Never The Ember
Chapter 50: (Aaira's pov)
Three years had passed since the traumatic incident that had changed everything in our lives. Time, though often harsh, had also been a healer. Looking back, it was a reminder of how much everything had shifted.
Jungkook, who had once been overwhelmed with anger and pain, had begun to transform into a more understanding and compassionate person. The anger that had once clouded his judgment was now replaced by patience.
In the middle of all this change, Soobin and Y/n had returned to our lives, there were so many grudges that need to be sorted, it took us all time but we did. Their return was a breath of fresh air, though at first people were really not happy. Not even them.
It had been a bit of a surprise when they decided to come back, but it was a welcome one, at least from my side. They had resumed their lives here and, unexpectedly, found each other again. Their friendship had blossomed into a loving partnership, and it was heartwarming to see them so happy together.
Aimin, My every shining was now a bright and lively six-year-old, had grown into a curious and affectionate little boy. Despite his young age, he had a strong sense of his own feelings and emotions, he talks just like his father. It was clear that he was still very much a mama's boy.
Elin, our precious two-year-old daughter, was the spitting image of Jungkook, aswell. She had inherited his deep brown eyes and the same mischievous smile. Though when she was born, my In-laws were not so satisfied, but Jungkook handled everything.
Aimin's attachment to me was unexpressive, but it also came with its own set of challenges. Aimin is more of a mumma's boy. And the arrival of his little sister, Elin. Aimin was undoubtedly jealous of her. He struggled with the attention she received, which, in his eyes, seemed to overshadow the love he was used to getting.
Elin was lively, always exploring and learning new things, and it was clear that she had a strong connection with her father. Jungkook had become more attentive and involved in her life, and it was heartwarming to see him embrace fatherhood with such dedication.
The dynamic between Aimin and Elin was complicated. Aimin's jealousy was not just about sharing attention; it was also about the fear of being replaced. He had been the center of our world for so long that having a new sibling was a significant shift.
I made sure to spend quality time with him, reassuring him. It was a delicate balance, trying to make him feel valued while also managing the needs of a growing family. Our marriage, too, had undergone a significant transformation. The years following the incident had been a journey of rediscovery and healing.
Jungkook had made a concerted effort to listen to me more, to understand my perspective, and to be present in our relationship. He was more willing to discuss issues openly, to listen to my concerns, and to make compromises.
Soobin's family had trouble accepting Y/n. She looked so much like me that it confused and upset them. They struggled to separate their feelings for me from their view of Y/n. Despite their initial resistance, Jungkook was clear and supportive of Y/n, which helped ease their discomfort. Gradually, Soobin's family began to accept her.
Y/n and I became close during this time. Our shared past helped us bond, and I was genuinely happy to see her find her place away from the old couple, even though she looked so much like me, which had once led me to hate her and my own self.
But eventually, Soobin's family accepted Y/n. To mark this new beginning in their both lives, Y/n dyed her hair a striking dark crimson. It was a bold choice, but it suited her well and symbolized her new start. She said she didn't want to be an image of me anymore, she wanted to change.
Hwasa Noona, however, continued to be a problem. She never fully joined our circle and kept making trouble for Y/n and Soobin. Even though her behavior was annoying, we learned to ignore her and focus on our own relationships.
The healing process also included apologies. Jungkook apologized to Y/n for the pain he had caused her, and Y/n apologized to Jungkook for the hurt she had inflicted on him. Both their apologies were important, cause somehow both of their lives had got, affected or cheated.
Aimin and Elin didn't have the best relationship. Even though they were siblings, their bond was strained. They both looked exactly like Jungkook, with the same striking features. The only difference was that Elin had emerald-green eyes like mine, while the rest of her face was a perfect copy of Jungkook's.
When Elin was born, Jungkook joked about having another child who looked just like him. His teasing about having another mini version of himself didn't sit well with me, especially since Both our children's resemblance to him was so strong.
Elin grew closer to Jungkook as time went on. Despite his family's initial disappointment with the birth of a girl, they eventually came around to accepting her. Jungkook took a firm stand in supporting his daughter, despite the resistance from his family. He was determined to show them how much he valued Elin, regardless of their initial reactions. Meanwhile, Aimin remained very close to me.
***
The sun was beginning to ride, as I prepared to give Elin her bath. The water in the wooden tub was warm, with just enough bubbles to delight her. She giggled and splashed playfully, sending droplets of water onto my apron and soaking my sleeves.
Carefully, I eased Elin into the tub, making sure she was comfortably seated. The small gown I had chosen for her lay neatly on a nearby stool, ready for when her bath was done. As I gently washed her, I couldn't help but admire her resemblance to Jungkook. Her dark hair was a little damp, curling softly around her face. I ran a washcloth over her, being mindful of her delicate skin, and she responded with joyful squeals and splashes.
Once she was clean, I wrapped her in a soft towel and lifted her from the tub, her tiny feet dangling. I dried her carefully, brushing her hair and dressing her in the small gown. It was a simple garment, but it was adorned with delicate lace and embroidery, which made her look like a little princess. The gown was soft and comfortable.
After dressing Elin, I moved to Aimin's room to get him ready. He was already dressed in his suit, a miniature version of Jungkook's, complete with a crisp white shirt, a neatly pressed vest, and trousers that fit him just right. He looked so grown up in his suit, though he still had the same wide-eyed curiosity about him. I adjusted his tie, smoothing out any wrinkles in his outfit.
Aaira: You look very handsome, Aimin.
I said, giving him a warm smile. His face lit up with pride, and he twirled around a little, admiring his reflection in the mirror.
Aimin: Thanks mumma.
As Aimin gave me a proud smile, I gently turned him to face me and planted a kiss on his forehead. His cheeks flushed with happiness as he looked up at me with bright eyes. Just then, Jungkook walked in, holding Elin in his arms. He had a soft, contented smile on his face as he approached us.
Aaira: Take care of Aimin.
I said, my voice filled with both affection and urgency.
Aaira: I'll be heading to her ?
Jungkook nodded in understanding. He carefully placed Elin in the crook of his arm and extended his other hand towards Aimin.
Jungkook: Come on, little man. Let's stick together, okay?
Aimin, delighted by the attention, eagerly took Jungkook's hand. He looked up at his father with admiration. I watched them for a moment.
Aaira: Be good for your father, Aimin.
I said softly, giving him one last hug before I left.
Aimin nodded, as I made my way toward the door. I knew that with Jungkook by their side, both Aimin and Elin would be well cared for. With a final wave, I stepped out.
I made my way to Y/n's room, my heart brimming with excitement and nostalgia. Today was a special day, it was her wedding day. The hallways were very alive with the soft murmur of preparations and the scent of fresh flowers. As I approached her room, I took a deep breath, I pushed open the door.
When I entered, Y/n was standing in front of a large mirror, she wore a breathtaking white gown that flowed elegantly from her shoulders. The dress was a masterpiece of 1800s fashion, with intricate lace and embroidery adorning the bodice.
The delicate fabric cascaded in soft, billowing layers to the floor, trailing behind her like a river of silk. The gown's high, fitted waist was cinched with a satin ribbon, accentuating her slender figure. Her hair was arranged in an elaborate updo, with soft curls framing her face and a few loose tendrils cascading gently down her back.
A delicate veil, adorned with tiny pearls and lace, was pinned in place, adding a touch of ethereal beauty to her ensemble, she looked extremely beautiful. The veil fell gracefully over her shoulders and down her back, its lightness contrasting with the rich opulence of the gown.
The room was filled with the warm glow of candlelight, reflecting off the polished wooden furniture and creating a soft, romantic atmosphere. I approached her, who was nervously adjusting her veil and looking at her reflection.
Aaira: You look absolutely stunning, Y/n.
I said, my voice filled with genuine admiration. She turned to me, her eyes shining with a blend of happiness and nervousness.
Y/n: Thank you, Aaira. I can hardly believe today is finally here.
I moved closer, my hands gently reaching out to help with the final touches. The intricate lace on her gown needed to be arranged just right, and I carefully adjusted the folds and smoothened out any creases. Her hands were trembled slightly as she held still, her gaze fixed on the mirror.
Aaira: Just a few more adjustments, and you'll be perfect.
I decided to hold her hands to reassure her because, I saw her hands were trembling restlessly, now.
Aaira: Everything will be alright.
She smiled at me.
Y/n: It's my first time, I'm nervous.
I chuckled at her statement.
Aaira: It's almost everyone's first time, don't worry, it'll be your last too.
I worked meticulously, ensuring every detail was in place. I adjusted her veil, making sure it was secured and that the lace framing her face was positioned just so. As I worked, I couldn't help but feel a sense of nostalgia. Y/n's transformation from the girl I had once known to the stunning bride before me was emotional, it was like getting my twin sister ready.
Aaira: Do you have everything you need? The bouquet, the ring?
She nodded, her hand reaching out to touch the small bouquet of white roses and lilies that lay on the dressing table. The flowers were simple yet elegant, their fragrance mingling with the scent of her perfume.
Y/n: Yes, everything is ready.
I glanced around the room, ensuring that all the little details were attended to. The soft, muted colors of the decor-the pale pink drapes, the antique furniture, and the delicate china-enhanced the room's romantic ambiance.
Aaira: Everything is perfect. You're going to make a stunning bride, Y/n.
Suddenly, I noticed that her eyes glistened with tears. I looked at her in concern, noticing the shift in her figure. My smile faltered as I took a step closer, gently cupping her face to get her attention.
Aaira: Why are you crying? What happened?
She looked down, her gaze dropping to the floor, and I could see the tremble in her lips. I took her hands in mine and gently turned her to face me.
Y/n: I miss...
Her voice broke, and she struggled to continue, her emotions overwhelming her. She wiped at the tears that had begun to streak down her cheeks, her face contorting with sadness.
Y/n: I miss my parents.
My smile faded instantly, and I felt a pang of distress as her words sank in. I could see the depth of her pain, even though, my heart ached for her, but what her parents caused me was still something i could never forget, even if they are dead, I could still never forget what they did to me. I withdrew my hands from her cheeks, my own eyes filling with tears.
Y/n quickly tried to compose herself, her hand moving to hastily wipe away her tears. She looked at me with an apologetic expression, clearly distressed by her emotional outburst. She may have senses my unease as well.
Y/n: I'm sorry, Aaira. I shouldn't have said that. I didn't mean to upset you.
I stood there, staring blankly at the floor, my own emotions tangled in response. The room, which had felt so vibrant and alive moments ago, now seemed heavy with unspoken sorrow.
Aaira: It's okay, Y/n. I understand.
I shook my head, unable to find the right words. The thought of her missing her parents on such a significant day was heart-wrenching, yet, does they even deserve to be called as her parents ? I wish her real parents were here. I wanted to offer comfort, but the depth of her loss, and my own pain felt beyond what words alone could mend.
She reached out, her eyes brimming with tears as she tried to reassure me. Her distress was palpable, and I could see the genuine regret in her eyes. Despite her attempt to hide her emotions, her sorrow was clear.
Aaira: You don't need to apologize. It's okay to feel what you're feeling.
I took a deep breath, trying to steady myself and gather my thoughts. I reached out, placing a comforting hand on her shoulder.
Aaira: Your parents would be proud of you today, Y/n. I don't know, maybe they would want you to be happy. And even though they're not here, their love and memory are with you. May they bless you from wherever they are.
She nodded, trying to smile through her tears. The sadness in her eyes began to soften as she took in my words. She took a deep breath and managed a small, appreciative smile.
Y/n: Thank you, Aaira. Your words mean a lot to me.
I nodded, giving her a reassuring smile. We stood together for a moment, the weight of her emotions hanging in the air but tempered by our shared understanding.
Aaira: Let's focus on today. It's your special day, and it deserves to be celebrated with joy.
Y/n: I never thought, You'd be so sweet, I'm glad to have you as a friend.
I smiled warmly, touched by her words.
Aaira: I wouldn't miss it for the world.
With the final adjustments complete, Y/n took one last look at her reflection. I took her hand and led her towards the door, ready to guide her to the ceremony. As we stepped into the hallway, the soft strains of the wedding music began to play.
She and I walked together, the soft rustling of her gown and the scent of her bouquet creating an atmosphere of enchantment. We made our way to the grand hall, where the guests were already gathered, their murmurs of excitement mingling with the gentle strains of the music.
With the bride beside me, we settled into the carriage, the gentle clatter of the wheels on the cobblestone streets marking our progress toward the ceremony. As the ornate church spire loomed closer, her smile grew bigger.
Arriving at the destination, I gently assisted Y/n out of the carriage, my hand firmly but tenderly guiding her towards the grand church gates. The light from the chandeliers cast a warm, golden glow over the room, creating a fairy-tale setting for the occasion. I led Y/n to the entrance, where the ceremony was about to begin. She took a deep breath, her eyes scanning the room, and then turned to me with a smile.
Y/n: I'm ready.
I took Y/n's hand gently, guiding her towards the focal point of the ceremony where Soobin and his family awaited. Just then, Jungkook's father, who had come to terms with his own feelings, stepped forward.
Aaira: Y/n, Jungkook's father has kindly offered to escort you down the aisle.
Her eyes met his. He extended his hand, his expressions were warm and sincere.
Jungkook's Father: Shall we?
Y/n nodded, her fingers slipping into his hand as I gently set her hands into his. His grasp was firm yet gentle, like a real father, and he offered her a comforting smile. With a nod of approval, he began to lead her down the aisle.
The guests rose to their feet, their eyes fixed on Y/n as she walked towards the front. Her gaze remained focused ahead, her eyes meeting Soobin's as they drew closer. The look of love and admiration in Soobin's eyes was visible, and he held his position at the altar . Jungkook's father guided Y/n gently to the front, as he placed Y/n's hand in Soobin's. His nod was both understanding and kind.
Jungkook's Father: It was my pleasure.
With Y/n now standing beside Soobin, I stepped back, giving them space as the ceremony continued. I made my way to the front, where Jungkook was waiting. His gaze met mine, as I walked over to him, taking his hand in mine.
Aaira: Thanks for your wait.
I asked, my voice filled with a mixture of excitement and reassurance.
Jungkook: It was a long wait, yet, for my wife anything.
He pulled me into a gentle embrace, his touch both tender and loving. As we stood together, his eyes reflected the same warmth and affection he had shown me throughout our journey. The ceremony began, and the officiant stepped forward to address the couple.
He hugged me tightly, and I could feel the steady beat of his heart against my back. He rested his head lightly on my chin, his breath warm and soothing against my neck. The feeling was comforting, it reminds me of how far we had come and the strength of our bond.
The officiant, standing at the front of the hall, addressed the guests with a tone that was both serious and ceremonious.
Officiant: We are now at a crucial part of the ceremony. If there is anyone here who objects to this marriage, please speak now or forever hold your peace.
The room fell into a hushed silence. The guests exchanged glances, the couple were confident enough that no one will object. The officiant repeated again.
Officiant: If there is anyone here who objects to this marriage, please speak now or forever hold your peace.
The only sounds were the soft rustle of fabric and the distant murmur of the evening's festivities. My heart pounded in my chest, as I felt Jungkook's hold on me tighten.
Jungkook: Everything will be alright.
He murmured softly, his voice was a comforting reassurance in the stillness. His words were meant for me, but they seemed to calm the atmosphere.
The seconds ticked by, each one stretching into what felt like an eternity. The silence was thick, almost palpable, as the guests awaited any potential objections. The officiant stood patiently, his gaze sweeping over the crowd, waiting for any sign of dissent. He decided to confirm for the third and the last time.
Officiant: This is the last time we're asking, If there is anyone here who objects to this marriage, please speak now or forever hold your peace.
Finally, after what felt like an eternity, the officiant spoke again, breaking the silence with a decisive tone.
Officiant: Hearing no objections, we may proceed.
A collective sigh of relief swept through the room.
Officiant: Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today to witness and celebrate the union of Soobin and Y/n. This day marks the beginning of a new chapter in their lives, one that will be filled with love, commitment, and shared dreams.
The officiant turned to Choi Soobin and Moon Y/n, guiding them through their vows. Soobin spoke first, his voice steady and heartfelt.
Soobin: Moon Y/n, from the moment we met, you have brought light into my life, I could never imagine, I would meet a girl as a child and she'd become so special to me. Your strength, kindness, and love have made me a better person, always. I've always tried to adapt and learn from you. Today, I vow to stand by your side through all of life's challenges and joys. I promise to cherish you, support you, and love you with all my heart. You are my partner, my best friend, and my greatest love.
Y/n's eyes shone with emotion, as she started crying, we all awed in response, her voice trembling slightly but filled with sincerity.
Y/n: Choi Soobin, you have been my rock and my confidant in the hardest time if my life, when I had no one, I still had you always supporting me and cherishing me for who I was. Even, when I forget you, you didn't give up on me and give us a second chance. Your unwavering support and unconditional love have given me strength and hope, I would have died three and a half years ago, if I didn't have you in my life. Today, I vow to stand by you, to love you with all my heart, and to build a future together filled with joy and compassion. You are my soulmate, and I am grateful for every moment we share.
The officiant turned to Soobin and Y/n, their hands clasped together, and spoke with a voice that carried the tradition and commitment.
Officiant: Choi Soobin and Moon Y/n, you have come here today to declare your love and commitment to one another. As part of this solemn occasion, I ask you both to affirm your vows.
Jungkook leaned in closer to my ear, as he wishpered lightly.
Jungkook: It's so nostalgic, it almost reminds me of our own wedding.
I hummed in response.
Officiant: Choi Soobin, do you take Moon Y/n to be your lawfully wedded wife? Will you love her, honor her, and cherish her, in sickness and in health, for richer or poorer, for as long as you both shall live?
Soobin looked at Y/n with affection, his eyes were filled with a deep sincerity. He took a deep breath and replied with a clear voice.
Soobin: I do.
The officiant then turned to Y/n, who was gazing at Soobin with love and affection.
Officiant: And Moon Y/n, do you take Choi Soobin to be your lawfully wedded husband? Will you love him, honor him, and cherish him, in sickness and in health, for richer or poorer, for as long as you both shall live?
Y/n's eyes were misty with emotion as she looked at Soobin, her voice trembling slightly but strong.
Y/n: I do.
The officiant continued with the exchange of rings, the couple slid the rings onto each other's fingers.
Officiant: By the power vested in me, I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride.
They shared a tender kiss, their joy was visible in their beaming smiles. The guests erupted into applause, their cheers and well-wishes filling the room with a sense of celebration and happiness.
As the ceremony concluded, Jungkook and I stood side by side, our hands intertwined.
Jungkook: Looking at these cute little moments, I want to get married again.
Aaira: I would love to do that, I wouldn't miss it for the world.
Jungkook: I know. And I'm grateful for every moment we've shared and for the future we're building together.
He kissed my neck lightly.
Jungkook: We've come this far together, through everything. It's moments like these that make me realize just how much we've grown and how much we've overcome.
I squeezed his hand, a smile spreading across my face.
Aaira: Yes, it's been a journey. But seeing the happiness around us, it makes everything worthwhile.
As Y/n and Soobin shared their first dance as a married couple, Jungkook and I joined the celebration, our hearts light and our spirits high. As the music played and the guests celebrated, I couldn't help but reflect on how far we had all come. The journey had been long and filled with challenges, but moments like these made it clear that despite everything, happiness and love had found their way into our lives.
***
As the ceremony continued, Jungkook handed Elin and Aimin over to Scarlet and Taehyung, trusting them to look after the children while he led me away. He helped me into one of the ornate carriages, the cool touch of the cloth as he covered my eyes heightening my curiosity.
He carefully bound the cloth around my head, ensuring that I couldn't peek. Though I could hear the distant murmur of the celebrations and feel the gentle sway of the carriage as it began to move, my vision remained cloaked in darkness.
His hand enveloped mine with a tight grip, providing peace in the middle of my curiosity. The rhythmic clatter of the carriage wheels against the cobblestones served as a steady backdrop to the whispers of excitement that bubbled within me.
Eventually, the carriage came to a stop, and Jungkook's arms enveloped me as he lifted me effortlessly, the warmth of his embrace made me feel safe and cherished. I could sense the shift in the air as we exited the carriage. As we reached our destination, he gently set me down and began to remove the cloth from my eyes.
When the final folds were lifted, I was greeted with a breathtaking sight. We were in a secluded palace, his hall, bathed in the lanterns hanging from the corners and the gentle light of the moon reflecting off a serene pond.
Jungkook stood beside me, the beauty of the scene before me was overwhelming, I was speechless to the effort he had put into creating this special moment for us. The garden seemed like a private paradise, a haven away from the hustle and bustle of the world outside.
He took my hand once more, guiding me toward a beautifully set table adorned with candles and delicate flowers. The look in his smile and the love in his eyes made the night feel magical. As he guided me gently towards the table and helped me settle into a chair.
As I looked up at him, he took a deep breath and began to speak, he pulled out a Chair for me and said.
Jungkook: This is the place where I realized I was truly in love with you.
His voice was soft, his gaze never leaving mine. He clapped his hands once, and suddenly, the atmosphere around us began to shift.
One by one, curtains started to fall around us, each one revealing a scene painted with moments from our shared life. The first curtain fell to reveal a beautiful depiction of our wedding day. The painting showed us standing side by side at the altar, our eyes locked in a gaze full of love and promise.
As the next curtain descended, it was a moment from when Aimin was born. The painting showed me holding our newborn son in my arms, the look of pure adoration on my face. Jungkook stood beside me, his expression were awe and pride as he gently touched our baby's tiny hand.
The following curtain revealed a similar scene but with Elin. I was holding her, wrapped in a soft blanket, while Jungkook stood beside us, his eyes filled with a deep, unspoken love, and Aimin with a pout. The colors and details in the painting captured the essence of those first precious moments with our son and our daughter.
Each curtain that fell painted a different chapter of our life together. There was the moment of our first home, filled with laughter and warmth; the time we celebrated our anniversaries, each scene echoing the deepening of our love; and the quieter moments, like shared breakfasts and evenings spent together, reflecting the everyday joys of our life.
As the paintings continue to fell, revealing the most recent scene, I was overwhelmed by the depth of our shared history and the love that had grown and evolved over time. Jungkook looked at me hope and desire, his eyes reflecting the love and commitment he felt. With a big smile, he took my hand in his, his touch as familiar and comforting as ever.
Jungkook: These moments.
He said softly.
Jungkook: Are just a few of the reasons why I love you so much. Our journey together has been filled with so many beautiful memories, and I look forward to creating many more with you.
I gazed at the scenes surrounding us, feeling a different kind of gratitude and love. This night, this display of our life together, was a testament to the life we've spent together. Jungkook took my hand gently and guided me to the center of the space surrounded by the curtains.
Jungkook: I've been preparing these for you, for last three years, my love.
Tears that left my eyes were inexpressible, i felt so proud of having him as my husband, I hold his hand tightly, as some tears sprinkled down my eyes.
Aaira: I can't be thankful enough.
The soft glow of the candles and the warm light of the paintings created a serene, almost magical atmosphere. My eyes glistened with tears as I took in the emotional journey that unfolded around us. The curtains revealed more of our life together, one painting showed a moment before our marriage.
It depicted me standing alone on the balcony of my home, holding the railing tightly, looking into the sofa room. The scene was captured just as Jungkook had arrived, and he was sitting in the sofa, his presence unseen in the background but conveyed through the moment when our eyes met for the first time in a while, he was giving that small smile to me, and I was looking at him angrily.
The next, was our first night together as a married couple. It showed me sitting on the edge of our bed, with nervousness and tears in my eyes. Jungkook was beside me, holding my hand tightly. The painting captured the intimacy of that night, the beginning of our life together as husband and wife.
As the paintings continue to reveal, the room was filled with the soft strains of a violin, playing somewhere in the background. Jungkook gently pulled me into his arms, and we began to dance together. The music created a delicate and enchanting backdrop to our movements, enhancing the romantic atmosphere.
The next curtain fell, unveiling a scene from a quieter, more recent moment. It showed us at home, sitting together on the couch with our children nestled beside us, sharing a moment of calm and contentment.
Jungkook: I wanted to show you all of this because you are the reason that I smiled despite being at my worst, and our life together has been more beautiful than I could have ever imagined.
Tears streamed down my cheeks as I looked at the scenes around us. Jungkook gently wiped away my tears, his touch as comforting as ever. The soft strains of the violin drifted through the room, his arms encircled me, and we began to sway gently, guided by the music's tender embrace.
We moved together, our steps were in perfect harmony with the music. The violin's notes rose and fell, each crescendo lifting us higher into a world of pure emotion. As we glided across the floor, the paintings around us seemed to glow with a warm light.
It was the same as our first dance as a married couple. I could feel the gentle pressure of Jungkook's hands on my back, guiding me. As we twirled, the room seemed to expand, our dance space stretching to encompass the entire area surrounded by the curtains.
The images on the fabric came alive with the soft illumination of the candles, the violin's rhythm heightened, and as we moved, they seemed to shift and shimmer. In one corner of the room, the painting of our wedding day depicted us walking down the aisle. We passed beneath it, hands in hand, as he swirled me, making me fall backward in his embrace.
His one hand rested lightly on my waist, Another was holding my hand tightly, it was some rare moments but I was enjoying it. The curtains around us parted, revealing a beautiful, open-air balcony bathed in the soft glow of moonlight. The starry night sky above was a breathtaking, and the gentle breeze carried the faint scent of blooming flowers. We were the only ones on this balcony, and the feeling of intimacy was palpable between us, it was almost magical.
Our movements became slower as we reached the balcony. Jungkook's hand lightly rested on my waist, his other hand still holding mine tightly. We twirled and swayed, like an invisible thread pulled us together. The night air was cool against my skin, and I could feel the soft rustling of my dress as we danced.
As we clapped our hands in the air, the soft echoes of applause seemed to mingle with the violin's music, creating a harmonious blend of sound. We glanced at each other, our eyes locked in a gaze. The stars above seemed to twinkle in response, adding magic to the moment.
As he pulled me closer again, our lips brushed in a gentle, fleeting kiss, but we parted, Jungkook's hand remained lightly resting on my waist, his other hand tightly clasping mine. With a shared smile, we resumed our dance.
── ᯓᡣ𐭩 ──The balcony was an oasis of serenity, and the world beyond it was a distant memory. ── ᯓᡣ𐭩 ──
The stars above and the soft music created an ethereal atmosphere, and as we danced, it felt as though we were floating on air. His gaze remained steady and loving.
As the final notes of the violin's melody played softly, we held each other close, cherishing some last moments of the dance. The night sky above us was a canvas of stars, and the gentle breeze seemed to carry the promise of many more beautiful moments to come.
In each other's arms, surrounded by the beauty of the night, we stood still, our hearts beating in unison. Beneath the star-studded sky, his gaze softened, and he leaned in closer. As he connected our lips in a deep, passionate kiss.
Jungkook: I love you so much.
He whispered against my lips.
Jungkook: Beyond the stars and the universe.
My heart swelled with his words, and I smiled, my eyes fluttering open to meet his gaze.
Aaira: I love you too.
I replied softly.
Aaira: Beyond the stars and the universe.
As those words hung in the air, we remained locked in our kiss. The kiss was a melding of our souls, an eternal moment where time stood still. The night stretched on, the stars twinkling above as if in approval of our eternal vow. Jungkook pulled me closer, his eyes never leaving mine as the world around us seemed to blur into insignificance.
Jungkook: From the moment we met, I knew my life would never be the same. You've been my anchor in every storm, my light in the darkest hours, a shoulder at my worst. I vow to cherish you, to protect you, and to stand by you no matter what the future holds, I've been extremely foolish to not see your love, and I still accept that I genuinely regret my past decision. Yet, our love has weathered every trial, and I promise to be here for you, through every moment and every breath I consume.
Tears left my eyes.
Jungkook: I promise to love you beyond the stars and the universe, to make every day with you as magical as the night we first danced. No matter where life takes us, I'll be your constant, your unconditional support, your safe haven. I'll be here, always, with you.
I gazed up at him, my heart swelling with his words.
Jungkook: My heart is yours, bound to yours, forever intertwined. Through every heartbeat and every breath, I will be with you. Through every moment of my sufferings, no matter what the situation has, I found myself Still With You.
A tear glistened down my eye as I replied, my voice barely above a whisper but resolute.
Aaira: Still with you & forever with you.
I replied softly.
Aaira: No matter what comes our way, through every joy and sorrow, I am yours, now and always.
He completed it for me.
Jungkook: Forever with you.
We held each other close, as he connected our lips again, as we stayed like that, for some beautiful fleeting moments, our lips never parting, our breaths mingling in the cool night air. The kiss was a promise, a declaration of a love so profound it felt as if it could stretch across the galaxies. In that perfect, timeless embrace, we stayed forever, our hearts beating in sync with the rhythm of the universe.

"In this journey, we lost so many things-pieces of ourselves, fragments of our dreams, and even each other.
We were scattered across a vast expanse of pain and misunderstanding, drifting through a labyrinth where the echoes of our past haunted us. I watched as our memories dissolved into the shadows, unable to grasp the warmth that once bound us.
Each night, I wished for you to find me, like a prince rescuing his princess from evils. I wished for you to be my hero, even as the pages of my life turned against me.
Each night, I cast my wishes into the dark, praying you'd come and turn my story around. I longed for you and your presence, your scent never left me even in your absence, I guess I was just forgetting the cruel truth, with false hopes trying to heal my pain.
When the truth was bitter and dark, I was trapped in a cruel novel written by the merciless author, not a princess from one of a fairytale. By the time I realized, It was all a brutal reality, i was already too late, I came to know you were living with someone else, just like me.
Each step apart only deepened the chasm between us, and every fleeting moment of hope seemed to mock us with its fragility. Yet, in the middle of the wreckage, there was a flicker of something resilient, a thread of connection that refused to sever.
There were moments when you actually left me, abandoned me to live my life alone, as if I didn't matter to you at all. Your absence felt like a void that swallowed my hopes and dreams, leaving me to fend for myself in the darkness.
My heart ached, not just from the loneliness but from the sight of you enduring your own suffering, a pain that seemed to mirror my own. Even though you were distant, I felt your struggles as if they were my own, and this empathy only deepened my sense of loss.
The separation was not merely physical; it was an emotional chasm that stretched wide and deep. The pain you inflicted was unlike any other; it was a wound that cut straight to the core, bleeding into the very fabric of my being.
It took time-so much time-to begin to heal, to piece together the fragments of my heart and soul that had been shattered. There were nights when the weight of our separation felt unbearable, and I wandered through a world of despair, each step a reminder of what we had lost.
Yet, through the agony and the heartache, there was a glimmer of hope that refused to die. Slowly, we began to rebuild what was broken, each moment of reconnection a testament to our enduring bond.
Even when it felt like we were miles away from the people we used to be, and even further from the love we had once shared, a part of me always reached out for you.
And now, as I stand before you, I am reminded that this journey has not been in vain. Through the endless struggle and the heartache, we have found our way back to each other.
With a heart scarred yet whole, I embrace the beautiful, painful truth of our reunion. We have come full circle, back to a place where we can heal and rebuild together.
The journey back to each other was not a simple path but a complex weave of pain and healing. As we found our way back, I realized that the scars we carried were not just remnants of past wounds but symbols of our resilience.
The process of mending was slow and arduous, but with every shared breath and touch, we stitched together the torn pieces of our hearts.
In the end, though the scars remain as reminders of what we endured, they also signify our strength and our capacity to love again.
In Another's skin, we learned the true meaning of forgiveness and love, understanding that even the deepest wounds can be healed when faced with unwavering commitment and shared hope.
In this final chapter, where everything seems to align once more, I find myself not merely beside you but truly with you. In the end, I realize that this journey has not been about escaping our past but understanding it.
And as I stand here, I see that it is not just about being with you; it is about being with you in a way that is true and profound.
In Another's skin, I have learned to love you more deeply, with a wisdom that only comes from traversing through the darkest of nights and emerging into the light of our shared dawn.
And so, as we stand together once more, with a future ahead of gleams with promise, I am reminded that our love has endured everything-indeed, we have always been In Another's Skin."

Final Message to My Readers: This book is a work of fiction, born entirely from my imagination. The characters and events depicted are not intended to represent real people or events. If any character engages in morally or ethically questionable behavior, it is not meant to be romanticized or condoned in any way.
The narrative focuses more on the traumatic events than the romanticism, delving into complex and darker themes. Reader discretion is advised. If you find any content troubling or problematic, I'm sorry about this, but this story was a mature theme.
If you didn't like the ending, I totally appreciate your feedback with all my heart. This book was always meant to challenge conventional narratives by not justifying the "Evil couple" or any kind of toxic behaviour.
From the outset, my intention was to create a story that delved into the complexities and darker aspects of human nature, emphasizing the consequences of morally questionable actions rather than glorifying them.
I also aimed to make the story more real, reflecting how life actually works, where not everything wraps up neatly, and not every character gets redemption or a happy ending. Yet, I tried to give a happy ending we all were waiting for.
I understand that some of you may have hoped for a different conclusion, one that perhaps offered a more traditional resolution.
However, the ending you may have expected was a far cry from the themes I wanted to explore. I'm sorry if this decision has disappointed you, but I hope you can understand and respect the creative choices I made in telling this story. Thank you for your support and for engaging with my work.
I want to express how much I appreciate each comment and like you've given throughout this journey. Your support and engagement have meant the world to me. Maybe, this ending was not at all what you might have expected, and I know things are again complicated.
However, I encourage you to continue the journey by reading "Smile- A terrible night." which is essentially another work of the author. This next installment promises to delve even deeper into the characters and their stories, offering new perspectives and developments.
Thank you again for your understanding and for being part of this incredible experience. The photos used within this book are the property of their respective owners, and I make no claim to them.
