At around 9:30am, Ivy's rotary phone rings loudly. She sits up and looks around frantically, while Richie groans and hugs a pillow over his head.

Sleepily, she reaches out and picks up her phone.

On the other line is a panicked Bev, who is speaking too fast for Ivy to make sense of anything she's saying. Ivy's eyebrows knit into confusion as she listens in.

"Wait, what? I-I just woke up, speak a little slower..."

"BLOOD CAME FROM THE SINK. GET OVER HERE NOW!"

Ivy's eyes widen and she finds herself falling out of her bed and towards her closet. Richie sits up and looks at her with a questioning look.

"Bev needs us to go over!" She explains, pulling on clothes and clipping Novocane's leash on.

Richie reluctantly climbs out of bed and follows the girl out of her house. He is far too tired to be concerned with the thought of her parents seeing him.

Once the two are outside, Ivy climbs onto her bike, and Novocane hops onto her lap. The dog's front paws lean on the metal between the bike handles.

"What happened? She on her period or something?" Richie jokes, beginning to bike towards the red-headed girl's house.

Ivy rolls her eyes, "I don't know."

As the two approach the house, they see the other boys all riding in the same direction. Richie decides to leave the fact that he slept over at Ivy's a secret.

Bev is stood by her apartment stairs, looking paler than usual.

She rushes towards the losers as they all begin to hop off their bikes.

"I need to show you guys something.." she says, looking between everyone.

"More than we saw at the quarry?" Richie snorts, causing Stan to flick his arm.

"Shut up, Richie! Shut up!" Eddie says, panicked by the thought of Bev being hurt.

After his personal encounter with the leper, he can't help but be on edge. He worries that his friends might have the same thing happen if they're not too careful. Bev gives the nervous boy a thankful glance.

"My dad will kill me if he finds out boys have been in the apartment..." the freckled girl trails.

"W-We'll leave a lookout. Richie st-stay here," Bill commands, dumping his bike and following Bev.

The others begin to follow closely behind.

"What the fuck? I don't even know what her dad looks like! What do I even do if he shows up?"

Stan rolls his eyes.

"Do what you always do– start talking!"

"It's a gift!" Richie shouts back.

He plays with his fingers a little before growing the courage to say a little more.

"Hey, Ivy!" He calls.

The girl stops, and Novocane comes to a halt behind her. She turns back to face him as the other leave her behind.

"What now, Tozier?"

He grins.

"Don't you want to stay out here with me?"

"No. Not really. Not at all actually," She laughs, "But Novocane will stay here with you."

The dog whines in protest.

It's too late though, Ivy has already walked her over and handed the leash to Richie, before turning around and walking into the building after everyone else. Richie watches her with disbelief, huffing and crossing his arms over his chest.

Novocane let's out a quiet bark of desperation as the boy begins to rant.

Meanwhile, the teens walk down the corridor of Bev's house, towards what seems to be a bathroom.

Eddie can't help but feel nervous.

"Are we– are we going to your bathroom? I just want you to know, 89% o-of the worst accidents are caused in bathrooms a-and, I mean, that's where all the bad bacteria and fungi are. I-It's not really a sanitary place—"

Ivy's hand tugs at Eddie, shutting the boy up. Bill slowly pushes open the door, revealing a blood coated bathroom.

"O-Oh, I knew it..." Eddie chokes out, and Ivy stands in shock along with everyone else.

"You see it too?" Bev questions.

"How can we not?" Ivy blinks.

"What happened in here?" Stan manages to ask through his fearful facade.

Bev glances around the room. "When my dad couldn't see it, I thought I might be going crazy..."

"If you're crazy, then we all are.." Ben mutters.

After a few minutes of silence, Bill speaks up. "We c-can't leave it like this..."

With that said, they all get to work on scrubbing the blood away. Finally, after a good hour, the bathroom is clean again. They had forgotten all about Richie.

Once they submerge into the bright day light, Novocane barks in relief and pulls Richie towards her owner. The dog is so excited, that she expresses too much force, and ultimately causes Richie's body to collide with Ivy's. Ivy loses her balance and falls back, Richie lands on top of her.

Ivy blushes, and Richie smirks.

"Come here often?" He jokes, staring down into her eyes.

Ivy rolls her orbs, shoving the boy off of her and taking Stan's hand to pull her up. Once back on her feet, the losers all grab their bikes and begin walking down the road.

"No, I love being the personal doormat, really! I mean, could you idiots have taken any longer?!" Richie complains, glaring at the group.

"Beep beep, Richie." Ivy groans.

"That's code for shut up," Eddie translates.

"Yeah, shut up!" Stan adds.

"Okay, trash the trash mouth, I get it. Hey, I wasn't the one scrubbing the floors and imagining Bev's sink went all Eddie's mom's vagina on Halloween."

"She didn't imagine it," Bill defends, they all come to a stop, gathering around to look at him. Seriousness coats the boy's tone suddenly. "I...I-I saw something, too."

"You saw blood?" Stan timidly asks.

"Not blood. I saw G-G-Georgie. It seemed so real. I mean, it seemed like him, but there was this—"

"The clown..." Eddie cuts in, breathing deeply. "Yeah, I saw him too."

Fear lingers in the air, and the asthmatic boy's eyes stay glued to the floor below him. Ivy nervously thinks back to her own unusual experience.

"Wait, can only virgins see this stuff?" Richie asks with sarcasms dripping in his features, "Is that why I'm not see this shit?"

Novocane barks loudly, and everyone's attention deters from the eerie subject. Their eyes turn to focus on what the dog was barking at.

A car.

Belch Huggins' car.
