DAY 24
Writing Tip #24: Remember to draw inspiration from your real life experiences. Sometimes the main thing you have to do to be a good writer is just get a lot of real life experience. Don't be scared to implement your real life experiences into your writing, and also don't be scared to go out and gain experiences, if not for your joy, then for the plot (literally).
Daily Vocab Word: Divagation - (noun) Wandering off from the main path or topic. I.e., "His talk was full of interesting divagations."
Writing Challenge Improvement Area: Descriptions & Perspectives
Writing Challenge #24: Rewrite Your Life!
In this challenge, think of any incident in your life. It can be a serious one, a funny one, something simple, etc. Literally any event you can think of, even giving a presentation in class.
Got it down?
Alright, good! Now, write a scene of any length about that incident, but write it from the perspective of either a cowboy or a cop. It can be in first or third person. It can be a scene where you're still in the scene and you're writing the cowboy or cop watching the incident, or where the cowboy/cop replaces you in the scene and goes through your life incident instead.
It can be as long or as short as you want. You can change the life event if you'd like.
Mark here when the challenge is completed --->
Happy writing!
(Creds to Joanna White from Writing Prompts & Challenges for this idea)
