The Elina Pack

(Y/N)'s P.O.V.

"I am (Y/N)," I told the impish creature, "Alpha of the Elina pack."

"Elina?" the strange creature questioned.

"Yes, Elina."

The pack was named Elina because the name itself meant 'light'.

"Just give us that tear and we'll be on our way," the creature spoke.

My golden eyes glinted in the shimmering sun light, "I'm afraid I can't do that...Midna."

She gave me a shocked expression. "How do you know my name?"

I walked circles around the two, "You're quite infamous, I'll tell you that." I stopped circling them and took a sitting stance. "And don't expect me to be giving this tear anytime soon."

"Why not?" said the irritant Midna. "We have a much better use for that tear than to use it as some piece of jewelry."

"I'm sure you do, oh minute one. That's what everyone's been telling me ever since this twilight's come," I said calmly.

"Just give it to us and we'll be on our way," Midna said another time.

"Perhaps if you give me a good enough reason and tell me as to why you need it, then I'll consider. But, I want to hear what your wolf has to say."

I averted my gaze to the strange looking wolf with blue eyes. His coat and just his features in general made him seem a bit unnatural. I waited for him to speak but all I got was utter silence.

I cocked my head in confusion, "Well?"

"That's the thing, pristine wolf," Midna said as she removed herself from the wolf, "This wolf was actually a human when the twilight transformed him into a wolf. He's not used to all this."

I locked gazes with this fellow wolf and realized that all kinds of emotions could be seen in his eyes. He was scared, confused, maybe a little terrified even. The previous pack leaders, my parents, had always said to put others before myself because something better would come in return.

"So I see," I said as I lowered my neck and craned my head allowing the chain to become visible. "I guess I can't be selfish, can't I?"

My wolf senses could feel the shock of Midna's face as I voluntarily gave up the tear. She carefully took it from me and placed it on some vessel. The vessel began to light up.

"Thank you," Midna said with a genuine smile as I turned to head back to the woods with my tail swishing back and forth. I heard the other wolf howl and I returned the howl.

"Guess I'll have to find another way of retrieving the tears."

I slowly turned my head back and decided to follow the two myself. I had to make myself light on my feet of course. That wolf would probably be able to sense me from a mile away. I lifted my head and howled a soft rhythm into the air. A mark at the crook of my neck the shape of (f/c) crescent moon started to glow. Within seconds, I became a wolf spirit.

I'm guessing I should've told those two that I needed that tear as a source of my power but I just met them and I wasn't about to tell them everything about me.

The Elina pack is a group of mystic wolves each with their own magical abilities. The pack has managed to stay hidden for quite some time and luckily, most don't know what the Elina pack is when it is mentioned.

I flowed through the air and hid by a tree as I watched the tears of light from the vessel form into something else. It took the form of a large monkey and I watched as the wolf I met in the forest became a human.

This human had blonde hair and still had the same blue eyes. He wore strange attire...an all-green tunic and green cap. This was probably what his wolf's coat was based off of. I must say that those colors were somewhat bright for my wolf eyes. Midna and this boy left the spring.

I was about to leave myself when I heard something call me.

"Come here...oh generous youth."

I took my normal wolf form and approached the spirit of light. I walked through the crisp spring and lowered my head.

"No need to bow, young (Y/N)," said the spirit.

"You know my name?" I asked as I lifted my head to lock gazes with the god-like creature.

"I know everyone and everything that lives in this forest," said the spirit, "I am Faron, and if my senses are correct, it was you who gave the two the last tear."

I simply nodded.

"I know that the light is the main source of power of the Elina wolf pack, but I know that's not the only other reason you need that tear, oh dear youth."

I was about to speak when the spirit spoke for me. "I know that you need it to help save your parents from the darkness that now consumes them. They are being controlled by the even stronger forces of Twilight, correct am I not?"

I simply nodded as my wolf ears dropped down. My parents were the leaders of the pack until recently when they were taken away by the dark forces, leaving me to take charge of the pack.

"Fear not, young one," Faron said as he lowered himself with his tail now hovering over me, "Without your help, I would've still remained a broken spirit. I have rewarded the other wolf by giving him the ability to transform back and forth from human to wolf so now it is your turn. Allow me to give you some of my power to assist you on your journey. And I'm sure, my brethren, if you happen to meet them along the way, will help you as well."

My insides were jumping outside of me because of this happiness. My parents words of wisdom were right all along.

"Thank you so much," was all I managed to say.

I felt power surge through me as a new chain formed around my neck with a tear of light locked tightly in a clear glass at the center.

With the support of the spirits of light behind me, I knew that it was now the time to try and save my parents from the darkness. I neared the rear of the spring when I heard Faron say a couple last words.

"That boy earlier, I'm sure he'll be of great assistance to you. Just say the word, and I'm sure he'll help you. That boy is more than he seems."

I took into consideration Faron's advice, but then pushed it away. This was going to be my journey and unless I really needed it, I wasn't going to be asking humans for any help. They were the ones who ruined my family's life in the first place.
