Rearranged (@MorningStar1399)
Rearranged
Trapped in a cage
With the doors sealed shut
No more can I stand
While my breath is sucked away...
Breath is sucked away.....
Can't break free,
They've learned from my attempts
To flee—
Always on the watch for my escape,
But I think it's now too late...
It's now too late....
But maybe I
Am supposed to die here
And that way make a change.
Losing every time,
Powerless to change the tide.
But maybe if I die I'll make a change,
Or at least have our places
Rearranged.
It's not a cage, but a jar,
And the lid's been clasped too tight.
The reason there is light
Is so I can't see the night—
I can't see the night.
But there's no way out—
Permanently sealed my fate
Away inside a jar of my own hate.
And there's no turning back...
No there's no turning back now....
But maybe I
Am supposed to die here
And that way make a change.
Losing every time,
Powerless to change the tide.
But maybe if I die I'll make a change,
Or at least have our places
Rearranged.
And I
I know what I must do,
But I'll leave it up to you.
I have to make this change,
Even if it means my life is
In exchange.
Can you help me out?
I cannot take a breath.
My chest is stiff,
My eyes are dark,
And I'm about to take a
Change for the worse...
But maybe I
Am supposed to die here
And that way make a change.
Losing every time,
Powerless to change the tide.
But maybe if I die I'll make a change,
Or at least have our places
Rearranged
So you're not trapped here anymore
And it's me who cannot
Walk out of that door.
Let's have our places rearranged
So you will not be
Be estranged
From everything you love.
For everything I've lost
This was heavily inspired by Sylvia Plath and her semi-autobiographical novel The Bell Jar.I've paid for...I've paid for....
