Chapter 4
It was already Friday and, you were anxiously staring at the clock waiting for your shift to be over so you could freshen up before meeting with Akaza. You were rocking side to side nervous for some odd reason even though he was just a friend. There was nothing to be nervous about but, at the same time, it was everything to be nervous about. He said he would get you by 3:15 and you get off at 3. You glanced at the clock and you had 10 minutes left. That was fine, as soon as the three customers in the store were done you were going to clock out. No overtime for you today. Once the three customers finished shopping you closed the register and went straight to punch out before going to the bathroom to freshen up. You didn't smell but, you fixed your hair, applied some gloss to your lips, and perfume, and put on more deodorant. Your phone dinged and it was 3:01 with a text from Akaza.
"I'm outside princess." That nickname through you for a loop and an image of what looked like an old-fashioned inn flashed through your mind before disappearing. You blinked rubbing at your eyes.
"I'm coming!" You were too excited about being with Akaza to be worried about such a random thing to be happening to you like that. It was the first time it ever happened to you so, you weren't going to let it fester and ruin your time with Akaza. How many people can say their friends with an idol and watch them perform? Not anyone you know. Once outside you saw Akaza standing outside leaning against a blue Ford Mustang. For some odd reason, it suited him a lot and you liked it. You walked up to him waving to him even though he was watching you the moment you stepped out of your workplace.
"How was your day princess?" You hugged him and he lingered for a bit which didn't bother you before pulling away. He jumped around your side and opened the door for you, buckled you in, and closed the door for you. You were surprised that he did that without even blinking an eye as you watched him hop into the driver's side and pull off not a minute later. You must have been staring because he glanced over at you "You still didn't tell me about your day." That brought you out of your stupor as you forgot about his chivalry and talked about the different kinds of customers. You asked him similar questions and made conversation and in about half an hour you were at his studio and, you were intimidated.
"Oh wow, this place looks expensive." You were too busy ogling to notice he had opened your door, unbuckled you, and picked up your bag for you. He helped you out of the car, closing the door behind you and locking his car. You went to grab your bag back but, he moved it away from your hands.
"It's fine. I want to hold it for you." You blinked but, didn't try again. It was rare for a guy to be this kind naturally so, you weren't going to stop him if he truly wasn't bothered by everything. He guided you inside where he nodded at security and you gave a shy wave to keep from being impolite. He ushered you to an elevator much too small but, you weren't going to complain about the proximity. He smelled delicious anyway as you sniffed him subconsciously.
"You smell really good." He grinned at you leaning more into your space so you can smell him more. Once again you weren't about to complain because you really did enjoy the way he smelled.
"Thank you." The elevator stopped and, opened as you exited first with him right behind you. "This way." He had a hand on your upper back guiding you down hallways until you got to a set of black and silver double doors that he opened up from behind you and you were in awe. It was really pretty. Beautiful. You loved the atmosphere and you looked around to see all kinds of instruments, expensive ones all around on stands and really clean. It was pristine in here.
"A lot bigger than my brother's at-home studio. Well, to be fair this is a professional one so of course, it would be much bigger and better." You were just talking and turned to him when he made a noise
"Your brother has his own studio?" You nodded your head happily pulling out your phone so you could show him pictures. You showed him the drum set, electric guitar, keyboard, and the other stuff that he had set up.
"He really loves music and him, my other brothers, and dad enjoy going there just to have fun, sing, scream whatever their hearts desire. It's good therapy for them as well." You showed him a few more pictures before he decided to have you sit on an ottoman he set up by his drums.
"Now that I have an idea of what kind of music your family likes which in turn you like, I feel more confident." He got right on the drums and with no hesitation or warning, turned on music or instrumental you're not sure, and went crazy on the drums. You jumped not expecting the sounds to echo the way you did, soon you found yourself bopping and slightly dancing to the beats in the background and him playing the drums. He was so into it! You loved seeing people love what they do and get into it. It's a beautiful thing. You were so focused on him that you didn't hear his bandmates come in
"It seems Akaza has company." Doma made a comment as they all watched Akaza with the biggest smile they've ever seen play the drums his eyes going back and forth to your face and his drums. Meanwhile, you were smiling and encouraging him. It was a pretty sight.
"Who is she? She's pretty, but, not that pretty. I am the prettiest." Even her brother ignored her not in the mood for her to be the center of attention. It seemed they all knew but Daki how much Akaza did not like her but, tolerated her for the sake of performing and Gyutaro.
"Be quiet Daki and let them have their moment." Muzan is the one who said it because they all knew she had an infatuation with him even though he finds her the most annoying out of everyone. She's a talented pianist unfortunately and he likes Gyutaro a lot. It was a few minutes before Akaza finished and you screamed jumping up and down excitedly going to him to hug him close. He laughed and hugged you back.
"You're amazing Akaza! I mean, I already knew that. You wouldn't be a part of a band if you didn't know what you were doing and had such talent but, it sounds so raw and pure when I can hear it singularly instead of together with your other band-mates. Speaking of them they seem really sweet. Daki is pretty I love all the glitter and makeup she uses, it brings out her features." Unbeknownst to you, Daki shrunk just a little under guilt before deciding to clear her throat scaring the bejeezus out of you.
"Hi. It's nice to finally meet the girl Akaza never shuts up about." You wanted to melt into the floor from the unexpected attention but, you didn't want to embarrass Akaza at the same time.
"It's nice to meet you guys too! My name is Y/N L/N, I really love how well coordinated you guys are. All of you are very talented." You prayed they didn't think you were trying to sucker up to them because you weren't. You genuinely thought they were talented and deserved all the praise.
"Well, hello there darling." You were surprised to see the guitarist Doma strolling up to you, he was rather tall even without his platform boots and kissed your hand. It wasn't expected but, it was welcomed unaware of how pissed Akaza got. "You look very lovely, red is my favorite color." You were flustered and before anything else can happen Akaza yelled at Doma and you watched as the entire crew interacted with each other not minding that you were there. As they talked and what not you decided to stand back and watch them set up while talking. You texted your friends and family to let them know you were alright.
"How long can you stay?" You looked up noticing their boss Mr.Kibutsuji was a very good-looking man that demanded attention when he entered a room. He seemed alright.
"Maybe for another hour or so since I came out of work. Is that okay?" The man looked at you for a minute before giving you a kind smile which you returned.
"That is no issue, that's how long they'll practice and Akaza can take you back to wherever you want to be taken." He turned around before turning back to you with a hand out "How rude of me, my name is Muzan Kibutsuji. It's a pleasure to meet you." The two of you shook hands before he disappeared somewhere and you stood off to the side to watch them practice and listen. You felt special getting to see them in a studio practice. You got to see a raw side of them. A more truthful side and this was something you wanted to treasure for yourself as you put the phone to the side for now.
