DAY 27
Writing Tip #27: One of the hardest things we have to learn as writers is discipline. Sometimes, you really do have to delete scenes, even scenes you're proud of. If you have a scene that's really, really good and something you're extremely proud of, you may have to cut it if it doesn't fit the story, no matter how proud you are of it. However, with that said, be sure to save the things you delete. Just because they don't work for one story doesn't mean they won't work for another, so be sure to have a document of your old work available for when you may need it!
Daily Vocab Word: Obsolete - (adjective) No longer used, out of date. I.e., "Eight-track players are now entirely obsolete."

Writing Challenge #27: Think Outside The Box!
For this challenge, I'm going to challenge you to write in a new medium: poetry. Some of you may have vast experience with this while others are groaning and rolling their eyes at me right now.
I get it: I don't like writing poetry. I like reading it, but writing it is not as fun for me, so I understand, but sometimes expanding our mediums can be extremely eye-opening! And, if not, hey, at least you can say you tried it, right?
So for this challenge, write a poem of any kind of any length about the person who either A) hurt you the most, or B) you love (any kind of love; romantic, platonic, familial, animal, etc.) the most. You can choose either one, and the poem is pretty open-ended. I encourage you to try to include as many emotions as you can in this!
Mark here when the challenge is completed --->
Happy writing!
