Chapter 1

Lucinda was walking to lunch with her best friend, Peter Parker. She sat down and smiled, opening her lunchbox.

"Do you want any Oreos?"

Peter nodded quickly and Luci handed him a few Oreos.

"Thanks, Lu," Peter smiled before munching on the Oreos he was given.

"That's what bestfriends are for," Luci beamed and Ned sat down.

"Have you seen Liz today, Peter?" Ned said with a grin.

"Yeah. She is so beautiful. I'm gonna date her one day," Peter sighed dreamily and Luci giggled.

"Good luck with that Petey," Luci teased him which made him blush.

"I hope to have luck," Peter said confidently.

"How's your brother by the way?" Peter asked curiously.

"Orion is okay. He calls us sometimes but he is happy with uncle Malachi and aunt Ashlynn," Luci smiled as she ate.

"Tell him I said hi and that I'm gonna get a girlfriend," Peter said cheekily.

"I'll tell him you are a dreamer."

"Hey!"

🕷

Six years had past and now Luci was the most popular girl in school, even more so than Liz. She had the highest grades, she had been the lead in that years musical, and she became captain of the Decathlon team, taking the position from Liz. She had done it all to impress Peter but none of it was working.

She had fallen hard for her best friend and she wanted him to fall for her too.

However, Liz seemed to be the center of his world and it was unchanging.

As Luci walked down the hall she went up behind Peter and put another note inside the side pocket asking him to come to the park after school. Lucinda had asked him to dinner and the movies so many times but every time it was the same answers, 'I'm busy or 'Not tonight'. Peter never directly told her that she was being rejected because he wanted to be with Liz though even though she knew in her heart that it was because he likes Liz.

She went to math, last period of the day and sat next to Peter.

"Hey, Peter," She smiled at him and he flashed a quick smile.

"Hey, Luci. Did you see the new video of Frost on YouTube? She's so gorgeous."

As Peter said that, her heart rate sped up. "I bet it's Liz or at least I hope it's Liz." Then her heart broke.

"I didn't see it. I'll check it out later," Luci took the work sheet from her teacher and started to get to work.

"I like Spiderman more though. He's a true hero," Luci sighed softly, knowing Peter didn't know that she knew he was Spiderman.

Lucinda was thinking about if Peter would come to the park but she honestly doubted it. She debated on going and waiting at the park even though she knew deep down it was useless.

The class ended and they put their homework sheet away. Luci was about to turn and talk to Peter but he was rushing out the door.

She figured he would do patrol and wouldn't think twice about her. She put a smile on her face and left school before she went into an alleyway.

Luci made a snow wall and ran through it before she came out the other side in her suit and mask. Her hair and skin were pure white while her eyes were still an icy blue.

She flew up onto the building and saw Spidey swinging towards her. She knew that it was Peter but that was only because Tony had told her but she didn't tell Peter that she knows. She also never told him that she was Frostbite because Tony had told her not to.

"Hey, Frost, what's up?" Spiderman swung up and landed next to her and she sighed.

"Not much..." She said softly, knowing that if he was here, he clearly wasn't at the park, just as she suspected.

"I had a really good day. My friend didn't ask me out again today."

Frost's heart clenched as she spoke, "oh, is she a problem for you?"

"I mean, I don't want to date her. She's great and all but she's just my friend, my bestfriend... though to be honest, she's not even really my bestfriend anymore," Spidey shrugged as he looked around around.

Frostbite froze when she heard that and bit her lip slightly.

"Why not?" She asked and he sighed.

"She asks me out all the time and it's annoying. She's a great girl but, I don't want to hang around her anymore because I feel weird knowing she likes me and I'll never feel the same way about her."

'Never...' Frost thought to herself.

"I really only consider her a friend still because we grew up together. I would feel awful telling her that I don't want to be her friend anymore but..." Spidey sighed and Frost felt the tears welling in her eyes.

"Oh... well uh... I have to go. Mr. Stark wants me home early today. See ya."

She flew off quickly, knowing she was about to cry. As soon as she was away from him, she let out a sob and raced to the tower.

🇺🇸

Steve was speaking with Tony and Kaylanna when his daughter burst in.

She ran straight to her dad and sobbed into his chest as she trembled.

"Sweetie, what's wrong?" Steve asked with worry and he clutched his precious ice crystal close to him as she sobbed.

"P-Peter... I-I... I just want to be with him but he said that he only considers me a friend because we grew up together but h-he said that he doesn't really want me to be his friend anymore. It hurts, daddy. It really hurts," Lucinda trembled and Tony growled, wishing he could do something.

Blinded by his anger, Tony grabbed his phone. He hugged Luci and then left to call Peter.

"Kid, I'm shutting you down right now!" He said sternly and Peter gasped.

"What?! Why?! I haven't done anything wrong?!" Peter defended.

"I don't have to tell you why," He hung up and shut Peter's suit down. He hated seeing Lucinda cry and Peter caused her to cry. Tony was pissed off at Peter right now.

"Tony, that really isn't necessary," his fiancé, Kaylanna, said from behind him.

"He made Luci cry. I don't care."

🕷

Peter walked home utterly confused. He tried to swing home but since his his web slingers were connected to the suit, they weren't working.

"What did I do? I followed every rule I was given."

He went into his room, not even talking to Aunt May. He flumped on his bed and groaned.

He saw a note sticking out of his backpack pocket. He opened it and read the note.

'Hey Peter, meet me at the park after school, I'll be waiting. Please come, I really want to be with you. Just consider it, please. Hopefully I'll see you at the park.
Love, Lucinda'

Peter crumpled up the note and threw it in the recycling before getting an idea to get her to stop asking him out.
