BESSA : Silks
It's funny how the elements shift,
the movement of energy unseen
from raging wind and rain with thunderous cacophony
to the WAR of two souls in SILENCE.
Her ways are set in gold and silk,
Stitches that testify to Her parents' sacrifice
But He will never see Her family's greatest treasure unveiling Her flesh.
He left Her family to suffer for the humiliation Her alpha felt.
Her heart hurts for the bride-debt not paid
in blood and death and taken soil,
Her alpha's price was not gold, but war.
His ways are set in the Arsenal of War;
Their pack will never stand or fight in front of another alpha.
The army of the Far North is not for trade to the unworthy.
His conviction is as unbending as iron.
We do not fight for anyone.
Her Wild answers His tones of WAR in agreement
The storm rages between Them as cheeks touch
But Her human heart beats in its shield of bone,
Knowing that the debt must be paid.
The storm outside is abated
as the turmoil within grows.

The inspection of Her Lineage reminds Her of home
Each one hung on smoothed cedar with reverance
The trees of the fruit that filled Her youth.
A flower's first bloom made after Her first shift.
Olive tree for cooking and skin oils.
Dates filled with goat cheese and basil leaf for morning meals.
Flowers fully open on the Silk to proclaim the life she will someday carry.
The twining vines and leaves of seduction on one to teach Him the fruit of Her body.
It's a fig tree, She speaks of eating from Her mother's tree, to not reveal this Silk's purpose.
Telling Him of fruit filled with almond paste and drizzled in honey, Her favorite.
She can almost taste the memory.
He is standing too close to Her, whispering promises.
Her interrogation begins again.
"Did you ever feed her honey?"
His Silence answers Her again.
The sweetness from her memories turns bitter.
Her pain speaks stinging words as His heartbeat pulls away.
"I never want honey to be brought into this house."
