Introduction
I was sitting at my desk at the Tachibana residence, typing on my computer. I was doing a research project for my science class, trying to find different plants that were poisonous. I typed some things into the search bar as I looked some more. "Ok" I said, as I clicked on a link. I started to read and take notes. My project was to describe how to find poisons things in the woods and what they looked like. I knew that I went in the woods once with everyone, back when we tried to fight our parents. By our I'm meaning Aaron, Max and I. We were like the three stooges, as Lindo described us as being. Ever since Aaron and Max came into the world, we've been fighting everything and anything. We were helping each other when our parents tried to take over the human world, which was harder than we thought. I scrolled a little bit, as I took some more notes, then went back to do my research. I sighed as I stopped to study my notes again. I huffed in frustration as I held my head, trying not to get to frustrated. A knock came on the door, as Lindo opened up. He was in his mother's apron, holding a plate of something. "You ready for supper?" he asked, as I looked at the computer. "I shouldn't stop working. Still have a lot of work to do" I said, as I looked back at my papers, flipping through my notes. "That's alright. We're aloud to have food in the bedroom" he said, as he walked in and put the plate in a clear spot on the desk. I sighed as I looked at the plate. Chicken, potatoes, gravy and a roll sat on it, in an exact circle. Steam still rose from the plate, as it hit the roof. I sighed as I shut my monitor off and moved the keyboard, making room for the plate. Lindo stayed in the room with me as he spoke. "You working hard?" he asked as I nodded. "It's just science. It's not hard enough to work hard" I said, as he smiled. "But your working harder, right?" he asked as I nodded. "I guess" I said, as I took a bite of the food. I sighed as I looked back at the computer, thinking of anything else to write about. "Homework is hard" I said, as I took another bite of the food. Lindo smiled as he shook his head. "Take a break. The project isn't due this week. You've been working since you came home from school" he said as I sighed. "Alright, I will" I said, as I took another bite of the food.
I looked up as I saw Lindo staring at me. "What?" I asked, as he tilted his head. "Don't kill yourself with your homework. Your dad would probably tell you the same" he said, as I sighed. I looked at my computer, while I thought of my dad. He hasn't been in the human world in a while and when he was, he tried to take it over for my grandfather. I sighed as I nodded, knowing it would've been true. "Yeah, he would've made me by taking my computer. Then have me walk Roen, just to get out of the house" I said, with a sigh. Lindo smiled as he chuckled a bit. "Yeah, that's defiantly something he would do" he said as I ate a little bit. I sighed as I looked out the window in thought. "I wonder what their doing now" I said, more to myself than Lindo. Lindo shifted over as he sighed. "Do you miss your dad?" he asked, as I nodded. "It's confusing. I do miss him, but I know the world is safe now. He said he wanted to protect me, but I fell like there was more to it. It was like he wanted to take over this world, and put it under the Arlond air's control. But I don't know why." I sighed as I took another look at my homework. I sighed as I put the fork down and held my hands in fists.
"But I know one thing. I will never let anyone take over the human world. Not a devil, or a vampire. This world belongs to you humans, and that's it. We shouldn't be getting humans involved" I said, as I started to feel my hatred again. I studied my fists as I watched them shake in anger. I felt like crying just because I was so angry for a moment. I sighed as I felt a hand on my shoulder, as I looked over at Lindo. He looked at me with a sad look on his face. He sighed as he spoke. "Ella, I don't think your dad's going to take over again. He's gone into your world now, and who knows when they'll come back. Plus, if he was going to take over again. Wouldn't they take you, Aaron and Max with them?" he asked, as I looked at him. "That might be a sign. But Aaron and I are focusing on school and who knows where Max ended up. After my dad left with the rest of the committee, Max suddenly disappeared. No one knows what happened to him. Not even Aaron" I said, with a sigh. Lindo nodded as to agree with the statement. "That's probably true. Back when we were hiding in the shelter, it looked like Max was harmless. He looked like he hated his dad" he said, as I nodded.
"He does. But no one knows why" I said, as I took a bite of the food again. I looked out the window, as I thought of Max. I was thinking of how he just randomly ended up missing, right after dad left. "What if they took Max back to their world? Or worse" I said, as I started to get depressed. Lindo looked at me as anger grew in his voice. "Ella, don't say that. You are just kids, just like Ritska is" he said, as I looked back at him. "Do you know where Ritska is now? What if my dad's tracking her? Didn't you say that she was the Grimore?" I asked as Lindo sighed. "She was. But the Grimore is destroyed. Both Ritska and your dad destroyed it" he said, as I sighed. "How do you know that?" I asked as Lindo looked at me. "Because I was there through the whole thing" he said, as I sighed. I settled down as I sat back down. I sighed as I turned to look out the window. I sat there, studying the light that peeked through the window. "Is that why the vampires were on this world too?" I asked, as Lindo nodded. "Yeah, they were" he said, as I sighed. "But, if the Grimore was destroyed. Why did that vampire come after me last time?" I asked, as I looked at him. I stared at Lindo in the eye as he sighed. "I don't know exactly. All I know is that the vampires and the devils don't get along, because of the Grimore. But for a vampire to attempt kidnapping a devil's child, I don't know that" he said, as I got up and looked out the window. I kept thinking of my dad and what they were doing at the moment. "Lindo, what do you think my dad's up to right now?" I asked, as Lindo sighed. "I don't know. I haven't talked with him since they left this world" he said, as I looked at my night stand.
I walked over and sat on my bed. I picked up the teddy bear that Shiki made me last time I saw them. I smiled as I held the creepy bear in my hands. "I wonder if they'll ever come back. Or if they'll just stay in the immortal realm" I said as I clenched the bear to my chest. "I don't know Ella. It's been two years now. But I bet they'll come back" he said, as I sighed. "I hope so" I said, as the doorbell rang. Lindo got up as he exited the bedroom to get it. "Thanks Lindo. My hands are full" Aaron's voice said, as he entered the house. I stayed silent as I heard the boys talk. I sighed as a knock came on the door. "Hey, Ella" Aaron said as I turned around. I sighed before I spoke. "Hi" I said in a down tone, as I looked at the teddy bear. Aaron wrapped his arms around me, as he squeezed me tightly in his arms. "They'll be back. Now that we're here, they have a reason to come back" he said, as I nodded. "I know. But what if" I said, as I heard Ritska scream. Both Aaron and I shot out of my room and ran outside with Lindo.
We looked around to find both Ritska and Azuna, crouching in a corner with a vampire cornering them. "HEY! GET OFF THEM!" Lindo yelled as he lunged towards the vampire. Lindo looked at the girls as he spoke. "Ritska, Azuna. Get in the house, now" he said, as they both ran into the house. I looked at Aaron as we both nodded. Aaron extended his wings, which shined in the light. They didn't look that different. But they did have more of a navy blue, then black. They were now half blue, half black. I couldn't stop staring at them, knowing that they were more designed than before. I sat in my spot, as I wonder why they were more blue. Was it meaning that he was good? I broke out of my gaze, as a arm was wrapped around me and a knife was to my throat. "ELLA!" Lindo screamed, as I stayed still. "Oh, what do we have here?" the vampire said, as I looked at it. It had long black hair and beating red eyes. He was strongly built, but I didn't know why. I sighed as I put my hands up to his knees. I froze them strait, as I leaned forward and kicked them. They snapped, letting the vampire fall on his back, stiff as can be. I took a deep breath as I made the ice rise, cocooning the vampire still.
The three of us stood around the vampire as he struggled under the ice. "What do you think your doing?" Lindo asked it as the vampire struggled. "Now that the air is gone. We have a chance of getting the girl" he said as Lindo looked at him. "What are you meaning?" he asked, as the vampire spoke again. "Their about to return. Then the human world is either going to be a vampire's property or a devils" he said, as he broke the ice with his fang. "Looks like I can't take what I need yet. I'll be back when the night rises again" the vampire said as he left, making the air silent. A cool breeze passed through to where the ice was, brushing us with a chill. I huffed as I thought to myself. "What was he talking about?" I asked, as Lindo shook his head. "I don't know. But the vampire king is back, which is strange. Let's get into the house, before more show up" he said, as we turned to walk back in. I turned around as I heard a car pull up. The three of us turned to think it was Ritska coming home, but we found a limo that wasn't normal. It was longer than my dad's was. It wasn't black like a normal limo. This was a dark red, the shade of blood. Even the windows was shaded red, not showing anyone in the car. It slowly strolled by us in silence, then stopped. No one came out of it, it just sat there. "You should get inside. Come on" Lindo said, as we got in and looked out the window. The limo sat there for a few moments, then drove off into the night. "Who was that?" Aaron asked as Lindo shrugged. "I don't know. It didn't seem like a regular limo, so who knows" he said, as I sighed. "It wasn't dad's limo. He still has the same one" I said, a I sighed. Lindo sighed as he spoke. "Let's just get ready for the night. We'll figure it out tomorrow" he said, as we nodded and went to do our own things.
