Song: Justin Beiber- One Dance (Remix)

I didn't have any other appointments so I headed straight home from the café. A large envelope lay on the doormat outside my door with my name scrawled across in large, letters. I picked it up and opened it once I unlocked the door. I shook out the contents and a paper and two c.ds with plain white labels fell onto my palm. One c.d was labelled Em's Saturday mix and the second was Em's Sunday mix. I walked over to my room and placed my bag, folder and the discs onto the bed and looked at the paper. A crudely scrawled list filled both sides of the paper. The list was divided into two sections, one with the title Em's Saturday mix and the second with Em's Sunday mix.

I inspected the list more closely and realized it was a list of songs and corresponding artists. I could barely make out the words though. I debated throwing it all in the trash since it was obviously from Kyle but I felt bad so I didn't. I took my phone to text Kyle and saw that I had a message from him.

Hie Emily. I don't know if you'll even read this but I just wanted to say I'm sorry. I shouldn't have said you over-reacted. I left something for you at your apartment earlier. Please listen to it. There are two discs, one for Saturday and the other for Sunday. Since you said you do laundry and cleaning on Saturday, I put songs that are up-beat and lively and the list will help you identify what song it is and who sings it (I listed the songs on the paper in the same order they appear on the disc). The Sunday songs are more "quiet" and you can listen to them while you read. I'm sorry again. If you never want to see me again, I'll completely understand but please try the music out.

I closed the message without replying it and put the disc into my c.d player and pressed play. A catchy beat started playing and I found myself nodding to the rhythm. I took the note and tried to make out what the name of the first song was and it looked like "Steal my girl- One Direction."

I cranked up the volume and changed into some sweatpants, a tank top and a hoodie, enjoying the voices of the boys singing the song.

At some point I even started waving my hands in tune with the song. It was really catchy. I stuffed the list into my pocket and cleaned the apartment, checking the list whenever the song changed. By the time I finished cleaning and doing my laundry it was 2 p.m and I was halfway through the songs.

I turned down the volume and plopped down on my bed then grabbed my phone and called Kyle.

"Emily?" he sounded surprised to hear from me.

"Were you expecting someone else?" I asked.

"No, I'm just surprised. I didn't think you would want to talk to me after what happened earlier."

"I got over it and in hindsight it was kinda funny. Especially the part where I started swearing in front of the nuns," I said laughing.

"Nooo. You didn't," Kyle gasped and I could tell he was smiling on his end.

"I totally did. Anyway, I got the c.ds. Thank you," I said.

"Did you listen to them?" he asked.

"Yeah. I was listening to the Saturday one while I did my laundry and cleaned the apartment. It actually made the chores a lot more fun."

"I'm glad to hear that. So any favorites yet?"

"I really liked the first song. Steal my girl by One Direction, I think. I can barely make out what you wrote on this list so I gave up on trying to read some of it," I laughed.

"Sorry about that," he said sheepishly.

"It's okay. I'll figure it out eventually. I just wanted to say thanks. I really like the music."

"You're welcome and thanks for calling me," he said.

"Sure."

"So not to be pushy or anything but..." he trailed off.

"You want to know if this means I forgive you and the deal is back on?" I asked.

"Yeah...I mean if you don't want to go through with it, it's completely understandable and I..."

"Kyle," I interrupted him.

"Yeah?"

"Looking forward to Day 3," I said with a smile. He chuckled and we said our goodbyes and hung up.

I raised the volume again. According to the list, I was currently listening to Selena Gomez and Charlie Puth singing We don't talk anymore. I decided to have a burger for lunch and prepare rice and chicken curry for supper. When I was done cooking I curled up on the couch for a nap.

3 hours later I was woken up by a knock at the door. I stretched my arms then walked over to the door.

"Uhh hie?" I said to Kyle when I opened the door.

"Hey. I tried to call you but you weren't picking up so I just came over. You busy?" he asked.

"Well, not really. I was just taking a nap. What's up?"

"I need you to go somewhere with me."

"Somewhere?" I asked crinkling my nose. "Could you be more specific?"

"It's kind of a surprise so, no I can't," Kyle replied. I considered it and thought what the heck.

"I'll just change then," I said.

"No need, you're perfect like that. Just grab the Saturday c.d and the list and we'll go."

I narrowed my eyes at him but did as he asked and went downstairs with him, c.d and list in hand.

"How far did you get with the songs?" he asked as he backed out of the parking lot.

"Before I fell asleep, the last song I heard was Timber I think."

"Okay." We traveled in silence until we reached the park. The sun had already set and it was starting to get dark. He parked and went round to open my door for me. After I got out, he took a blanket, basket and a portable radio from the boot and led the way to the park grounds. He laid out the blanket and sat on one end and gestured for me to join him on the other.

"I had a lot of food and not enough stomach-space to stash it so I thought I'd share it with you," he said handing me a ham sandwich from the basket.

"How kind of you," I laughed. He took the c.d from me and put it in the portable radio then skipped a couple of songs up to the one I had heard last.

I dug through the basket and found some pizza rolls which I happily devoured.

"Are you going to share any of those?" Kyle asked.

"Nope," I said cheekily.

"Come on. Pizza rolls are my favorite," he whined reaching for the basket. I playfully snapped my teeth at his fingers and took the basket, hugging it close to my chest.

"Stay away from my precioussss," I hissed making him laugh with my Gollum impersonation.

"Fine. Keep it," he said. A new song started playing and I reached for the list to see what it was called.

"This one is Wrapped up by Olly Murs and Travie McCoy."

"Sounds...lively," I said.

"Olly Murs' songs are usually that way." He smiled at me then stood, pulling me up with him and he started singing along to the song. I was struck dumb by how amazing his voice was and I gaped at him while he sang and danced till the song ended.

"Why weren't you dancing?" he asked me pausing the c.d before it went on to the next song.

"Three legged goat, remember. How are you so amazing at singing and dancing?"

"Just a hobby," he shrugged. "I can teach you how to dance."

I shook my head. "No way. I'll probably break my legs in the process or something."

"It's not that hard. Just follow my lead." He took the list and checked which song was next.

"This next song that we're going to dance to has a couple of versions. It's called One dance and it was originally sang by Drake but this is a remix by Justin Bieber. The lyrics are a little different," he explained as he placed my hands around his neck and his on my waist. We were an inch apart and I stopped breathing.

"Ready?" he asked and all I could do was nod in response. "When I move forward with my right foot, you move back with your left. Then I'll move back with my right and step to the side with my left while you move forward with your left and step to the side with your right then bring the foot back to the left. Got it?"

I nodded again.

"Okay, on 3. 1, 2, 3. Step back, step forward, step to the right, back to the left and again. Step back, step forward, step to the right, back to the left. See that wasn't so hard hey," he said.

"Wait until the music comes on," I said.

"You'll be fine. Okay so we'll do those steps four times, just to get you used to the rhythm of the song then I'll twirl you like this," he took one of my hands and spun me away from him then back and caught me on my waist with his other hand before I rammed into his chest.

"Then you try and match my movements, okay? I won't do anything complicated," he said.

"Okay," I said and he bent down and pressed play. The song started playing and he put his arms around my waist again and I placed mine around his neck, just as he had shown me.

"Start the steps on three. 1, 2, 3," he said. We started dancing the way he had shown me and repeated the first steps four times. He spun me around and I spun back, perfectly and swayed my hips to match his movements then we went back to the steps.

"You did really great. Do you want to try again?" he asked when the song ended.

"Yes! That was fun," I squealed happily. He skipped back to the song and we resumed positions. This time he sang along to the song and the dance changed quite a bit.

When the song began he moved forward a step as he had done before but this time he moved much closer to me and brushed his lips on my neck before he moved back then he twirled me and instead of spinning me back to face him, I ended up with my back pressed against his chest. Feeling adventurous, I swayed my hips against him and he placed his hands on them and matched my movements then turned me around to face him. Our chests were pressed together and our lips were almost touching.

"That wasn't what we rehearsed," he said.

"I followed your lead like you told me to, remember," I breathed, trying to catch my breath. We stared into each other's eyes, neither of us speaking. He moved closer to me and his lips brushed against mine sending a thousand volts across my body and making my eyes flutter closed.

Here's part 2 as promised. If anyone has trouble seeing the multimedia showing the list of songs that Kyle prepared for Em, let me know and I'll do a text version of it. Till next time lovelies!
