Tell Me

Link's P.O.V.

I shook hands with this Alevina person. This girl had a mysterious aura to her.

"Follow me," the (h/c) haired girl said. She pulled up her cloak covering her main features and ascended up the stairs. I allowed for a small distance before I started to follow.

"Hey," Midna whispered as she nudged my shoulder. "You sure we can trust her? After all, you did just see her outside."

I whispered back to the complaining imp, "She's all we've got, Midna. And besides, she looks trustworthy."

"I don't know," Midna said as she rolled back. She smiled her famous smile revealing one of her tiny fangs. "You can't just trust any girl because they're cute, Link."

"Wh-what?" I said as my face flushed. "I am not that kind of person, Midna. I'm offended that you would think that way."

It was true. I'm not the kind of person who would get close to a girl just because they're cute. That just isn't right. I do admit, Alevina was far better looking that most girls I've met, but that's it. It's normal for a guy to think a girl is good looking right?

"Whatever you say," Midna said as she rolled her eyes and floated along.

I followed Alevina into the main plaza of Castle Town until we reached the same weapon shop I was at earlier.

"Wait here," she spoke and she entered into the shop.

(Y/N)'s P.O.V.

I entered the shop and the man greeted me with a 'hello'. From under my hood, I could see that it was the same man I knew from when I was younger: a somewhat chubby man with a brown beard and large nose.

"Hello, Talon," I said as I pulled down my hood to reveal my face.
Talon's dark blue eyes widened as he couldn't believe what he was seeing right now. He blinked a couple times and rubbed his eyes again and again.

"(Y-Y/N)? Is that really you?" he said as he walked from behind his counter to approach me.

I nodded as his eyes started to fill with tears. Ever since I was a child, Talon had been like family to me, a second father. I slowly approached him and hugged him.

"I thought you were dead," he sobbed, "Where are your parents? Are they alright?"

I let go of him and he looked into my eyes easily reading them.

"I'm sorry. Is there anything I can do to help?"

"As of the moment, not right now. I'll explain more of it to you later, but I as of right now, I kind of need to use the back room."

He raised an eye brow. "Sure. I'll let you use it, but why?"

I shrugged. "I just need to help someone with weaponry and all that."

Talon took out some keys from his pockets and unlocked a large wooden door.

"Hasn't been touched in years, (Y/N). It's been that same way ever since you left."

I smiled and turned to get Link. But before turning the knob and said one more thing to Talon.

"If anyone asks, my name is Alevina, not (Y/N). Okay? And please don't mention my last name."

Talon nodded without arguing. He knew the circumstances I was under and he knew how dangerous it would be if I were caught and still alive.

I exited the shop to see that Link had been sitting by the plaza's fountain.

"Link!" I called out.

He flinched at the sudden sound and turned to look my way. I motioned for him to come into the shop. I waited by the door as he got up and made his way inside.

"This way, young man," Talon said as he motioned for Link to enter the wooden door he unlocked earlier.

I thanked Talon and entered the room. Inside, there was a molding area, a large un-lit fireplace, a rack of weapons, a large stone for sharpening blades, and a large cauldron. Many books lined the shelves. The cauldron and books were how I learned how to make magic infused weapons, but I wasn't going to do that today.

I took my cloak off and set it aside on a rack. I tied my (h/c) hair into a ponytail and showed Link towards a table. He sat down as I turned on the furnace and prepared some metals.

"May I see your sword?" I asked Link.

He sat quietly as if intimidated by the sight of a female blacksmith. He took the sword out of the sheath and placed it on the table. I took the sword and carefully examined it. My fingers glided across the blade.

I frowned. "The sword is a bit worn out and dull."

I walked over to an anvil and started using a hammer to smooth it out. I then went over to the large stone, sharpening its edges.

After a quick five minutes, I placed the sword on the table. Link grabbed the sword and looked at it in awe as its newly polished metal gleamed under the light.

"Thank you," he said as he quickly tucked the sword back in its sheath.

"That's the Master Sword, isn't it?" I asked as I headed over to a case of weapons.

"How did you know?" Link asked with surprise in his voice.

My gaze fell on a certain weapon as its jewel shone through its glass encasing, the dark magic swimming through just dying to get out. "My parents taught me everything about swords," I said as I turned back to face Link. I pulled a wooden stool and sat across from him.

"So what exactly did you want to know about weaponry?" I said as I folded my arms across the table.

"Well," Link scratched his face a bit, "I kind of already know about weaponry. But I was wondering if you knew anything about magic infused ones."

I rolled my eyes at him. "I told you already, over by the bar. Remember? I'm just a regular blacksmith. Not associated with magic or anything of the sort. Why would you think I knew that kind of stuff?"

Link scratched again nervously. "I don't know. I just assumed I guess. My senses are telling me there's something about you."

I raised an eye brow. "Your senses? That's a bit strange considering that we just met today. Hell, we've only known each other for about an hour, or even less than that."

"I know. I know," the blonde male said sheepishly. "It's just I feel that we've met before."

"Well," I said as I looked him in the eye, "If you feel that way, ask me anything," I said.

Link shifted in his seat and sat up. "Tell me, Alevina, do you believe in shape shifters?"

"Eh?" I said in shock. Could Link have possibly known this entire time? How was that even possible?"

"I know it sounds crazy, but please listen. I can transform into a wolf and back into a human. It sounds crazy, I know, but please believe me."

I let out a small sigh. So he didn't know after all. I looked at the table and back at him again, "I believe you, Link, but what does this have to do with anything?"

He opened his mouth to say something but was interrupted by something. He seemed to be listening intently to this thing. It was none other than Midna of course.

"I have to go," he said frantically, "Thanks for everything though. I'll be coming back. Will you be in the same location?"

"Always," I said calmly as he rushed out. What was that all about? But then I realized...

Crap. They'll notice that I'm not there. I have to hurry. I rushed out the store without telling Talon where I was going and took an alternate route to the outside. I changed in the shadows and ran back. Luckily for me, Epona was still napping and Midna and Link has just begun to cross the bridge.
