Simple Talks and Tricks
+Mystery Shack: Ford's Lab+
Dominic and William had been separated for awhile so the brunet could take to Ford in private. William was left in the care of reincarnated friends much to his dislike.
"So Dominic..." Ford started out, it was kinda hard to speak to this person who was and isn't his great nephew. "My first question would be the relationship between you and William. Just to clear up somethings that I read in a person's journal who kept track of him. She went by the name Blair."
"Yes, I remember her, she was William's assistant." He smiled remembering the cheerful woman. "So about William and I's relationship..." He thought for a moment. "Well we weren't good friends at first, whenever we saw each other we'd always wanna go avoid the other or annoy the heck out of them. That is until one day something happened that made us put aside our fighting."
Ford got curious. "That is?"
"We were practically forced by our friends to have a bonding trip together. We weren't keen on becoming friends, but we eventually talked to each other. We found many likes that were common between us that we never knew." The teen smiled fondly at his hands on his laps. "During our trip I got severely injured by one of the wild animals. I thought I would've died on the spot, thankfully William was there to help me. He saved me. So we've been friends ever since that day before Blair came into our friend group." He told the old man who wrote it down in his notebook.
"I see..." Ford mumbles as he writes more. "I know this is rude of me to ask Dominic, but do you know who killed you?"
The teen didn't smile anymore and his handles were clasped together. "I was in my room doing some paper work for William's up coming show. I knew William and Blair would be coming back home soon, so when I heard someone knock on the door I told them it was open. I didn't expect to find someone else there. He wore all black, I don't remember his face all to clearly. He walked up to my desk and looked me over..." He rubbed his thumb over the back of his hand as his voice got sadder. "We talked, I took his words calmly. He was truthful to everything he told me. The man had stated he has come to kill me..."
Ford frowned at how Dominic took his last moments.
"I was okay, I knew it was okay. I was wrong, I knew it wasn't okay of me to be faking it. I just sat there with a smile on my face and took it. I gave up my life." The brunet says.
"Why?! You could have called for help, anything to prevent that." The old man raised his voice at first and got out of his seat, but he calmed down to Dominic's small smile.
"I was happy... I was so so happy Stanford, but," he sighed heavily like large weights were finally were taken off his shoulders, "I couldn't take the burden of pain anymore."
Ford stood there speechless, he gave sympathy to the teen. "I apologize."
Dominic shook his head and smiled a bit more. "You need not to be sorry Stanford. There was no one at fault, but myself..."
"Dominic I really apologize for everything. I feel as if everything is our fault, you shouldn't blame yourself."
The teen chuckled a little when he saw the man who stood before him. He was still wearing his costumes so he saw Stallone in front of him and he thought, even if it was just for a moment, that the man was actually there apologizing to him. "Alright, I understand, I'll try not to blame it on myself anymore."
Ford now mirrored Dominic's smile.
"Shall we continue on then Stanford?" The teen earned a nod from the other and they continued on.
+With William and the Gang+
William sat at the table in the living room with his foot tapping the floor impatiently. He worried about Dominic so much and wanted to protect him, but where was he now, sitting up in the living room and not next to the said teen.
Mabel and here friends looked at Bill or rather William obviously impatiently waiting for Dominic to come back up from the lab with Ford. So they thought they should probably distract William a bit and pass the time with him.
"Hey William!" Mabel called the blond out of his thoughts.
William stopped tapping his foot and turned to look at the brunette. "What do you want Shooting Star?"
"I just wanted to know if you wanted to play a game with us." She says walking up next to William's side. "It'll be fun."
William rolled his eyes. "I know what your doing Shooting Star and it's not gonna work. I'm not gonna warm up to any of you even if we do something bonding together." He told Mabel with annoyance. He waved his hand and a deck of card papered in his hands. With skilled hands did he shuffle the cards and fly up and back into his hands in a neat stack that he performed without his powers.
Stan whistled and came over. "You know how to play cards kid? How about you and I play a round of poker?" Amazed by William's handy work with cards.
"I'm not a kid Fez, I way older than you. Plus I performed magic back in the days when I used to be human. So of course I'm well coordinated with my hands and eyes. That includes my quick thinking if something unexpected happens." He held his left hand out and bent the other cards in his right hand to fly to his other hand, just when they were about to end did he clap his hands together making it one deck again. He held up 5 cards to Mabel. "Go ahead and pick one."
Mabel looked between the cards and William. 'Maybe going through magic tricks with him might work out.' She thought and reached out to pluck up the chosen card. "Now what do I do?"
"Show the card to someone so you have a witness. Then place the card back in the deck." William told her as he picked at another card deck he made appear.
She showed Pacifica and Wendy her card. The Queen of Hearts, one that would represent herself. Mabel placed the card back in the red pile and William shuffled it a bit before setting it back down on the table and covering it with a handkerchief. The group, now around the table watching him perform his little show, had been watching for every detail of the male's hand movements to make sure if he was tricking them.
William picked up the blue deck and gave them a show of his shuffling tricks. "Give me a number Star." He told Gideon who was surprised by the call.
"5." Gideon simply says.
The demon picked up 5 cards again like he did in the beginning. This time he showed Mabel the back side of the cards to not let her see what cards he had gotten. "Pick one card out and give it to someone who's been through a lot, but don't let them look at them see what's on it."
She reached out her hand and picked up the blue card on the far left. Mabel gave it to McGucket. She patted him on the back and he nodded at her.
"Now pick another one and give it to some one you admire." William told her with his chin resting on his propped up hand.
Mabel chose one of the middle cards and gave it to Pacifica. They both smiled at each other.
"Another card to choose for the one you look up too."
The brunette chose the far right card and gave it to Stan who grinned and ruffled her hair. They both laughed.
William let a gentle smile slip into his face. "Give one cared to two people who had helped you."
She picked the right blue card, pulled Soos and Wendy next to each other, then brought each of their hands to hold onto the card. They smiled at her warmly. Mabel looked back at William, who held one lad card in his hand.
"Nice job Shooting Star." He flipped the last card around to show her the result. The Queen of Hearts rested between his middle and index finger. Not just that, there was also a picture of her in a queen of heart's costume smiling and happily hugging Waddles. "Now you guys flip your cards and see what's on them." Looking at the selected people who had cards.
They flipped them over and to their surprise found a picture of themselves on it with their symbol. They were even wearing different clothing of medieval times. Soos a Knight, Wendy a Knight, Stan the Royal Guard, McGucket the Scribe, and Pacifica a Princess.
"Shooting Star has shown the truth with those cards she gave you. She did not lie to the purpose of those cards." William told them. He snapped his fingers and the cards flew back to the blue deck of card. "With that note my trick is over." He continued to play with his cards and the group continued to watch. Every so often William would still perform a trick or two with them.
Then everyone heard the door opening to find Dominic and Ford come up with smiles to greet them. William was the first to go over to them and grab the brunet teen.
"Are you okay? Are you hurt? I swear I will-" Dominic cut him off from his sentence with a kiss to the blond's cheek.
"Relax William, I'm fine, all Stanford's questions were simple and easy to answer. So don't worry yourself to much about me." William remained silent after the kiss on the cheek which made Dominic laugh a bit. He looked back to Ford. "If you have any other questions please let me know. I'll be glad to answer them."
Ford nodded, "I will, thank you Dominic."
William got out of his silent state and held onto Dominic's arm. "Let go hangout somewhere Dominic! It's boring here."
"Okay, okay. Let go then." William was the first out of the house. Dominic looked at the the others. "We'll just be around the town. We should be back before it gets dark."
"Stay safe you two." Stan said to the teen.
Dominic nodded and left to follow William.
+Gravity Falls: Park+
"Hey Dominic?"
"Yes William."
"I feel like having a performance right now." William leaned his head to rest against the other's shoulder. Their holding hands squeezing each other gently.
Dominic smiled a the thought of the blond performance again. A crowd giving William confidence and happiness like before.
"Then shall we start setting up the stage?"
