Tengen was more nervous than he has ever felt in his life. On the outside, he was exuding confidence to anyone and everyone who looked his way. Most people always thought he was so sure of himself, especially with how he carries himself but, that is not the case. He has to make sure he doesn't do too much because even though this is the same Y/N, she is not the same at all. This is a modern world Y/N. No demons, no powers, no breathing, no swordsmen. She wasn't their wife anymore, she wasn't given her memories from the past life. He had to be extremely careful. 

"Tengen!" He turned around and was greeted by you bounding up to him and stopping short of him with a big smile. He loved your smile so much. You were wearing light green shorts with a baby blue top and white sneakers to match your white bag. "Hi, how are you?" He couldn't help himself and pulled you in for a big hug. It made him happy hearing you squeal and return the hug back. 

"I'm doing fine, you look really pretty, how are you?" The two of you spoke a while about everything and anything under the sun. It was nice and he had a sense of deja vu come over him. He couldn't look at you directly for a few minutes because all he would be able to see is his precious wife and he didn't want to do something that will scare current you away.

"Is there a reason you're not looking at me big guy?" He turned back to you at the teasing tone of your voice. Wow, he really needs to stop worrying about the past you because the current you is a totally different person. 

"No reason at all, I just got lost in my head. You know that happens to everyone sometimes." The flow of conversation continued smoothly after that and the two of you went to buy some food from the vending machines. 

"If there is one thing I love about Japan is how there are vending machines with all kinds of food all over the place. I appreciate that even the poorest people can eat. Besides, the food is good." You bought some hot udon soup with a can of strawberry bread. An odd choice but, it's what your stomach wanted and you were going to give it what it wanted. Tengen had gotten a ramen soup with orange soda. Not much food for someone of his stature but, you weren't here to judge. 

"I have to agree with you on that one. The food is good and affordable." He glanced at your food before looking back at his. "Next time I will get the udon instead, it looks more filling." The two of you found a bench to sit and eat at. The park wasn't too crowded so you guys found a table to yourselves. You couldn't help but notice how people would glance or even blatantly stare at him. It reminded you a little bit of how people would stare at your family for being eccentric. They called it eccentric you called it unique. 

"How old are you? and when's your birthday? We have talked about so much and yet these two questions haven't popped up." That was true 

"I am 21 and my birthday is BM/BD. How about you?" He swallowed his soda first before answering. 

"I'm 23 and my birthday is October 31st" You gave him an excited look.

"Your birthday lands on Halloween that's so cool! Do you do anything special? Would you have both Halloween and birthday decorations? Would it be bright or match the spooky scary theme?" You stopped feeling a little embarrassed when he just looked at you while chuckling 

"You're adorable when you get excited. My girlfriends usually are in charge of decorating, it's something they all like to do." That piqued your interest and it must have shown on your face. "I'm polyamorous and I have 3 girlfriends." He was looking at you as if gauging your reaction. 

"That means you must be amazing at communicating. One of my brothers is polyamorous and he has one girlfriend, one boyfriend, and one they/them. They all get along so well and he is the best communicator I know. Well, now I know two because there is just no way you suck. You have to be really good at communicating." He smiled sheepishly looking off to the side. 

"I was not the best at first but, soon I actually learned all of their love languages and listened to them as well as them listening to me. We all love each other very much even if a lot of people do not agree with our relationship." You understood that all too well since your brother was open about his sexuality and people, especially bible thumpers, always have something negative to say instead of just minding their business.

"I understand, my brother got a lot of backlashes as if we weren't the black sheep of the area already. I don't care though. Everyone in my family is so unbelievably happy and that's all that matters to me. Anyone who doesn't like the differences in my family then they don't need to be in my life." It was quiet for a bit until you felt a hand land on top of your head. You looked up to see Tengen looking at you between the fringes of his hair. He must be albino noticing how his eyebrows and lashes matched his hair. 

"Hopefully, I can be someone that stays." You gave him a small smile. 

"I sure hope you can. I would love to meet your girlfriends as well if they want to." You closed your eyes when you smiled big missing the slight hopeful glint in his eyes. 

"They would love to meet you."

You and Tengen had set up a date to meet up again but, this time he is going to bring his girlfriends, and the five of you can go and get some food at a diner or something. It sounded nice and it was something that you were looking forward to doing. You had work again today though and, it was a Sunday. You don't always work Sundays but, they were short-staffed and offered you time and a half so you weren't about to decline. It was a slow day and no new stock was coming in, you had done inventory already on Friday so it was not only a slow day but, an easy one.

"I have never been to this store before." You looked up and saw a man, a young man and what seemed to be a young teenager. All three looked the same and the two younger ones were clearly the son of the man if the hair and eyes weren't a dead giveaway. 

"It's always nice to see new faces! How are you guys?" The middle one finally turned around and you recognized this was a guy who was with Tengen at the concert. "Kyo?" He blinked moving up a bit before smiling ear to ear. 

"Y/N! HOW ARE YOU? I DIDN'T THINK I WOULD SEE YOU HERE TODAY?!" On an impulse, you covered his mouth putting a finger to your lips to indicate for him to lower his volume. He turned red but, when you removed your hand he did as instructed. "I knew you worked at a store like this but, I didn't think I would actually see you." He gave you big golden retriever energy and it was so cute. You looked up to see the dad and younger brother had disappeared further into the store leaving the two of you alone to talk for a bit. They were the only ones in the store anyway. 

"I usually don't work the weekends but, they were short-staffed and they offered to pay me time and a half. More money in my pocket. You're with your brother and father I'm going to assume? You look just like the man, the two of you." He nodded enthusiastically.

"Yes, we are here looking for stuff for Senjuro, my brother, when we saw this store and it caught my eye. I'm glad I listened to my gut and eye-sight. I wouldn't have gotten to see you. You look really pretty too. I love your style." The two of you chatted it up for a little while until his brother and dad came back to pay for some things. You waved at both of them and the father nodded while Senjuro shyly waved back with a small smile. He was so cute.

"All of you enjoy the rest of your day. I'll talk to you later Kyo!" He waved back at you with a red face before disappearing ahead of his father and brother who seemed to be gaining speed on him. More than likely going to tease him about his enthusiasm. That's what family does anyway. The rest of the day went by smoothly with minimum customers and you closed by 6 pm so you can be home in time to eat dinner.

You were in a bit of a dilemma because Akaza, Tengen, and Kyo all wanted to hang out with you but, you needed to decide who is worth it more. Akaza definitely had the least amount of free time amongst all of them however, he is also the one you hung out more with than anybody. Tengen wanted you to hang out and meet his girlfriends and you were very excited about that because it was rare for all of them to have off at the same time to go out. Kyo is off weekends like you and, you haven't hung out with him fully. You decided to text Kyo about hanging out on the weekend.

"Kyo I hope you don't mind if we can hang out on Sunday? If you're not busy with lesson plans" You waited for him to answer back which he did a few minutes later. 

"I usually do my lesson plans on Friday so I am free to hang out. Anything you would like to do in particular?" This was perfect 

"We don't have to do much, we can sight-see and find somewhere to eat. I don't mind being a little spontaneous :)" 

You were so happy to have figured that out and, now you looked at Tengen and Akaza. Tengen and his wives had two days off and that was Saturday and Friday. Friday was for you and Akaza since he was free once you got off of work at 3 pm. You don't mind taking time on the weekend to hang out with Tengen and then Kyo. 

"Hey Tengen, I have something to do on Friday, do you and your girlfriends mind meeting up on Saturday? I understand if that is not possible." You do not know why you just didn't tell him you're hanging out with Akaza. You wanted to keep your interactions with Akaza private if you were being honest for both of your guy's safety.

"That's not a problem with me. As long as we can still meet up, I have no qualms about it." That was surprisingly easy to come to terms with and he didn't cry about it. Maybe Tengen can be a good friend right along with his women. Now that you had your weekend booked that meant that you can hang out with Akaza. You hated doing people dirty and not warning them beforehand of a change of plans. You were on both sides when it came to this so you understood. You decided to text Akaza the good news

"I'm so excited to see you on Friday! Anything you want to do?" You were thinking up of stuff you guys can possibly do when he texted you back. 

"If you don't mind, maybe you can come over to the studio and listen to me...play? Of course, you don't have to, we can totally do something else." You had short-circuited reading that message. Never in a million years would you have thought you would be allowed in a music studio with a semi-famous band. 

"My brain just short-circuited but, I would still love to kindly accept your offer. Hopefully, your boss won't mind a stranger being there." That was another thing you were worried about. It was a big step meeting the other band members individually in a small setting. 

"Don't worry, we all got out separate spaces so once you get past the scary part of meeting them, I can take you to where I individually practice and it can just be the two of us. I will order us food too. Does that sound nice? Or am I doing too much?" He was such an endearing man. You knew he drank his respect women's juice the moment you met him and watched a couple of his interviews online. 

"That sounds perfect. I can't wait to see you Akaza. I'm so glad you took a chance with me. I won't make you regret it." Unbeknownst to you, Akaza was flying over the moon and couldn't believe how insanely lucky he was to have such a chance at being with the beauty his past self wanted but, couldn't have.

"I would never regret you."
