Alevina
(Y/N)'s P.O.V.
Using the power of the tear of my necklace, I quietly chanted in a mystic language. The (f/c) crescent moon on my neck shone brightly as I felt a great power surge through me.
"This is going hurt." I thought to myself since I haven't used this power in quite some time.
My paws turned in into (s/c) colored hands while my hind legs turned into human legs. My fur transformed itself into a (f/c) medium length casual dress. My (h/l) (h/c) formed on my head once again as my golden eyes reverted back to their original (e/c) color.
I was barefoot at the moment but used my magic to create a pair of matching shoes. I felt my face with my now human fingers and stroked my hair. I felt the crook of my neck and noticed the symbol of the crescent there, along with the tear of light necklace. Those were the two most important things that I needed to hide.
I created a large black cloak and wrapped it around my neck covering the crescent. I tucked in my necklace and fixed myself. I stretched my arms out and took my first step only to stumble a bit.
"Figures," I mumbled to myself, "It's not like I've been walking for the past couple of years."
I took a couple more steps until I got used to it. Once I was satisfied, I brought up my hood to cover my face, because, who knows, someone might recognize me after all this time.
I walked into Castle Town keeping my head low. As I walked, I saw the little children running around, the small cafe near the corner, and the fountain I used to run around when I was a bit younger. I smiled at the memory and continued to walk down the stony paths.
The sky was not as bright as it used to be. In the far distance, Hyrule Castle could seen clouded in the darkness. An evident wall of twilight blocking all those who attempted to go through.
I continued to walk until I reached a descending stairwell. It was a stairwell that lead to Telma's bar...and the location where my parents had their weapon shop.
I descended the stairwell and observed the large empty space that was left there. The shop was torn down without a second's notice as soon as the authorities "discovered" my family had disappeared. Whether we were dead or alive, they never figured out. But, as of now, we were all very much alive and well...in the form of wolves.
Flashback
"Hurry, (Y/N)!" My mother yelled as she grabbed my tiny wrist and ran through the Sacred Grove as my father lead the way.
My parents had assumed that if we ran through the Sacred Grove instead of through the Faron Woods, the authorities would think to look there instead of here first, but we were sadly mistaken.
We continued to run through the woods and met a dead stop as we were now at the edge of a waterfall.
"What are we going to do now?" my mother asked in a worried tone as she clutched onto me even tighter.
My father suddenly yelled into the air. "I'm here to finally accept that offer of yours!"
I had no idea who my father was talking to but then I heard the voice respond.
"So you've decided to finally put aside that dark magic of yours? That's great to hear--"
My father was growing impatient, but he still spoke respectfully, "Please, we can talk about this later. Just save us first."
Yes, the accusations against us were true. We did have dark magic. Was it really my choice though? Not really. My parents were previous sorcerers. They were powerful. But when I was born, they decided to stop their ways. They couldn't get rid of their powers but they did every thing they could to keep it hidden.
"As you wish," the mystic spirit spoke.
A light started to emerge from each of our bodies as I felt myself shrinking to the floor. My human features slowly being replaced by that of an animal.
The voice continued to speak again. "I'm sorry, but the only animal that can tame your magic is that of a wolf. And if you haven't noticed, a crescent symbol has been placed on each of your necks as a hold on your dark magic. I will be giving you each a necklace with a tear of light that will ensure that the crescent always remains on your neck. Lose the tear, and the crescent will wear off. But in case you do lose the tear, I have allowed you enough time to retrieve another tear before the crescent actually disappears."
I looked at my parents to see that we all were wolves. Who exactly was the spirit that helped us? The voice had disappeared leaving the three of us by ourselves.
In our new forms, we jumped from the waterfall, losing whoever was chasing us. We swam until we got to land and relocated to the Faron Woods.
End of Flashback
A tear escaped my eye at the thought of the memory. I quickly wiped it away when I suddenly heard the door to Telma's bar open.
"Link, why are you wasting so much time looking for this (L/N) family?" an all too familiar voice complained.
Even in my human form, due to my magic abilities, I was still able to hear Midna.
"I told you," Link said as he closed the door, "They could be of some help if we ever did find them."
"You're so hopeless," Midna sighed.
Not noticing that I had been staring at the two, I made accidental eye contact with the blonde male.
"Oh no."
I started to panic inside, but then I realized...Link didn't know me back then so I was safe. I quickly turned around and faced the non-existent weapon shop.
I felt a tap on my shoulder. I quickly turned around to meet Link's gaze.
"I'm sorry to interrupt you, but I've been on this mini-quest you could say and I've been trying to get information on a certain (L/N) family. You wouldn't happen to know anything would you?"
I looked at him. He seemed trustworthy, but was I really going to tell him?
...Nope.
So I told him what others have probably told him. "I only know that were blacksmiths and that they owned a shop that used to be located here and that they were associated with dark magic."
"Oh," Link said with a down face, "Thanks for the help."
I decided to interrogate him even more. "Why did you want to know? If you don't mind me asking."
The boy scratched his head, "I was hoping to look for someone who could sharpen my sword and perhaps provide some weaponry for my journey. I wouldn't have minded using some magic infused weapons."
This boy clearly didn't know what my parents' dark magic was capable of.
"Well, I don't know where you could find magic-infused weapons, but if you're looking for a regular blacksmith, then you're standing in front of the right person."
"Really?" Link said as his eyes lit up. "Perhaps you could teach me more about weaponry as well."
"Sure," I said nonchalantly as Link smiled.
I mean, it's not like I'm telling him who I really am. I only told him I was a blacksmith. That wasn't totally a lie.
"My name is Link," he said as he held out his hand. "What's yours?"
Oh crap. I needed to think of a name quickly.
I shook his hand, "The name's Alevina."
Author's Note
So just to let you know, Alevina was just a name I came up with. I was googling names that meant "light" and Elvina was the one I liked. But then I thought, "What if that's someone's actual name?" So I added an 'a' and switched the 'e' and 'l' around. I know, pure genius right? (note the sarcasm) But anyway, hope you guys don't mind that I'm straying away from the game. I may have to make a little twists ;)
Happy Thanksgiving to all~
