This book is a way to express my feelings and concern over issues I m really passionate about😊 This was indeed going to be my first piece of writing for watty but then the Ragsan story happened 😁😁

For those of you who know me, I m a Masters psychology student and also a strong feminist😎 I m also very observant and considering my academic and other exposure, have become a little more sensitized on some issues😊

So I m writing this book to express my thoughts on a series of topics that will address problematic aspects in romantic novels or stories of today. It may also consist of my psychological insight or my two cents on romance and its portrayal😁

Over the years in my course of academics I have come across and been sensitized to violence and harassment toward women and its portrayal in popular culture. While these issues itself are a topic of concern, what is more problematic for me and for all of us I feel is that how popular culture ( society,media) normalised such behaviour towards women thus making it a complex issue.
In simple words, our movies, TV soaps , books portray violence and harassment towards women in a manner that readers don't question it. In fact they condition you in a way to think that there is nothing wrong in whatever is happening and you should accept the way things are. Especially with romantic movies and stories where this problematic behaviour is made to seem romantic so that in future if it happens with the woman, u accept and don't question it at all.

So in the coming updates/chapters I m going to decode the issues in romantic novels which I consider problematic and why I consider them to be so 😊

I know this is a serious topic not fun as the fictions or books we read online but it is something I consider extremely important so here I am😊
