Katsuki couldn't comprehend what had happened exactly. One second he and his mom were messing around in the little store at the station, and the next he was sifting through what was left of the store to find her.

"Old hag! C'mon, I-I know you're here...fucking a-answer me!" Katsuki screamed, cupping his mouth with his shaking, bloody hands to try and amplify his voice.

Nothing. He got no response, and that only spiked the worry that was building up inside of him. Feeling as though he couldn't waste another second, he tried to look faster, ignoring the immense pain that lit up all over his body when he moved.

After what seemed like hours of searching, Katsuki finally thought he found something. A pale, twitching hand sticking out from under a huge pile of cement hinted at an alive human being that needed help.

'Shit!' Cursing silently, Katsuki used all of the strength he had to move everything off of the person that was buried.

Grasping the last, and heavier piece of carnage, Katsuki hauled it off and set it down next to the barely breathing figure.

Yup, it was definitely his mom.

"Don't worry old hag, I'll get you some help," he whispered to her, for once in his life being gentle with someone. Pulling her up carefully, Katsuki brought his mother's face to his chest and fished for his phone, only to pull it out and find it completely destroyed.

'Fucking fuck!' he frustratedly thought, throwing his phone across the area, and looking around for anything that could help his mom.

Setting her back down gently, and cringing slightly once he heard her raspy cry from the pain, Katsuki got up and looked around the once-existing, utterly demolished convenience store for anything. Anything that could work.

But no matter how observant or thorough he was, Katsuki couldn't find anything. And his impeding situation hit him like a missile.

His mom could bleed out or die from shock if he didn't find something, and soon at that.

Turning around, Katsuki ran back to his suffering mother and picked her up bridal style, trying his best not to worsen anything as he did so.

Walking out of the almost fully collapsed entrance way of the station store, Katsuki was lost. His mother was dying, he was holding onto his own consciousness by a goddamn thread, and the world was in chaos.

What in the hell was he supposed to do?

"Elle! Ma! Guys! Hello, anyone there?! Someone please answer!" Eijirou desperately screamed out, slamming his hands on the ground and screaming bloody murder when he received no answer.

"I can't move this myself, y'know! Someone please help me!" He continued to beg for another minute or so, before giving up asking for help and just putting his all into helping himself.

Even though there was no way he could do anything on his own.

Eijirou had went out to go get the mail after he and his family finished dinner, when a huge explosion went off into the sky, and only thirty seconds later, Kirishima was flown from where he was holding the papers in his hands.

After that it was a blank, and Eijirou had only just woken up to find a huge tree branch that had his left leg trapped, and rendered him motionless. Kirishima had to bend this way and that to avoid flying rubble and whatnot as best as he could, but he still ultimately got hit.

He felt as though that would be the end, that would be the place where Kirishima would end up six feet under, and it twisted something deep in him. Eijirou stopped trying to fruitlessly movethe tree out of the way after countless time spent attempting to, and instead just laid there.

On the side of the side walk, immobilized because of some giant stick, forced to watch as the world burned.

No person that passed by him in a flurry offered their assistance, or even gave him a glance.

Not one person who was busy panicking in the middle of the street took a second to notice Kirishima's helpless self and went to go and offer that shred of hope he oh so needed.

He didn't know if his sister or his mother was okay, he didn't know what his future would hold, if there even was much of it, but Eijirou after awhile couldn't really get himself to care.

About anything. His mind was once again a blank palace that left absolutely everything to the imagination, and he didn't have much of that.

He didn't want to give up. He had worked hard for the past couple years in his life to make sure that giving up wasn't an option in any kind of situation.

He wanted to be the manliest, and bravest person out there. But what was he instead? Redheaded roadkill awaiting the sweet, sweet embrace of the afterlife or whatever came after death at it's doorstep.

Sighing and allowing his eyes to flutter closed, Kirishima slowly but surely allowed himself to slip through the cracks of hopelessness's cold arms, and down into the dark pit of nothingness.

Though before he could spiral down until there was nowhere left to spiral to, Eijirou felt something on his left leg.

Slightly cracking his right eye open, Kirishima was startled completely out of his skin once he saw what was at his feet.

Four men in suits and black wraparound sunglasses with earpieces were lifting the huge tree branch off of his left leg in unison, finally offering the freedom Eijirou had sought out from the start.

Screeching for only a split second, then violently biting down on his lower lip to refrain from letting out anymore screams, Kirishima squeezed his eyes shut and suppressed any hints he could give about the pain he was experiencing.

Drawing blood from his aggressive bite, Eijirou grew uncomfortable at the light coating of iron that tingled his tastebuds, and spat out the excess carmine fluid in disgust.

He didn't really enjoy the flavor blood provided, so he tried to avoid injuries that would lead to him tasting blood as much as he could.

Though there were always slip ups. Like the time with the tree branch.

"W-who are you people?" he shakily asked of the tall, strongly-built males before him.

Chuckling at Kirishima's question, one of the men that had lifted the branch off of the boy shook his head.

"Not a good choice for your one only question privilege, kid. We can't answer that, but we can help you out more," he relayed, looking between his partners and receiving nods of agreement.

Moving his head back and forth rapidly, Kirishima struggled to get back on his two feet-err, one foot, but just ended up falling back on his bottom.

"Whoa there bud, take it easy," another said, holding his hands out and quickly getting Eijirou's side. Slowly and cautiously reaching out to the natural-dark haired teen so that he wouldn't run away, the man motioned helping him up without touching him as a way of asking consent.

Kirishima granted it, but only so he could stand. As soon as he steady his one and half feet, he turned around quickly and limp-ran down the sidewalk.

Sighing heavily and closing his eyes for o ya a moment, the man who had helped Eijirou stand, took the hidden glock he had tucked in his inner-suit pocket out, and pointed it at the speedy redheads back.

"You just had to choose the hard way, didn't you, Eijirou Kirishima?" he ashamedly asked himself, shooting the gun and watching as the boy fell forwards.

'Let's hope this is worth it.'

Sneakily looking around the corner of the small alley him and his barely breathing mother, Katsuki checked to see if there was any immediate threat he had to worry about, only to find nothing but a couple of screaming people on fire and buildings from afar, falling over.

Nodding to himself, Katsuki turned to Mitsuki and knelt next to her, brushing some loose blonde hairs out of her face and kissing her forehead.

"I'm about to kick some fire's ass, so I'll be right back....mom," Katsuki murmured to her, taking a deep breath and walking out of the alley.

He only took a few steps forward before he was in front of the building he'd been looking for for the past hour. His father's work place, of which said male had been in since early, early morning.

At least, that's where he was supposed to be.

Katsuki took another deep breath and bounced up and down while shaking his arms and hands out as a small exercise to ready himself.

Cracking his knuckles, Katsuki told himself "Let's do this" as an encouragement, and he moved to open the door to the burning place, before he was stopped by a deep voice behind him.

"I assume you are looking for Masaru Bakugo?"

Spinning quickly and sizing up the three men that stood before him suddenly, Katsuki puffed out his chest and was already thinking up a strategy to escape with both of his parents and himself breathing.

He said nothing in return and watched as a different guy from the one that spoke up raise his fists in a ready fighting position.

Doing the same, Katsuki smirked as he finalized the last of his plan to bring down the men in black suits that picked the wrong day to screw with him.

"I'm gonna kill you!" he screamed, faking a sprint and punch, only to hear the whistle too late while the guy he lunged at, dodged.

Stopping in his tracks, Katsuki made small choking noises and slapped the side of neck, feeling some sort of dart sticking out of it, and pulling it out too late.

Falling on his back, Katsuki's eyes rolled to the back of his head while the guy that had blown the dart at him unpeeled from around the same alley corner he was previously looking from as well.

Two of the men went to pick Katsuki up from under his arms and feet, when the man who shot the dart spoke up.

"Should I carry the mom, or do you want to help, Markus?"

Oh wow, another chapter already?? I'm telling you guys, this book only just started, and I'm ready for it to end already XD

Don't get me wrong, I enjoy writing for it, but I kinda am just like, really excited for the ending since I don't think anyone will be able to guess what I have in store until the last second ;D

Anyways, that's all I have for now, and,
I hope you guys have the wonderfulest of daysss~ ❤️🧡💚
