Help Him Sleep
+Mystery Shack: Night+
"Bill, get off my bed." Dipper told the human form demon annoyed.
Bill simply gave a sly smile at the brunet and got comfy on Dipper's bed. "Sorry Kid, but there is no way I'm sleeping on that so called air mat thingy." He picked up one of Dipper's pillows and hugged it. "What's the big deal with sleeping anyways? We could just party all night."
Dipper rolled his eyes and decided on sleeping on the air mattress. "Humans are different from demons Bill. We need sleep to keep ourselves energized during the day." He laid down and got comfortable on the air mattress.
"Oh yeah, this is why you meatsacks are so pitiful. You guys have so many limits." Bill said with a small laugh. He laid down and stared at the ceiling, all of a sudden feeling tired. The blond rubbed his eyes to try and take over the coming blur in them, but got knock out.
"Hey Bill-" Dipper was about to ask what he was gonna do while he slept. He figured it out once he heard soft light snoring coming from his bed. He sat up and smiled when he saw the dream demon sleeping peacefully. "Goodnight Bill." The brunet whispered and soon fell asleep too.

"William?"
Bill heard someone say. He turned his head and saw a young woman looking at him. She had long black hair with a silver cross charm in her hair. She was about 3 or 4 inches shorter than him. Her silver eyes looking at him with delight.
"Yes Blair?"
Okay he knew that did not come from his mouth, but it sounded exactly like him. The next he knew, she and a replica of himself moved away from him. He watched them enter a building, so he decided to follow along.
"You look happy today Princess? A penny for your thoughts?" His replica, William, asked the female.
The lady, Blair, giggled and smiled at William as they continued walking. "I'm just glad we're home, that's all. I mean your overseas magic shows are beyond amazing, but here..." She spun around once, "There's more magic you could feel here than anywhere else."
William grinned at her while Bill stayed a good distance away from them as he listened. 'Why am I even here?' He thought.
The three of them got to a blue door with a silver PineTree hanging on it.
"Gotta greet him with a big smile like I always do! If I'm lucky he'll reward me with a kiss." William smirked as Blair patted him on the shoulder.
"I seriously wonder why you haven't asked him out yet. You two always flirt with each other."
William placed a hand over his heart. "Ah, but alas, my love one is stubborn to adore me with his love." The male dramatically says as he feigned hurt. He smiled gently at the charm on the door. "Maybe one of these days we'll be together."
Bill could feel it now, the emotion of love and adoration. 'Why am I feeling these emotions? I'm a demon I'm not suppose to-'
"Well let's go in already! He's waiting for us now anyways." Blair had her hand on the knob already and turned it.
They went inside, but there was a sudden high pitched scream.
Bill couldn't say anything as he saw a young male meatsack dead on the white desk. Blood pooling next to the head as it stained the white color desk red. His emotions were raging of anger, fear, sadness. "No... N-No.. NOOOOO!!!" Bill shouted flying quickly over to the poor dead male. He saw William have the same idea, but came over slowly, mouthing soundless words.
"DOMINIC!!!!" William/Bill shout in sync.

"Bill! Wake up Bill!" Dipper shouted in a hushed voice said to try and wake up the demon.
Bill instantly opened his eyes and hugged Dipper tightly. "D-Dom-min-ic..." He choked out.
The teen was surprised by the action, he slowly hugged the frightened blond back. "It's okay Bill. It was just a dream... Just a dream..." He says in hopes of comforting the dream demon. He could always question Bill later, but not now. Dipper could still feel Bill trembling in his hold.
Wait a second, let me catch my breath
Dipper sang in a soft voice, hoping to calm the demon.
Remind me how it feels to hear your voice
Your lips are movin', I can't hear a thing
Livin' life as if we had a choice
Anywhere, anytime
I would do anything for you
Anything for you
Yesterday got away
Melodies stuck inside your head
A song in every breath
Sing me to sleep now
Sing me to sleep
Won't you sing me to sleep now?
Sing me to sleep
Bill had stopped trembling somewhere during his song. He breathing evened out, but his tight hug was still there. The brunet hummed for awhile and started singing again.
Remember me now, time cannot erase
I can hear your whispers in my mind
I've become what you cannot embrace
Our memory will be my lullaby
Sing me to sleep now
Sing me to sleep
Won't you sing me to sleep now?
Sing me to sleep
Dipper brushed Bill's bangs to the side a bit when he finally went to sleep. Bill's tight hold on his pajama shirt didn't let go so he just laid next to Bill on the bed. "Sing me to sleep huh..." He says. "I guess even when your a dream demon, you can't control your own dreams." He slowly fell asleep as he made sure the demon wouldn't wake up again.
+Morning+
The sun soon appeared in the sky again for another bright morning. Bill had his arms wrapped around someone, he just didn't know who. He slowly open one of his eyes and found brown hair. "Hm?" He sat up slowly and looked at the person he was hugging. "Oh it's PineTree... Wait! PineTree!" He exclaimed as he fell off the bed in surprise.
"Mmh..." Dipper moaned, turns on his side to face Bill, still asleep.
Bill thought for a moment for what could possibly be the reason PineTree was sleeping next to him. 'A. PineTree is trying to come onto me, B. PineTree sleepwalks, C. PineTree just wanted his bed and tried to push him off, but failed.' He nodded in thought. "There's a high possibility its A, I mean come on, who wouldn't love me.' The dream demon smiled and jumped onto Dipper again which pulled teen awake.
"OW! What the?! Bill, what are you doing?!" The teen groaned out as he glance at the grinning demon.
"Why PineTree~ I should be asking you that question. I woke up finding you sleeping next to me." Bill says giddy. "Don't tell me you've fallen for me, because I know I'm handsome and everything, but I have high preferences."
Dipper blushed as he managed to push Bill off of him and sit up on the bed. "You had a nightmare last night and I woke you up. You were clinging onto me when you saw me and you started crying." He explained to Bill quickly. Dipper rubbed his eyes to take away some the drowsyness.
"Pfft, I don't get nightmares." Bill says with a laugh while Dipper didn't.
He rolled his eyes, "Well apparently you do Bill." The teen yawned and got out of his bed to start another long day.
Bill watched the brunet walked out of the room with clothes to wear for the rest of the day. "I don't get nightmares... I never do." He says quietly to himself.
+Few weeks later+
During the last few weeks Bill had been waking up in the night screaming or crying from his nightmares. Though, when he woke up in the morning, he wouldn't remember them and be just fine.
Well that was because of Dipper, he had woken up from Bill's nightmares and immediately went to comfort him with words or some familiar lullabies he seemed to know. The demon would slowly start to calm down and drift back to sleep, not to wake up again until morning.
"Bro bro, what is up with Bill waking up like that for the past few weeks?! I keep getting jumped up from my sleep." Mabel asked her brother with a concerned glance at the napping demon on the arm chair.
Right now they were having a family meeting in the living room where Bill slept peacefully on the arm chair across the tv.
Dipper shrugged his shoulder looking towards the demon too. "I have no idea Mabel, I'm not a dream demon like him. If I was, I would have know why he keeps having nightmares already." The brunet groaned and looked at his family with a hopeful look. "There's gotta be a way to find out what he's dreaming of."
Ford hummed in deep thought until his I-know-what-to-do face came up. "I have an idea! We could use the machine that would have Bill proof your mind. With some minor adjustments we can have a look at what Bill's dreaming about." He says excitedly and stands up. "I should start working on it right away. Stanley, your helping me."
"Whoa whoa- wait- Sixer!" Stan says before he was hulled off by his twin to the basement.
Mabel smiled at the place where he two retreated. "It's nice to see those two getting along now."
Dipper smiled too and nodded. "Yeah Mabel."
The was silence between them minus the low volume of the television. Then they started Bill whimpering until he started struggling in his sleep. His whimpers turned into crying that made the teen go over to him.
Dipper started to wake up the blond demon from his sleep by shaking him. "Bill" he shakes the demon, "Bill wake up."
The dream demon held onto Dipper tightly again like he does all the time when he's having bad dreams. Dipper hummed as he runs his fingers through Bill's blond hair to clam him down. Bill seemed to calm down to his humming because his grip loosened up and his crying stopped. Just small sniffled sound can from his.
"You really are good at calming him down Dipper." Mabel whispers to her brother with joy in her voice.
Dipper smiled softly as he continued to run his fingers through the blond locks. "Yeah, I guess. I just feel like I've this thousands of times before, even before Bill's first nightmare."
The time seemed to pass by after claiming down Bill from his little nightmare. Mabel and Dipper stayed next to the dream demon just in case he had another one. They busy themselves with knitting out a book to read as they let the low volume of the tv sound the room.
Stan came to them an hour later with a smile and gestured for them to come downstairs. He helped Dipper by taking it upon himself to carry the blond on his back to the basement.
Once they made it there, Stan atoumatically went to set Bill on the chair near the machine. Mabel and Dipper walked over to the other side of Bill's chair and watched their Grunkles prepare get things started. Ford placed the helmet on Bill's head and started pressing buttons on the machine. Flicking switched here and there alone he way as things lighted up on screen. So far it was all just static.
"He doesn't really seem to be dream of anything at the moment." Ford says and checked the small reading monitors on his right.
Stan sighed and sat in a chair close by his twin. "Then we wasted time with this?"
"Well Bill's nightmare reactions are bigger when it's dark out. He had a small one a couple hours ago after you two left to work on this." Dipper told them as he saw Bill's finger twitch a bit. He checked his watch and saw that it really had gotten late. "It should start around..." He watch one more tick go by. "Now..."
On cue, Bill started to move a bit in uncomfortable way. The big screen monitor behind him started to turn into images. The Pines Family watched in silence about what they were about to see.
