In science class a conversation with a few friends became a discussion about what the worse way to die is.

We concluded that it was burning to death.

According to my friend who watches a lot of educational videos, burning to death is such a painful (and gruesome) way to die that you'll wish the smoke would suffocate you so that  you'll be through the immense agony quicker.
