"Ey, Sleeping Beauty, get your ass up." Groaning, Katsuki slowly raised his hands to his eyes, rubbing his eyelids to try and get his bearings.
"Have fun with that," the same voice that woke Kat up mused, slamming a door closed right in the ash-blonde's ears.
Slightly disoriented, Katsuki grumbled under his breath and quickly sat up, and ignoring as the pounding headache that berated him got worse.
Looking around for only a split second, Katsuki noticed he was inside of a cell, with a huge, locked metal door standing in the way of him and the outside world.
"Jesus fucking Christ, what the hell is happening?" he asked of himself, frustratedly spitting the words out as he banged against the metal bar.
"I don't recommend doing that," a semi-high voice suggested to him, making the ashy-haired teen jump two feet into the air. Spinning in his place to see who had spoken, Katsuki was very surprised to see another guy around his age in there with him.
Correction, two other guys his age.
The small look of curiosity and impatience morphed into one of complete disbelief.
Eijirou Kirishima, his best friend, and sorta kinda...crush, was laying on the bottom bunk bed Ro the right of the door, and a short, freckled boy with pastoral-colored hair sat comfortably in the opposite bed to the left.
Katsuki ran a hand down his face in dubiety, the ash-blonde only took a moment's hesitation to run over to the red head and try shaking him awake.
"Shitty hair, c'mon, fucking wake up!" he shouted at the unconscious boy with worry.
Shifting a bit, Izuku looked the frantic ash-blonde up and down.
"You know him?" he asked, a slight tone of wonder coating his words. It had never crossed his mind that people could find their loved ones at any point in time, even though it was possible.
Saying nothing, Katsuki continued to try and wake up his best friend, increasingly growing more angry and worried by the second.
"Ah..." Kirishima groggily groaned, finally having awakened after being shaken by Bakugo for so long.
Moving his head from side-to-side and grabbing the redhead's shoulders, Katsuki angrily pulled his best friend in for an emotional bear hug. Bakugo didn't know where his mother or father were, but at least he had his crush.
He of course would never say that out loud. Ever.
Looking away in bitterness, Izuku hid his glassy eyes away from the hugging duo, thinking how incredibly lucky they both were to have each other during these harsh times.
'I wish,' he sourly thought.
"You bastard, where the hell have you been?!" Bakugo exclaimed as he pulled back from the aggressive embrace he had pulled Kirishima in for.
Shrugging with a lost look settling on his face, said male deeply wondered the same thing. The last thing he remembered was a foggy memory of being caught under a tree...and being helped out by four random dudes that he had never met before.
Kirishima opened his mouth to say exactly that, when he was stopped by the sound of the an loud and scary siren blaring outside of their cells, and the huge metal door sliding open.
Sighing and hopping out of bed, Izuku motioned forward and walked out of the small space, looking back and forth to see many people walk out of their cells as well, and rolling his neck as he walked to the left.
Izuku didn't even look behind him to see if Kirishima or Bakugo were following, he just went down the stairs and booked it for the opposite end of the base level. There was where the counter that served food was, and he had noticed it as soon as he was escorted into that prison.
Walking up to it with his hands stuffed in his pockets, Izuku nodded at the guy behind it, looking around and noticing all of the tables and people that were mingling about and playing random games.
He was handed a tray and went down the line, grabbing sides, a drink, and his entree before speed walking back to where he had come from.
Passing by Eijirou and Katsuki, Izuku took his hand out of his pocket and pointed at a table that wasn't filled with people near the staircases.
The busy acknowledged what he had meant and went to go get their own food, when Izuku sat and had barely even opened his silverware packet, when he noticed a man around his 40s playing against another man his age...in chess.
'Interesting,' he mused, slowly pulling his sport out and stabbing his creamy corn.
"I'm still kinda surprised that they even serve food, y'know?" a certain redhead commented, walking leisurely over to their table with a irritated Bakugo right next to him.
Kirishima and Bakugo say next to each other and across from Izuku, with which Izuku snorted at.
"Did you really just say that, dude? Of course they serve food, how else are they going to keep their prisoners alive?" Izuku responded with, scoffing at his own words and watching the two men's' chess match closely; cringing when one of them made a bad move.
"Well I mean I get that, I guess I'm just surprised about everything at this point. Like, why the hell are we even here?!" Kirishima exclaimed, immediately scooping up a spoonful of tomato soup and popping his spork into his mouth.
Bakugo rolled his eyes and aggressively bit into his slice of pizza, curiously watching as Izuku watched two grown men play an intelligent game.
"Why are you so interested in them anyway?" he abruptly asked while nodding his head in their direction; his mouth full with pizza.
"One, chew with your mouth closed and don't speak as you do so, and two, you don't have to know...what even are your guys' names?" Izuku answered speedily while taking about of his corn and turning towards the other two boys.
Rolling his eyes again, Katsuki replies with,
"Katsuki Bakugo, Eijirou Kirishima," he introduced with his time pointing at each other. Stuffing the rest of his pizza into his mouth and monitoring the place, Katsuki wondered how hard it would be to escape whilst the guards were on duty and while they weren't.
But then again, he didn't even know if the guards got a break or not, and if so, what time of day the break(s) would be.
'Fuck,' he cursed, angrily biting into his roasted broccolini and being taken aback with how appetizing the green vegetable was.
"Nice, it's Izuku Midoriya, but since I figure that we're gonna be locked up with each other for quite some time, you can call me Deku."
Both Katsuki and Eijirou were hit in the face with what Izuku has said, and shared a look of confusion with each other before looking back at him.
"B-but you are aware that that nickname means-"
"Yes I am, but an old friend of mine...heh, she convinced me otherwise, so I've used the ever since. Now please, just call me by it," Izuku interrupted, having known what Kirishima was going to stutter out since he's heard it many times over.
Dropping his spork and walking over to the two men playing chess with both of his hands in his pockets once again, Izuku nodded at the loser and the winner, the winner having been the first man he noticed.
He said nothing although, and merely walked away, back to their cell as he no longer had any appetite.
Taking their time with their food and silently questioning why Izuku had nodded at the men, Kirishima and Bakugo stayed behind to finish their food and throw all of the scraps away.
They set their trays on top of the trash can and made small talk, Kirishima smiling nervously as he calmed Bakugo down every once in awhile when the ashy blonde got super heated about something.
They both made it back to the cell, only to find Izuku back in the same position as he was before lunch.
Kirishima flew at his bunk and Katsuki sat agaisnt the end of the bunk with one leg straight out and the other raised with his arm resting on his knee.
The boys sat in silence as the cell door closed, and they were left with nothing to do but stare at each other, and the walls.
"So...have a crush on anyone, Deku? Oh wait-" Kirishima shut his mouth at such a question real fast, his eyes widening and his cheeks becoming bright red.
"Oh no it's fine, Kirishima. I actually am not interested in anyone right now, though I am confused as to why you would ask, heh," Izuku quirky reassures of Kirishima, waving his hands around as a very faint blush creeped onto his cheeks as well.
Katsuki scoffed as his own cheeks lit aflame slightly unknowingly to the other two boys.
"You're so weird Kirishima, like you literally could have asked any other question, like are you going to college, are you a fucking idiot, oh wait...we already know the answer to that one," Katsuki sarcastically asked, turning around slightly once he felt that he wasn't blushing anymore.
Kirishima just became more embarrassed and refrained from answering and didn't protest Katsuki's insult.
Chuckling, Izuku uncrossed his legs, as he had done so only a moment after he had gotten into his bed, and laid down on his side facing the wall.
"We should all probably get some rest, don't you think?" Izuku suggested, growing quiet immediately after and hearing the sound of Katsuki getting off the stone floor and climbing onto the top bunk to get some sleep.
Grumbling under his breath about Kirishima's stupid question, and Eijirou doing the same, all three boys quickly fell asleep at that, literally having nothing to do during the middle of the day, and feeling tired after being kidnapped earlier.
*Hours later*
"Grab the green-haired one, and then if he's not it, get the other two as well. We've already done mostly everyone else," a deep voice commanded, jostling Izuku awake, as he was a very light sleeper.
"Wha-what's happening?" he groggily asked no one in particular, shouting in protest when one of the men from before grabbed his arm and pressed a cloth against his mouth and nose.
Izuku fought the urge to fall back asleep as hard as he could, kicking and screaming to try and get out of the man's grip, and to somehow signal for help, but fell limp nonetheless.
"H-huh? D-Deku-" Kirishima fell out of his bed and rubbed his eyes, only able to lurch forward and grab Izuku's ankle as he was being carried away, only to be kicked in the face by one of the men.
"No no no wait!" Eijirou was only able to get up and to the door by the time it was slammed in his face, and Izuku was dragged away before his eyes.
Hopping out of bed and quickly running up to the door and his redheaded crush, Katsuki mind was still sluggish from his nap, but he was still worried despite the fact.
Punching the iron cell door in exasperation, Katsuki was confused and tired and just wanted out. Out of the cell, out of the prison, and just out of...his city that was in shambles.
He wanted to be somewhere where he wouldn't have to worry. Somewhere where these bastards that locked him and his cell mates up couldn't reach...but he knew such a place didn't exist.
I mean it couldn't, right?
"W-what the hell just happened? Where'd they take Deku? Is he okay?! I-" Kirishima rambled about, his words fusing together as he talked.
Resting his hand on Kirishima's shoulder, Katsuki shushed him and rested his ear against the door, crickets being the only thing he could hear on the other sides.
"Look, we just need to calm down, and figure out how to fucking find him. Maybe we should regroup tomorrow and look for him around lunch or whenever the hell," the ash-blonde suggested as he looked around the cell at the door again.
"B-but what will happen to him while we do? He could be killed or tortured!" Eijirou freaked, thinking fo the worse and only worrying himself more.
Smacking Kirishima over the head, Katsuki sighed and thought.
There had to be a reason why Izuku was carried away. There had to be. That reason could even be connected to why they were even there in the first place.
They just needed to search the prison at the most inconspicuous moment, and maybe they'd stumble upon their emerald-eyed cell mate along the way.
Yeah, they could do it. They just needed the right opening, and needed to be in the right mindset.
Telling Kirishima all of this, Katsuki removes his when from the other teens' shoulder and sat on Izuku's bunk.
"We'll find him, Kiri, can I call you that? Whatever, I'm gonna fucking call you that, your whole last name is a mouthful and it's boring to just say Shitty Hair 24/7. Though I'm not wrong about the nickname, don't get it fucking twisted," Katsuki said all at once, convincing Eijirou only slightly that they might have a chance.
And making him slightly blush again. Though the angry blonde didn't notice such a thing.
"Let's uh...lets just go back to bed, and we'll come up with somethin' tomorrow, yeah?" he planned, standing up and getting into his bunk once again.
The entire time, Eijirou was just scared out of his kind. Sure they had only just met Deku, but he was still a good person and didn't deserve whatever could have been happening to him.
Still shocked, Kirishima fell onto his bed and stared at the bunk above him, allowing his brain to take his conscious mind deep into thought.
'We'll find you, Deku. I promise, man!'
So um...this may or may not be the second to last chapter, y'all....not it's most definitely the second to last, hehe.
I know that this book is only 5 chapters long, and therefore um...not even a story story, but keep in mind...you were warned. It is in fact, a short, short story.
Though on a real quick side note, I hope even tho this book wasn't that long, that you guys still enjoyed reading it and will stick around for future stories!
Considering I have, like, 8 book drafts were set on that... We don't talk about that tho-
And no, Katsuki is not a top in this.
Most definitely not.
Anyways, to have a good day you all shall! ❤️🧡💚
