24
A week. She's trapped herself in her room for a week. Bill comes and goes mostly, along with Mike. Mike is like the worried dad she always needed.
Richie came to visit her a few times. She pretended she didn't want him there, although it was rather clear she appreciated his company. The only times she laughed or showed even a hint of happiness was when he was around making stupid jokes.
She almost even forgot about Janice. Almost.
Most days, she sleeps late and lays in bed all day. Then, she goes back to sleep. Some days she eats. Most days not.
She's had a few questionable incidents happen lately.
From the lights in her bathroom flickering, to the what sounds like children laughing and repeating the words, "you'll float too." Yet, she's too depressed to be afraid of whatever it was.
Today though, today was going to be different.
Bill isn't going to let her throw her summer away all because of Richie. He can understand Novocane, but he knows that she needs help moving on. So, he took it upon himself to have Bev forcefully dress her; then, proceeded to carry her struggling self out of the house.
"Ivy– p-please stop struggling. W-We're almost to my house...." Bill begs, not appreciating the girl's flailing limbs. "You're kidnapping me! THIS IS A CRIME DENBROUGH."
Bill chuckles softly at that, setting her back down on the ground. They're now in front of the Denbrough residence.
"C-Can you please just st-stay here? I think I've found something r-really important..."
Ivy examines the boy's expression, not finding a single trace or playfulness.
"Alright.." she sighs, "but don't push it."
Bill smiles, leaning over and kissing her cheek appreciatively before he has a chance to think about it. Ivy's face heats up at the action and Bill's eyes widen as he processes what he just did.
"I-I'm sorry! I-I–" the stuttering boy tries his hardest to form the right words, but doesn't even know how to explain himself.
Ivy blinks slowly, resting the tips of her fingers on the spot below her cheekbone. She grins a little at how flustered he is, then waves her hands at him.
"It's alright, Bill. Lets just go into the garage, okay? You said the others were waiting for us right?" The girl questions, switching the topic. Bill swallows hard, nodding his head. With a small blush, he follows the girl towards the garage. When they enter the garage, the losers are sitting around chatting.
The all stop what they're doing, drifting their attention towards the girl.
Eddie gasps a little. None of them were actually expecting Bill to get her out of the house, except Bev who dressed her. In a flash, the whole group is up and tackling her in a group hug, Eddie being the first one to opening embrace her.
Ivy stumbles back in surprise, laughing and hugging them all back tightly.
"We missed you, Okonma!" Richie voice everyone's thoughts. Ivy blushes slightly, offering them all a smile. "I missed you guys too..."
Bill walks around his group of friends, and towards the projector.
"Okay guys, let m-me show you what I was t-talking about..."
