said passing him another book, and Asher grinned at TJ who smiled, and shook her head and started reading.

TJ lost the track of time, she and Asher were looking for references and clicked pictures of the page from what Rafael called a screenshorter. You put it above the page or whatever, click the button, and it scans the image for you. This was an Enchanter camera, TJ thought.

"TJ?" A voice said, and TJ looked up from the book, and saw Calista standing behind her table.

"Oh, good morning ma'am," TJ smiled at her and Calista gave her amused look.

"It's afternoon, my child. Almost 2 p.m." Calista said TJ's eyes widened. She didn't even realize. She started at 10 in the morning, and it didn't even seem like time had passed.

"Oh, my bad. I lost track of time," TJ said as she heard Asher laughing like an idiot beside her.

"It's alright, what are you reading?" Calista asked her, and TJ felt like she should tell Calista everything.

"There is a project given to us by Mr. Aimes about writing the history of our powers. My friends say that their powers are hereditary so they don't have much research to do. But none of my parents have powers, well they had but it was nothing like mine. So Rafael said I could get stuff in the library because you guys don't have Enchanter Google," TJ joked but Calista didn't get it.

"Google?" Calista asked.

"It's a search engine, on the internet. It's human thing," TJ explained vaguely, but Calista nodded. TJ wanted to invite Calista to her human education session which turned out to be a huge success. But obviously, Calista was her headmistress, not her friend.

Rafael was obsessed with Batman, and Amaya wouldn't shut up about how hot Thor was. While Dean was more interested in the Game of Thrones, he took a quick liking for it.

"Oh alright. Maybe I can help, tell me what have you learned about your powers?" Calista asked her curiously, sitting on the chair across her.

"I didn't get much about my powers, honestly. These books don't have any information about people who could open portals, but I did learn that many planes exist except for the one we live in. I just got to know that this school is on another plane named Iiliria. There is a dimension full of ice, and one full of fire. The most interesting thing is the parallel plane," TJ told her, "It's a plane which looks just like the earth but there is nothing there..." TJ trailed as she realized something.

'I've seen what you can do before you did it'

"Holy Mother of Dragons!" TJ muttered to herself.

"Is something wrong?" Calista asked, and TJ looked at her with panic.

'I just wonder how you don't know what you can do when you sent me here'

"Yes," TJ said as weaved her hands through her hair. What the fuck did she do!

"Tell me, Tiffany. You are scaring me," Calista said worriedly as she stood up from her chair, and went towards TJ who was on the verge of a panic attack.

Calista touched TJ's shoulder, and TJ wrapped her arms around Calista and began to sob.

'I don't know what it is called but I am the only one who is here'

"What did I do" TJ muttered to herself, "What did I do!" She repeated.

"Calm down, child. Calm down," Calista consoled wrapping her arms around TJ and soothed her hair. Calista felt TJ stop crying, and made her look at her. "What is it, Tiffany? Tell me" Calista asked, and for the first time, TJ didn't snap at anyone for calling her Tiffany. The first time Tiffany didn't sound out of place.

'You sent me here'

"I think...I think I sent Asher into the Parallel Plane,"
