DAY 25
Writing Tip #25: It may sound boring, but a good way to improve your writing is reading scholarship and textbooks about things like psychology and philosophy, especially if you like to write stories where there are complex emotions. Consider looking on your local library's website and reading up on some peer-reviewed essays about topics that interest you!
Daily Vocab Word: Partible - (adjective) Can be divided or separated. I.e., "The cake is partible into eight pieces."
Writing Challenge Improvement Area: Characters & Perspectives
Writing Challenge #25: Character Journal
From the perspective of any character (a character from one of your works, a completely new character, or a pre-existing character), write a journal entry (or multiple).
This journal entry should be in first person this time, and it should cover the average day in your chosen character's life. The purpose of this exercise is to practice writing in the voice of your character, and I also think it can work as a good reminder of what your chosen character goes through, therefore giving you an even deeper understanding of them.
The journal entry can be as long or as short as you'd like, depending on the character you're writing. Some characters might yap and over explain, others may just write "F my life" and be done. Up to you!
Mark here when the challenge is completed --->
Happy writing!
