Epilogue

Eight years later

Yashvi yawned as she entered their room after taking a shower, chuckling at the sight of her son and his father snuggling together. She smiled lightly, her eyes falling on the clock. Her eyes widened, and she quickly went to wake up her son.

"Yuvaan, wake up quickly," Yashvi patted his cheeks. He turned his face to the other side, only to wince as his mother twisted his ear.

"I know you're awake. Get ready quickly. You have to go to school too," she said, holding his hand and dragging him to his room.

"Mumma, let me sleep. Diya is also sleeping," Yuvaan said, indicating towards Advait's two-year-old baby. Yashvi rolled her eyes before walking to his room and glaring at him. He made a face and went inside, quickly freshening up, and then calling his mother to help him take a shower.

"You had your football practice. I'm packing an extra tiffin of fruits for you, and remember to keep yourself hydrated, okay?" she asked while buttoning up his shirt. He nodded, yawning, which made her chuckle.

Her son, Yuvaan Yashvi Mehrotra, is a five-year-old and the light of the house. She had a miscarriage during her first pregnancy, which had pushed her into a shell. It was through the constant support of her husband that she came out of that phase stronger, and eight months later, she was pregnant again with Yuvaan. He looked just like Advik but had her eyes and nose. He possessed a high IQ but was slightly naughty. He had everyone wrapped around his little finger, especially his grandparents.

"When did Papa come back?" he asked as his mother styled his hair.

"Yesterday night. You were sleeping," she said when she felt a hand slipping around her waist. She rolled her eyes, a smile playing on her lips as Advik nuzzled her neck.

"Papa!" Yuvaan screamed, making Advik chuckle as he let go of his wife and tickled their son, who became a laughing mess in seconds. Chuckling, Advik hugged Yuvaan and Yashvi closer to his chest, pecking their foreheads.

-----

"What's for lunch, Chachi?" Yuvaan excitedly asked Drishti, Advait's wife, who chuckled and leaned in to peck him on the head.

"Parantha, masala chana, fruits, and salad," Drishti said, handing him a cup of yogurt.

"Adarsh Bhaiya, when will Esha Bhabhi return?" Drishti asked, sitting beside Yuvaan and feeding him pasta.

"By tonight," he said, smiling at her.

Adarsh had an arranged marriage with Esha Agrawal six years ago and they have a three-year-old son, Aadish. On the other hand, Advait fell in love with Drishti Oswal, an architect, and married her three and a half years ago. Adya cleared her NEET PG and became a thoracic surgeon, later marrying her college classmate and arch nemesis, Sameer Mahajan, who became a general surgeon. Darsh also fell in love with a fellow doctor, Taara Sinha, and got married three years ago. They now have a newborn baby boy.

Four years ago, Advik's grandfather died of old age, and a few months later, Yashodara followed him. It was a tough period for the Mehrotras, but with the constant support of each other, they came out of it.

Advik had made her father to apologize to his mother and even asked her if she wanted to maintain any connection with him or her half-brother. However, she shut down the opportunity, expressing her desire to keep him away from her family.

His mother was doing what she loved after retirement, travelling around the whole India. Her mother's was content with the life her children were living.

-----

Yashvi and Advik exchanged glances before their eyes fell on the pregnancy test kits.

"What if it's positive?" Yashvi asked nervously, gripping his hand tightly.

"Yashvi, relax," he reassured her, gently caressing her hand as he glanced at the pregnancy test kit.

"It is positive," she whispered, tears welling up in her eyes. He nodded, pulling her into a tight hug and planting a gentle kiss on her forehead.

"How will we balance between Yuvaan and this baby? How will he react?" Yashvi asked, pulling away from the hug.

"He will be overjoyed to know that he is going to have another sibling. Trust me," Advik said softly, cupping her cheeks and giving her a tender kiss.

"Thank you for giving me a happy family and for being my home. I love you so much, Advik," she whispered, kissing his lips softly. He chuckled, their worries momentarily forgotten as they embraced their love for each other, finding solace in their intimacy.

-----

One and half year later

Advik let out a yawn, his gaze fixed on his daughter Yuvika, who stared back at him with her big black eyes. A smile crept onto his face as he lifted his ten-month-old daughter into his arms, planting a soft kiss on her head. Yuvika giggled loudly, her attention now shifting to her older brother, who was engrossed in his homework.

"My little girl," he whispered tenderly, his voice filled with affection. He then turned his gaze to his wife, who was busy working on her laptop.

"Isn't it beautiful?" he asked, glancing at his wife and their son, who was diligently focused on his homework.

"What?" Yashvi asked, setting her laptop aside and giving him her full attention. Advik chuckled at the sight of their daughter reaching out her hands towards her brother. He gently placed Yuvika on the floor, watching as she excitedly crawled towards her brother.

"Our journey, from the moment we met, to our marriage, the love we share, the loss of our first baby, and now having two beautiful children of our own. I didn't even realize how ten years have passed," he said, reminiscing about their past as he side-hugged his wife.

"It has been ten years now. Look at our little babies. Remember how you cried when you held Yuvaan in your arms? It feels like yesterday when I was overwhelmed with the intensity of my feelings for you. You make me so happy, Advik. You gave me a family, and these two precious gems. Thank you for being mine," she whispered, planting a gentle kiss on his jaw and glancing at their son, who was happily playing with his sister.

In the end, Yashvi realized that she had escaped the fate of her mother. She had found a man who was willing to do anything to see a smile on her face, a family who embraced her as their own daughter, and two precious gifts.

They may still be imperfect, but they perfectly fit into each other's lives like pieces of a puzzle.

They came to realize that love was never just about falling; it was about growing together, supporting each other through the ups and downs of life. It was not a fairytale but rather a beautiful reality.

Marriage, an alliance based on the foundation of love, trust, understanding and loyalty towards each other.

THE END

Writing About them had been a beautiful journey and honestly, I returned to writing after a long time. I don't know if I will continue writing or not, but Yashvi and Advik are so close to my heart, like they are my literal babies.

They are not perfect and I am aware. I just wanted them to be human, a book where the male lead doesn't degrade the female lead before falling in love, doesn't go around whoring and genuinely believes in love.

There were a few scenes I am supposed to add which may come in future as Bonus chapters but there is no promise.

Lastly, to whoever reading this book, may you find your imperfect love partner like Advik and Yashvi but before that, fall in love with yourself.

In no way I had shown Yashvi depressed because of her past. She had friends, she had fun but her past was part of her which she had to accept and move on. She is not perfect but she is human, that's what makes her beautiful.

Thankyou for reading IMPERFECTLY YOURS and becoming a part of journey of Advik and Yashvi.

THANKYOU<3
