Izuku's point of view

I dropped Ashoka Beckett the Jedi temple and I headed over to the Senate, Senator chuchi wanted me to meet her in her office

I walked through the Senate building and it's pretty much empty barely anyone's here. Well it was usually the day when the senators were excused like their day off I suppose even government officials need that though there were still some that did secret meetings.

It's not like I can judge. I'm having one of those secret meetings now I get to the room where the senator is waiting for me. The doors open and I step in.

the senator sitting on her chair she stands up when she notices that I've entered: izuku Midoriya it is a pleasure to see you again

I nod: as it is to see you Senator chuchi i'm glad it is under better circumstances

Senator chuchi: I as well, but unfortunately we must get straight to business. I have another meeting I must attend to please have a seat.

She points to the chair on the other side of the table and I take it sitting down across from her. She then explains the situation. : now I understand that you as an individual do not believe in the culture of your planet

I correct her : of any believes on my planet so I just don't believe in the afterlife the same way they do... Actually I don't think I believe in an afterlife at all though I do believe in ghosts take that as you will

Senator chuchi: right so I was hoping that you could help me with my current situation someone from earth is speaking up against my peoples culture saying it is the devil's work and it is a lie

Yeah, kind of figured that it grinds my gears when people do this say that are the beliefs are against their own sure I'm not a believer but I do believe that everyone has the right to believe in whatever after life or deity they want to believe in.

I need to do something about this, but I need to be careful. Discussions with religion in the mix have a tendency of getting out of control: I can try talking to this person but... I might need a bit of help discussions with religion involved have a history on my planet of getting out of hand and leading to... Very bad situations

Senator chuchi: I understand that and I am deeply sorry that I must ask you to do something so uncomfortable but these speak out against the religion are hurting our people as well as making a new prime minister... upset he and his family are great believers in the moon goddess and this person speaking out against it is upsetting them not to mention it's causing quite a bit of uproar as well as a few few people losing their faith

By the sounds of it if this isn't nipped in the butt soon it could revolve into a full on religion wall and that will never end well: I can try talking to this person get them to understand that what they're doing isn't right... But it's not gonna be easy especially if they're from another time period but if I may ask if this person is upsetting your new prime minister can't you just... Well for a lack of a better term remove this person

Senator chuchi gasped: izuku are you suggesting that the prime minister should have this person-

I raise my hands defensively I know what she's gonna say, and that's definitely not what I meant: no no I'm just saying what stopping him from getting his guards and escorting this person off the planet

Senator chuchi: unfortunately the Prime Minister believes that everyone has the right to speak even against religion if you want to remove the person by force would only damage his reputation and public image therefore he needs this matter to be solved quietly which is why he contacted me to contact you

All right, I guess that makes sense: OK sure... If you could just tell me where this person is I'll wait for them and I'll hopefully get them to stop... But I might need back up people like this don't go down without a argument

Senator chuchi: I can arrange something but we should discuss the details later. I have to get to the meeting.

I nod: OK I'll wait in your office if that's okay

Senator chuchi She gets up ready to leave, but then stops by the door: izuku... I've heard that you caught someone someone from a different part-time period as to yours...

I was surprised that she heard about that we tried to keep it under wraps: yes I did... If you don't mind me asking how did you know that?

The senator: well... Some of the senators are talking and there are rumours surrounding this mysterious figure that you claim to be a killer from 400 years ago. I believe you called him Jack the Ripper.

Yeah, still can't believe that myself. I caught Jack the Ripper the guy who tormented London back in the 18th century and I caught him and I wasn't even born back then: yes I know this sounds weird but we're not entirely sure how but it appears that people from earth have been disappearing long before me and showing up in this time period. Perhaps he's been going on long and people just haven't noticed for I know perhaps someone from the future of my planet may teleport in one day but for now it seems to be people from my time and the past.

Senator chuchi: I suppose I understand but that's not the reason I ask... I heard rumours about this man what he has done or rather what he did is there any inkling as to why he did these horrible things

That is a very interesting question: there are many theories as to why Jack the Ripper did the things he did. Some people say that his mother abused him that's why he attacked women others say that he wanted to only attack one woman but he tried to cover it all up by attacking the others others say... That he was just born evil

Senator chuchi: and do you believe this? That someone is capable of being born evil?

I am not entirely sure: I've definitely seen people that I believe are evil to the core but I know in some levels that there is a reason why they do the things they do whether it's psychological or just plain payback there's usually a reason... It's just sometimes twisted and difficult to understand by our perspective but in no way does it justify what they've done if you don't mind me asking why the interest?

Senator chuchi: I do not wish to speak all of the dead but... You remember the old prime minister

How could I forget him? That guy was a pain in the neck plus he tried to wipe out the species on a planet just so we could own wasteland or because he wanted to kill... Either way he does not bring up good memories

But I decide to play it cool: vaguely

Senator chuchi: well I was thinking about him and what you said about... His personality you called him a narcissist who couldn't handle when people told him he was wrong and in some cases acted sort of like a child

Well, I didn't put it exactly that way: I didn't put it exactly like that, but yeah

Senator chuchi seemed visibly shaken: well after he was remove from power and then died in that battle I was tasked with cleaning out his files for the new prime minister and I found some... Disturbing things

I don't like where this is going: what did you find Senator

She turned around and she seemed to be shaking: there were other senators that represented my planet before me... Three others or female or roughly around the same age as me and all were fired and then mysteriously vanished after they got into an argument with the old Prime Minister

Mysteriously vanished oh I see where this is going: you think the Prime Minister... Had something to do with these women's disappearance

Senator chuchi: yes I do and I don't know what to do with this kind of information. The old Prime Minister may be dead and his name may be disgraced in the eyes of our people, but he still has a family that relies on a little bit of influence his name still has if I go public with this I could destroy what little life they have left but still the people have a right to know, especially the families of these women that supposedly disappeared

I understand where she's coming from: I understand but all you have now is speculation and sure the old prime minister fits that kind of description of a person that would do something like that but you don't have any real evidence. Yes it's suspicious that these three women were fired and then they mysteriously vanished, but there's no proof that the prime minister did anything

Senator chuchi: but what if I find proof what do I do then?

I don't have an answer for her: I don't have an answer for you. It's up to you what you do with that information when you find the proof and that's up to you. I'm sorry Senator chuchi but I don't believe I'll be able to give you much help in this situation.

The senator nodded: no it's quite alright. You've given me your idea and I shall see where it takes me.

With that she leaves and I'm left in her office thinking about what she told me. Is it possible? Could the old prime minister be responsible for three women's disappearance and probable murder?

Sure the guy was... Arrogant and stuck up he definitely seems like the type but accusing someone of murder and cover-up that's that's a big leap and yeah the old prime minister had the power to do so but would he really do it three times?

I know the man's dead, but maybe I should look into this. If nothing else I could bring peace to 3 families perhaps a deep dive into the old Prime Minister's history might lower up any evidence of this crime.

That's what I thought when I was about to exit the office and head over to the archives of the Senate building when there was a sudden shake and the lights flickered for a moment

I look up at them, confused: that was weird... What's going on?
