"...and then we can put it all together in one document, so it's easier to organize the presentation." - Mia was leading the group, being the moderator to the discussion and assigning tasks.
It wasn't as bad as she thought it would be after that interaction. Perhaps it was because Jisung was scarily quiet.
"Hey, are you okay...?" - Kira rested a hand on his shoulder, which he shoved away.
"Don't touch me."
None of them look like bad people, what could've happened?
"Mia! We're asking what you think about making a banner for geography." - Beomgyu raised his voice. He and Sieun had been discussing by themselves for almost two full minutes.
"Oh. I think it's a great idea. I can make it if someone helps me." - She glanced at the brunette in front of her, who didn't seem to notice.
"I'm good at drawing, I can help!" - Kira spoke.
"Cool! We can end it here, right?" - Beomgyu asked, already putting his material back inside the bag.
"It's been fifteen minutes, Beomgyu." - Mia stated.
"And? We used these fifteen minutes very well! Besides, homie right here is nearly fainting." - With his chin, he pointed at a pale and sweaty Jisung.
"Oh my- Let's get you to the infirmary." - She hurried to organize everything and walked around the table to help him up.
"I'll take him, you guys can discuss." - Kira also got up, approaching the boy beside her.
"We're done, it's fine. Oh and Beomgyu, please create a group chat."
"Alright, please update us when he's better."
With a nod, Mia slightly pulled her friend up, the girl was surprised by how light he was, until she realised there was someone else helping her.
"Let's go together, then." - Kira smiled.
"You don't need to do this, I'm fine, it's just a cold."
The girls didn't reply and instead just took him to the infirmary that, luckily, wasn't that far away.
"Oh, what happened to him?" - The nurse emptied the bed and helped lay him down.
"A stubborn kid that came to school besides being sick." - Kira explained with a light chuckle.
"I see. I'll give him a pill and some tea, then he can sleep."
Mia sat down on the only chair beside the bed.
"I can stay with him."
"No, it's okay, you're probably really busy."
"I'm not, I'll stay." - She insisted while searching for another chair.
"Please leave us alone, Kira." - Jisung opened his eyes after speaking, just to stare at said girl until she was gone.
"I-I'll see you tomorrow, then."
Mia walked to the nurse since she couldn't hide the smile that was forming.
You're terrible, Mia.
-☆-
"'Terrible' is a very strong term. I'd say you just need more time to learn than others."
It was one of those Saturdays, studying Physics with Han. None of them expected to actually do this, but here they were, solving exercises at 10 am in his living room.
In fact, Mia was sure they wouldn't meet today since he was sick until yesterday, but apparently Jisung woke up much better and decided to call her.
"Yeah...I swear I'm really good at other subjects though!"
He laughed at her frustration. "I'm sure you are. Speaking of that, how is the banner going?"
"Banner? Oh. I was actually going to talk with everyone on Monday. Kira said she won't be able to help, so I need someone else to at least help me with the research." - Mia tapped the pen on the table, thinking about how much work she'd have.
"Why don't we do it together? We're here already, maybe we can even finish it today."
"Really? That would be great! I just need to tell my mom."
"Alright! I'll get us something to drink while you do that. Orange juice or peach tea?" - He got up, stopping by the door to hear her answer.
"Peach tea, thanks!"
Mia grabbed her phone and dialled her mom's number. Just as she was about to turn it off, someone answered.
"Hey, mom's in the bathroom." - Her older sister picked up.
"Oh, Youngji! Can you please ask her if I can stay a few more hours here to finish another homework?"
"Who's your friend?"
"Uh...I don't think mom knows him...but his name is Han Jisung." - She replied, fearing the request would be declined.
"Wait a minute." - The call was mutated while the older walked towards the bathroom. "She said it's fine, but you should be home before seven."
"Really!? Thank you!! I'll make sure to be home by then, please thank her for me, Youngji." - Mia spoke excitedly.
"Hm. And we're talking when you get home, bye."
"Bye-bye!"
What does she want to talk about?
"Hey, here's your tea." - Jisung placed a glass in front of her, then sat down with his own.
"Thank you! My mom said I should be home by 7, so I think I can stay here until 6:30."
"Cool! My mom said we can ask for delivery, eat outside or just eat a homemade meal, what do you prefer?"
"Uh..."
Mia looked around the room, still humming. Her eyes then stopped at the boy, who was waiting expectedly.
"Whatever is the best for her?" - She smiled shyly.
Jisung let out a light chuckle. "Is there any food you're craving?"
With a quick shake of her head, she answered. "Anything is fine!"
"I'm afraid I don't know where to get that."
She laughed in disbelief. “Your favourite food, then.”
