Y/n POV:

A large weight was lifted off of my shoulders when I saw that the two of them were back safely. I couldn't remember how long it had been when I didn't feel so pressed about their wellbeing. Kyle and Alexis were in such awe after seeing Laurence. "W-wait, you guys remember me??" He was confused since they both knew exactly who he was. Alexis was one to talk first as she still wore that pink flower in her head.

"My memories of you are close to none as I do distinctly remember your face. But Y/n had shown many pictures of everyone who had left, along with telling many stories about you guys' adventures! At least the ones that Zoey did not know." It was true, my long since stolen phone had actually come in handy. I had taken and somehow printed(don't ask it was hard as crap) photos of all of them.

When the kids were all a lot younger Zoey and I used to tell them about all the trips we went on. Maybe exaggerating every now and then but still sharing with them the experiences. Kyle was a weird one though, he still remembered everybody from all the way when he was 2-4 years old. It was kinda creepy. Aphmau was let loose by Malachi in no time, he who tried to avoid me but to no avail.

"Where do you think you're going?!" I ruffled his hair up and laughed as he groaned and tried to fix it. "Why do always do that?" He finally laid it down how it was once more. "Because you think you look slick. Now get going already." He exited through the gate as Kyle was on wall patrol. I was about to head to where ever Dante was hiding, when I heard in on Aphmau and Laurence's conversation.

"Even if you aren't Lord anymore.... I am still your guard. I'm not leaving your side so don't even try to get rid of me. Haha, before you say it.... I know you can protect yourself, but in this world I'm trying to find my home in it. Even though my feelings are not as they once were, I am still here for you. Remember that. Now get going to see your sons." They shared a nice moment before Aphmau left in the direction of her old house.

I smiled at her retreating figure before the Weirdo cleared his throat. "I see you were ease dropping. Was someone getting a little jealous over my nonromantic gesture?" I cocked an eyebrow up after he said that. "Not at all, just thinking about how cute you guys look together." I was leaning against the side of the well that was set up in the middle of a walkway. "Well I'd bet we'd look even cuter~."

I pretended to ponder before shaking my head and walking away. "Not happening, Larmau for life!" Laurence ran forward after me. "I'm not letting you leave this time." For some reason he was just the tiniest bit still taller than me even after 15 years. He tried putting a hand around my shoulder before I retaliated. "I could snap you like a toothpick little man." He rethought his decision and decided not too.

Look how intimidating I am! Hell yeah. I found Dante stationed at the docks. I called out his name and he turned around. "Oooooo~ Y/n's got a follower~!" Laurence was in fact still trailing behind me. It was actually quite weird considering it used to be me following around Aphmau. "Shut it you expired Kool-Aid packet. I'm here to talk on our status of supplies." I threateningly stood in front of him as he still had a dumb smirk.

"Well, our growth in wheat and vegetables has been steady considering our soil. Of course with your resent trade we have a lot more metals to spare. Sugar cane hasn't been an issue as of late, and there seemed to be one extra Casanova then there was yesterday." I swear to god I'm gonna bury him. I rolled my eyes and pushed Dante down into the water. He needed to get that suit washed anyways.

"Thanks. I'll probably be making my way over to the mines as late as tomorrow. Try to dry off before Kawaii~chan sees you!" I waved with a grin as he spat out insults from below. Laurence chuckled next to me was we were about to make our way up the tree to the new(er) guard tower. Malachi had called my attention. "Y/n! Could you come with me to our house for a minute?" I told him sure before saying bye to the Weirdo.

"What do you kiddos need?" They both were in front of the house with things scattered on he ground. "We wanted to throw them a surprise party. Kawaii~chan was in charge of making the food and we already got everything we needed. Could you be able to help out with the setup?" There was balloons and streamers set out with tables and chairs stacked to the side. "Of course! This would be awesome!"

It only took 20 minutes tops to get it looking like a real party. Katelyn, Emmalyn and Kenmur had just came around along with Yip, Zoey and Dante. Levin told Malachi to go get Aphmau and Laurence while they both were grinning from ear to ear. He came back down and told us it would be about 5 minutes or so. I went over to the dance floor as everyone else arrived.

I was watching Nekoette for a minute before she grabbed onto my hand. "Would Y/n-chan like to dance?" I breathed out a laugh with a nod before spinning her around in place. She was giggling and having a ball before Lello(one of the twins) came up and tapped her. "TAG! Count to 39 then come try to find us!" He booked it in the other direction before Nekoette could react.

    "No fair!" She said sorry to me before running over to a tree so she could count. Aphmau came over and smiled to me before we both heard Alexis talking to herself on the side. "S-should I ask him to dance....? Why can't I just talk to him.....?" She sighed out loud before Aph and I shared a look. "*GASP* Gossip!" I was going to go over there when Aphmau told me not to say anything too her.

    I sighed with my fun being spoiled and grabbed a pear from the barrels. Laurence came over once again. 'He's been on my all day! What's he nervous about?' He gave a compliment to the party with a smile on his face. There was nothing I could complain about it, this was the first time I had seen everyone this happy in years. Dante most definitely he has been stressing out lately and needed a break. "May I have this dance?"

The bloody charmer asked when I was done with my fruit. I rolled my eyes and dusted off my shirt. "Fine, but you better not touch me!" He was joy filled from me response and we went back over to the floor. It wasn't long before we got into a rhythm with arm swings and foot shuffles. I know that we looked silly but I was feeling great about it all. Time went quickly as 10 minutes had gone by. We both were tired and dehydrated.

"L-Laurence...I think I-I'm done right now....H-haven't done this in a l-long time...." My breath just wouldn't come back to me. "Yeah, same here! Whew....Dancing is nothing like fighting. A-at least I don't have to worry about how I look when fighting." I chuckled and turned to leave. Aphmau was sitting at the table with Katelyn and Zoey as all three of them were looking in our direction.

Aphmau was wiggling her eyebrows at me but didn't even have to say anything to get my ears and face hot. Damn her and Dante. Speaking of him, Rollo(the other twin) had run in from the gates and was speaking to Dante in a panic. He unshed his katanas and charged out. I grew suspicious and went up to Rollo. "Y-Y/n! Dante... Nekoette! T-they.... She..!" He couldn't get the words out. I steadied him with my hands. "Breath kid, what happened...?"

He took in a sharp breath as Aphmau appeared next to me with the same concern. "Nekoette~Tan and I were playing and I was hiding and then she... this man came... he was dressed like one of those bandits... he took her away! I was so scared to move! When I left I ran as fast as I could to come tell Dante and he was so.... s-scary! He ran off after Nekoette!" That was all I needed to hear before chasing after him.
