DAY 11

Writing Tip #11: When writing descriptions, stop for a moment and try to imagine it in your head after you write said descriptions. Imagine every word and see if it makes sense. This is especially true in the case of adverbs. If you have a phrase like "looked at him suspiciously," maybe you can alter that so instead of saying "suspiciously," you describe the look. Also be careful about going too metaphorical with your descriptions, especially if you are writing sci-fi or fantasy since those metaphorical descriptions can be taken literally in a world where anything is possible.

Daily Vocab Word: Paris - (noun) A church community led by a pastor. I.e., "Our family attends the local parish."

Writing Challenge Improvement Area: Descriptions

Writing Challenge #11: The Perspective Flip

In this challenge, take a familiar environment and instead describe it from an unusual perspective. For example:

- Describe a bedroom from a cat's perspective

- Describe the inside of a pocket from a coin's perspective

- Describe the inside of a tree instead of the outside

Those are just some examples, but you can choose to do whatever you'd like!

I'd recommend doing at least one, though of course, you can do as many as you want!

Mark here when you complete the challenge --->

Happy writing!
