Just Dominic and William
+The Next Day+
Bill and Dipper decided to eat at the diner since they woke up a bit earlier than the family. They freshened themselves up and walked out of the shack together. The walk there wasn't to far and they had a somewhat good conversation going.
When they got to the diner, they sat themselves in a booth. Lazy Susan came up to them and handed them the menus.
"Hey boys! What can I get you this fine morning?" She smiled at them.
"I'll have the usual pancakes Lazy Susan." Dipper told her, giving back the menu.
Bill looked really hard at the menu, like he was trying to burn holes into it.
Dipper looked back at Lazy Susan with a awkward smile. "Give him a moment, he's kinda new to this."
She waved her hand. "No problem, I'll be back later after I make your order dear." Lazy Susan laughed as she walked away.
The brunet watched Bill again. "So have you found something you like Bill, or do I have to decide for you."
Bill merely hummed and closed the menu. "I know you human's need substances to give you energy, but I still think this is ridiculous." He laughed. "But I think I found one."
Lazy Susan came around again and got Bill's order. What did he order? Well... Let's say he ordered some "killer" pancakes.
Dipper and Bill talked about what they should do after they ate and managed to find something. The brunet wanted Bill to get use to human stuff.
"So Mabel Juice?" Bill asked the teen.
Dipper rolled his eyes. "It's like a baby born from a nightmare. You do not want want to drink that stuff dude. Trust me on this." He warned the blond.
Bill gave a gleeful grin. "I'm still gonna try it when Shooting Star makes it."
Their food came and they ate. Bill really like his "killer" pancakes to Dipper's amusement. The brunet paid when they finished and they went out.
As they walked around, Bill decided to study his surroundings. Most of the humans were just having fun while most others were working on their jobs. He saw a man and woman smiling at each other affectionately which made him curious, so he decided to bother Dipper about it. "Hey PineTree, what are those two doing?" He asked pointing at them.
"Bill it rude to point at others." He turned to where Bill was pointing and blushed when he found them just about kiss each other.
"You cheeks are red PineTree. Are you coming down with something?" Bill said completely clueless about the situation. He though it was cute thus making him rewind himself about that.
Dipper shook his head and gave the couple privacy while dragging Bill away into the forest trail on the way back to the shack. "Nothing Bill, that over there is two people likening each other if your wondering. They're a couple, a man and woman liking each other the way they do."
The dream demon hummed and a thought came into his head, then pulled PineTree up against him. He held him like the way the guy was holding the female earlier. A fluttery feeling setting inside of him.
"Bill what-" Before the surprised human could talk further, Bill cut him off with a copying kiss like the couple. Dipper stiffed up his posture, but soon found himself relaxing in Bill's hold. He unconsciously kiss back since his mind was sent into a lusty blurry haze.
Bill also felt himself happily kissing the other back. He put a hand to cup the teen's cheek while his other hand was behind the brunet's back. He made the lip action last because he had the feeling he wasn't going to be able to do it for sometime after this.
The two separated when Dipper needed air to breath. Bill smiled with a little intake of breath and Dipper was panting with a hazy looking in his eyes. Not to mention the massive blush on his face.
The brunet shook his head to get away from his hazy state. "B-Bill! You only do that with the people you really like!" He exclaimed.
"Well I do really like you kid. I told you before when you were younger I did." Bill says casually crossing his arms.
"I mean in a romantic way Bill! Gosh!" Dipper just wanted to go hide in his closet at the moment. His first real kiss stolen by Bill Cipher, the dream demon. No, Mermando does not count, he only did what was best to save his life.
The blond stayed silent and followed Dipper back to the Mystery Shack. Dipper had a hard time controlling his thumping heart and his blush on his face. Bill on the other hand was trying to figure out the difference between love and like, which scale would PineTree fit on filled his mind. Taking in account what him and Mabel talked about yesterday.
When they got back to the Shack, they met with Wendy and Soos who happened to be working in the gift shop at the moment.
"Yo Dipper!" She gave a hesitant look at Bill next to him. "Dude, do you mind if I talk to you for a sec?"
"Uh, sure Wendy." The teen followed the red head past the employees only door. "So what's up?"
"Mr. Pines told us that evil dorito is back, was the guy next to you him?" She asked as she leaned against the wall, hands in her pockets.
Dipper nodded his head and figured a bit. "Yeah, don't worry though, Bill's been okay with listening to us. I made a deal with him anyways so no one is gonna get killed or hurt. He's just gonna protect the people of Gravity Falls, so he's kind like a guardian now." He smiled awkwardly and laughed a bit.
"Alright Dipper." Wendy praised a little and patted the teen on the head. "Soos and I only got a little information from the Stans, their planning to tell us the rest later. Are you gonna go too?"
"Maybe not, I got to keep an eye on Bill and make sure he doesn't have another freak attack."
Wendy express confusion. "Freak attack?"
"Bill doesn't know it, but he's been having nightmares when he sleeps. He starts going crazy when he wakes up from them and I have to calm him down." The brunet explained to her clearly. He opened the door to peek out to check on how the demon was doing. "He falls asleep right after it and wakes up not remembering what happened."
Bill was watching Soos make another fake attraction for the shop. His expression seemed half happy and sad on the other half.
'He must be remembering Soos' past self.' He thought and felt kinda sad for Bill.
Wendy who was watching him could clearly see his feelings at the moment. She turned to peek out the door and saw the blond demon watching Soos with a fond look yet sad at the same time.
'Maybe...' She thought looking back and forth between Bill and Dipper. 'Maybe this time things will be different like the Twins' first summer here.'
+Afternoon+
Dipper sat on his chair, by his desk, writing in his journal. Bill laid on his bed reading some book that he got from Mabel. The brunet found out that he was actually asleep when the book from his hands fell. He gave the sleeping demon a lazy smile.
He went to his closet and took out a light blanket. Dipper draped it across Bill's sleeping human form like he did yesterday. The teen decided to head out and take a stroll out in town while Bill was asleep. 'He should be fine while I'm out for a bit. His nightmares haven't been too bad for awhile.'
Dipper closed the door of his room on his way out. He got down the stairs and just so happened to run into his sister. "Hey Mabel, I'm gonna go out for a bit. Bill's up in my room sleeping."
"Okay Dip Dot, but are you sure it's fine? Because you know Bill and his nightmares..." She asked worriedly.
"I won't be long Mabel. If anything does happen, just call me on my phone." He smiled when his sister nodded. Dipper waved by to his twin and left the shack.
Meanwhile the Stans and the two employees sat across from each other. Just at the moment, Mabel joyed them happily with a smile gracing her face. They talked with Wendy and Soos about the Bill problem. When they heard the explanation they found themselves sadden by it. They now understood what Bill was going through back then and now too.
"So how do you guys plan to help him?" Wendy asked.
"We were thinking that we should probably start with Bill meeting everyone again, but one at a time. We would introduce them with their past name and observe what might happen." Ford tells her as he pulls out the journal Dipper found from the library. "I managed to find some photos of our past selfs in the book in a envelope. We also have the memory we got from Bill that night when we hooked him up to the machine. Possibly we can recreate the clothing and have the zodiacs wear them."
Mabel's eyes widen with absolute glee. "Grunckle Ford! Can I handle costume management please!?" She literally also almost jumped out her seat when Ford nodded his head at his niece. "Yes!"
"Just remember dear that they have to look exactly the same. No extras, okay?" Stan told her.
"Don't worry Grunckle Stan, I got it covered." She smiled happily.
Soos looked through the photos carefully. He eventually found his past self's photo. His smile was happy as the man next to him handed him a boxed gift. "So this dude is that triangle guy?"
"Yeah Soos, its still a surprise to me that this guy was once a human. He was betrayed though which caused him to be like this..." Stan says regretfully.
"We were the ones who betrayed him..." Mabel sadly says remembering Bill's nightmare that they watched in the basement a few days ago.
Wendy picked up her photo and saw Bill's human self giving her a red rose with a friendly grin on his face. It almost made her want to cry for him because of what her past self did to him.
Their little group session was cut off when they heard a loud cry coming from up stairs.
"Oh no! Bill!" Mabel exclaimed and ran ahead to check on him. The rest all hurried up after her, rushing into Dipper's room.
Bill was on the bed screaming with tears running down his cheeks. "I'm sorry! I'm sorry! P-please don't hurt me anymore!" He cried out.
Mabel tried to wake him up. "Bill! You gotta wake up! You're having a nightmare again!"
The humanoid demon tossed and turned harshly on the bed not opening his eyes. "Don't hurt him! He did nothing! Don't HUrt DOMINIC!" His voice started getting menacing, distorted, and broken all at once.
"Where's Dipper?!" Ford asked getting everyone to step away from Bill.
"He went out to take a break. I'm gonna call him now." Mabel says, taking out her phone and speed dialed her brother.
Bill's eyes opened, but they weren't the same knowing eyes they knew. They were different and dangerous. He could only see red and his mind was in a haze. "What did I ever do to all of you?!" He exclaimed as tears confined to slip down his face.
Wendy and Soos covered Mabel while the older twins covered them. Mabel held the phone to her ear tightly waiting for her twin to finally pick up the phone.
'Please Dipper please...' She though in fear and worry. Mabel felt relieved when he finally picked up his phone.
"Hello, Mabel?" Dipper's voice filtered through the phone.
"Dipper! Get over here as quick as you can now! Bill's nightmare panics have gone to a whole new level! Please hurry!" Mabel said on the phone, she could hear her brother running now.
"I'm on my way Mabel! Just try to keep Bill at bay, stall him for as long as you can."
Mabel nodded. "Got it bro bro." The call was need and the brunette tried her best to stall the demon. "Bill, listen to us! We're just trying to help you!"
"Stop, stop, stop!" Bill shook his head vigorously. Images flawed in his head knocked against his mind. It hurt. It hurts so bad. He just wanted everything to stop. Then a blurry image of a familiar brunet caught his attention.
Stan and Ford quickly forced Bill down when they saw their chance. Wendy and Soos gave extra support to hold him down too.
Fear flashed through Bill's eyes. "You! All of you are trying to keep me away from Dominic!" A image of the dead brunet didn't calm him down one bit, it only fueled the fire in him. "Because of all of you, he's DEAD! It's all your fault!"
Mabel covered her mouth and started crying herself. 'Bill we're so sorry of what we did in the very past. Now we're trying to help you.' She thought.

Dipper made it home and rushed up to his room. "I'm here what- holy smokes..." He saw Bill in a very sad state. His hair was messed up, cheeks red and stained with tear trails, watery eyes that were glowing a blurry light cerulean blue. His family and friends were tied together in a bunch. "Bill..." He said to get the demon's attention.
The blond didn't respond or look at him. He was so much more focused on the bunched group in front of him.
"Bill!" Dipper exclaimed, but still got he same result. He didn't feel scared for some reason, nor did he panic about the situation. The brunet just walked up calmly behind Bill and hugged him from behind. "William." The name came out of his mouth before he knew it.
It made the demon pause on his actions. Simply levitating where he was and his face blank as a sheet of paper.
Dipper knew he had to play the role of someone else. Someone close to this person who was not Bill Cipher at the moment. The person he was hugging at the moment was William Rehpic. So in order to calm him, he had to be Dominic Oak. "William listen to me please... This not like you, where is that smile I always like to see?"
Bill/William relaxed in Dipper's hug. "D-Dominic..." Fresh tears came down his cheeks. "I'm sorry, I'm so sorry... It's all my fault... Is my fault, all of it." He cried sorrowfully while his powers flared a bit.
The observers were in awe that Bill was on the slight calm side now. They didn't do anything that might set the demon off again so they kept quiet.
Dipper felt a smile making it way up to his face. He let go of Bill/William and turned the demon around to face him. He brought both his hands up to cup the blond's face with care and fondness. "It was never your fault to begin with William. Never has it been." He used his thumbs to wipe away the falling tears as he kept looking into those blurry blue eyes.
Bill/William leaned into Dipper's warm hands feeling the utmost comfort from them. Bring his own hands to hold onto the brunet's hands. They reminded him of so much, yet he still felt like he can't remember clearly.
"Where are you now?" Dipper asked Bill/Willaim.
"I was so lost before without you, so empty and silent, but now I'm home." The other answered truthfully. Then images and words racked his brain. Bad memories, oh how they hunt him. "I'm still a monster, they hate me..." A frown was placed on his face.
Dipper kept a soft caring smile on his face when his patted him on the head. "You're perfect William, just the way you are. Now turn your frown," he used his fingertips of his index fingers to push the corners of the demon's mouth up, "upside down. I feel all the better when you smile. So show me one my magician."
The yellow demon did just that and leaned against Dipper. "Hey Dominic... I'm sorry, but I feel tired.. Can I rest?..."
Dipper petted Bill/William's hair with his other hand helping him steady the demon's lean body. "Go ahead William. Sleep for awhile."
The dream demon fell asleep again and Dipper laid him back down on the bed. He went over to his friends and family to untie them from their trap.
Mabel immediately hugged her brother tightly. "Dipper..." She says in a sad tone.
Dipper just pats her on the back gently not saying anything. Just thinking to himself of what he did- or rather what a part of him did. During the exchange with the Bill/William, he felt himself shift differently. His words were kind of his, but at the same time defiantly not his. Most of the time he wasn't even in control of his speech. The real Dominic had been talking to help calm him down.
Ford told Wendy and Soos to bring the others from Bill's Wheel tomorrow to try out their plan. Stan agreed to close up shop tomorrow just for it after seeing what happen moments ago.
They left the room, the only ones left in the bed room was Dipper and the sleeping dream demon. Dipper walked over to the bed and sat on the bed next to Bill's sleeping form. He moved his hand to gently stroke the blond's head gently not to disturb him.
The teen's eyes glowed a soft blueish brown.
"Oh William... I wish you were better. I hate seeing you like this." This wasn't Dipper talking, but Dominic. He hummed a soft tune that had Bill relax even more so in his sleep. The brunet smiled at that.
"Sweet dreams William."
