Questioning Bill

+Morning+

"Bill."

"I don't want too!"

"Bill it's not like I'm gonna hurt you."

"No!"

Ford was trying to get Bill to answer his questions, but the demon wasn't cooperating with him. The man sighed and shook his head. Guess he'll need Dipper's help for this. "Dipper! I need your assistance in the living room please!"

Running footsteps down the stairs answered his call and Dipper appeared in the door way looking between the two. "What's up Great Uncle Ford?"

"I've finished ready my through the book. So I thought I might as well try to jog Bill's memory by asking him some questions. Could you get him to answer me?" Ford said as he sat on the chair.

Dipper nodded and went over to Bill. "Come on Bill, it probably won't be that bad. He'll just ask you a few question and leave you alone for the time being until he needs something else." He smiled as Bill sat across from Ford who smiled with the compliance. "Thank you."

"This because your telling me to do this PineTree." Bill mumbled to himself. He looked at Ford who had his small note book and pen ready. "So the faster we do this, the faster I can get away from you?"

"Yes Bill, just answer truthfully and you can go after with no problems." Ford replied.

Bill grinned, "Then ask away Sixer!"

"Okay, I'll say some names. I want you to tell me how you feel." Ford told the dream demon. He saw Dipper place his phone on the table for some reason, but he didn't mind it. Bill nodded and Ford started to say a name. "How do you feel about the name Ravie?"

"A bit mad and cold." Bill said instantly.

"Courtney?"

"Same thing as the name Ravie."

"Atica?"

"Betrayed and lonely." Bill told the old man.

"Stella?"

"Betrayed and sad."

"Stallone."

"Angry and cold."

"Sylvester."

"Deceived and angry."

"Leon."

"Sad and unworthy."

"McCarter."

"Sad and a little cold."

"Luke."

"Sorry and sad." Bill shook his head when he started feeling dizzy, even some weird images of people flashed in his mind, when the names went by. "Sixer, what the heck is going on?! Why are you asking me these questions?" Ford was too focus in writing down Bill's responses so the blond turned to Dipper. "Do you know PineTree?"

Dipper smiled sadly at Bill who calmed down a bit. "I know what's happening too Bill. It's better if you just try to remember your past."

Bill stayed silent after Dipper's answer. Thought he was feeling a bit light headed and his vision was getting a bit blurry. He tried his best to stay upright and conscious because he felt like he was gonna blackout.

"Okay one more name and your good to go Bill." Ford says.

The blond nods and taps his finger on the table.

"Dominic."

Bill stilled and his eyes blurred more, his head not feeling to well. "D-Dom-inic..." He saw a smiling image of a brunet, but his eyes were covered by a shadow.

'Stay safe William.'

The next thing he new was darkness welcoming him with open arms.

+2 Hours Later+

The dream demon groaned as he started to wake up. His eyes fluttered open and he slowly sat up. He was on a bed? Bill brought a hand up to his forehead and found a wet towel on it. 'Did I faint?' He thought. Bill slowly sat up on the bed and looked around. "I'm in PineTree's room." He mumbled to himself. His hand touched something close to him and he found a sleeping Dipper on his side. His upper half was on the bed while his lower body was on the floor close to the tub of water.

Dipper groaned at the light movements that Bill made on the bed. "Bill?" He says tiredly.

"Yeah kid, I'm awake. What happened? I feel like I got hit with a crowbar or something like that."

"You passed out after Great Uncle Ford was asking you somethings. You were out like a light for-" He checked his watch. "Two hours at the most." Dipper took the wet towel from Bill's fore head and put it in the small tub of water. "Are you feeling okay now?"

Bill nodded to assure Dipper he was okay. "I'm fine now PineTree, don't worry!" He grinned at the brunet. The dream demon got off the bed and Dipper stood up.

"Are you sure Bill? Because Great Uncle Ford still wants me to get the answer to the last name he said." Dipper cautiously said to try and not get Bill overloaded again.

"Say it PineTree! I'll be fine." He says confidently.

"Okay I'll say the name and you just tell me what that name means and feels to you."

Bill nodded and waited for Dipper to say it.

"Dominic." Dipper tells the other softly.

Again, Bill's mind brought up an image of a smiling brunet, but he couldn't see the person's eyes. "I... Kinda feel like I should remember that name like it's important. I feel extremely happy, yet a bit sad. I'm got another feeling, but I can seem to understand it, it's kinda fluttery."

The brunet wrote it down and on on a piece of paper and smiled. "Okay thanks Bill. Why don't you go talk to Mabel about that last feeling. She's the expert on human feelings in the family." He chuckled as he headed for the door. "Make sure to rest after it, okay?"

"Yeah yeah PineTree, I got it." After Dipper left, Bill decided to rest a bit before going to Mabel.

+Mabel's Room+

Mabel was playing with Waddles when she heard a knock on her door. "The door is open! Come in!" She giggled.

The door open and she saw Bill standing in her doorway. "Hey Shooting Star!"

"Hi Bill, what brings you to my room?" She asked as she set her pet pig on the floor. Mabel stood up and walked over to him.

Bill rubbed the back of his neck smiling. "Well you see Shooting Star, I was asked some questions earlier by Ford. I kinda ended up fainting in the end of it so I couldn't really answer the last question. I told PineTree my answer an couple seconds ago and there was this one feeling I couldn't describe." He sighed and looked at Mabel. "What I'm trying to say is I came to you since you so seem to know a lot about human emotions. Plus Dipper suggested I come talk to you."

Mabel had a really big grin on her face as Bill finished talking. She took Bill over to her swivel chair and let his sit on it. Then she took out a small notepad and pen, now standing in front of him. "Okay Bill. Hit me with that feeling. Describe it for me."

"Okay, so when I told him how I felt about his name, I kinda described it as fluttery." Bill told her as his cheeks were dusted with a bit of pink. "I get this warm feeling inside and I get his image in my mind of him, but I can't seem to remember his eyes." He tells her as she continues to write stuff down. She nods for him to go on. "He feels important and I get the sense that I'm not suppose to lose him again. That's all Shooting Star."

"Hmmm...." Mabel hums as she goes over the writing she wrote. Analyzing the data she got which was just drawings of cute kittens and hearts. "Bill, you have a serious case of love going on in you." She told him firmly and bluntly.

Bill fell of his chair and looked up at Mabel. "L-Love?! Demons don't fall in love Shooting Star!"

"Well it might have been before you became a demon." She tells the other calmly while remembering the events of looking into Bill's dreams.

"I was never a human though."

Mabel rolled her eyes. "Listen to me Bill and trust me on this." She tells him with a sorry expression. "The reason your back here, with us, with everyone is because of that book we found in the library."

"You mean the one PineTree gave me when I came back and said it was mine?" He saw her nod her head. "But I don't remember that book Shooting Star. I can't remember..."

Mabel put a hand on his shoulder. "Its okay Bill, just sleep on it for today. You can read the book for yourself tomorrow and see if it brings back any memories. Alright?"

Bill agreed and got up from his seat. "Thanks for helping me, kind of, Shooting Star." He thanked her and messed her hair up a bit.

She laughed and fixed her hair. There was both a sense of familiarity between them as they did that. "No problem Bill! Just take everything easy for now. See you later." Mabel said as she watched him leave.

"Hopefully you remember your past self Bill. You're struggling and we can all see it."

+Dipper's Room+

Bill got back into PineTree's room to rest like he had told him to do earlier. He crawled onto Dipper's bed and lays motionless on it. "Was I really human before becoming a demon?" He asked himself quietly. The blond shook his head and settled into the comfy mattress. The familiar scent of PineTree lulled him to sleep. Dreaming of the brunet male he would not remember later. In his sleep he could feel someone patting his head.

'Sweet dreams William.'

Hours past until night was dawned upon the sky.

Dipper went up to his room to find Bill still resting like he told him to. He smiled and went over to the bed. He pulled the covers over the sleeping dream demon careful not to wake him. He patted Bill's head.

"Sweet dreams Bill."
