They suddenly hear a car approaching. Zappa knows he can't be seen, so he runs to find a good hiding spot. Isabelle runs out of the barn, when she hears the cars coming on the property.

They're here for him, she thinks. Of course they are. Two police officers come out of the vehicle and go straight to Isabelle.

"Excuse me miss, would you have a minute, we have some questions to ask you." She swallows hard, but nods.

"We have reported a strange event this afternoon right before we arrived here would you have witnessed anything unusual today?" She frowns, and shakes her head.

"No, nothing out of the ordinary, I was mostly just at the farm taking care of the animals." Both officers nod and sigh. Isabelle's lie worked, and she is quite proud of herself for keeping it together.

As the officers were about to get back in their car, Isabelle's father comes out and is drunk out of his mind. She thought he'd be asleep but apparently he wasn't.

"What the hell is this Isabelle? You called the cops on me?"

Oh no, Isabelle thought. The officers turn back and walk towards the drunk man. Isabelle cannot believe her father just made things more difficult.

They were about to leave! She couldn't believe this.

"Sir is everything alright?" One of the officers asked vigilantly.

"Everything is fine, you can leave my property now." Isabelle's father was very harsh, and it didn't give any reason for the cops to leave. They stayed there observing the drunk man. Isabelle didn't know what to do. She decided to bring her father back inside the house to make sure he wouldn't cause any trouble. But as she was pulling on his arm, he swung himself free and pushed Isabelle on the ground.

"Don't touch me Isabelle!" The officers reacted quickly and got her father under control.

"Sir, we're going to ask you to come with us, we have a few questions to ask concerning this afternoon." The officer put the aggressive man in the back of the car and brought him to the police station. Isabelle was alone and on the ground, wondering if her father would be okay. It makes sense that they would arrest him with his bad behavior. It could be quite suspicious especially with the strange thing that happened this afternoon. The cops are trying to find someone to blame, someone strange that might have come from elsewhere in the universe. Isabelle's father wasn't that, but the police didn't know that and he was being weird, so they took him.

He is probably better off there anyways, a little voice in the back of her mind said.
