"Sit there and don't move," says Campbell to me in a demanding tone. I think he's mocking me and my power, that is now rendered useless. He smirks at me and then turns to leave the bunker. He doesn't bother to turn on the lights as he stomps up the stairs and closes the door. This bunker that once signified a safe place of discovery and shelter is now a prison. As if they hadn't taken enough from us.

"Guys?" asks Emma as she sits somewhere in the dark room. "Can we move to sit closer to each other? Maybe we can unknot ourselves and come up with a plan-"

"It's over, Emma," I say to her sadly. "There is no plan,"

We sit in silence and I begin to fiddle with the cuffs around my wrist. The steel cuts into my skin and I frown in pain as I give up and just throw my back down on the bed Campbell had us sit on. We really lost. This is over.

"What do you think they're going to do with us?" asks Rachel. "It's not like we can ever go home. We've been labeled murderers by the national news,"

"We probably are going to be poked and prodded for the rest of our lives as one big science experiment," says Emma gloomily. "I just want to know what happened to the others. Do you think they're okay?"

I've tried not to think about that. Jonas was already nervous leaving and separating the group. I didn't even make it ten minutes without being caught after we left.  I let him, Whitney, and Charlie down. I'm not the leader that they wanted me to be.

"I hope so," says Rachel whispering.

The door to the bunker opens once again and multiple feet stomp down the stairs. Someone is speaking in Spanish as they walk down the stairs, and my heart leaps, as well as breaks as Gonzalo, makes his way into the bunker. He continues to rapidly speak in Spanish as Campbell throws him in the middle of the room and then turns around to walk back up to the top of the bunker.

"Wait," I say.

He turns around and looks at me confused. His features are harsh even in the dim light that the top of the bunker is providing. "Can you please turn the light on and let us out of the handcuffs? There's no way that we are getting out of here," I say. He laughs and then begins to walk up the stairs. "Campbell," I say to him. "We could have killed you,"

He stops and then sighs heavily as he walks down the stairs and flips the lights on. "I'm only doing this for the nonactive powers," he says looking at me and Emma. "Lightning bolt and the flash are going to stay tied up," he gets the key out of his pocket and then undoes my handcuffs. I start to rub my wrist as he walks over to Emma and undoes her handcuffs as well. "Don't say I never did anything-"

His words are cut off as Gonzalo slams into him. Campbell falls to the ground and Gonzalo quickly jumps to the floor. Campbell is quick to get back on his feet and kicks Gonzalo in the stomach as he gets out of the room quickly. "Damn kids," he whispers. "I should cuff them all again,"

"What the hell were you thinking!" says Emma running over to him and helping him up. "He could have killed you, Gonzalo! Then what? We live down here with your rotting corpse until we get moved to where ever they're taking us?"

"Well that is incredibly morbid," says Gonzalo as he turns around and shows us his hands. "I was just getting the keys,"

The keys are in his hands and Rachel laughs as she runs over to them so Emma can undo her handcuffs. "How did you know he would drop it?" asks Rachel as her cuffs fall to the ground with a loud clank.

"I didn't," says Gonzalo as Emma turns to his chains and tries to undo his locks. "It was just a lucky coincidence," he says. "Now how are we getting out of this?"

They all turn to me and give me an expecting look, but it's no use. I have no plan that is going to allow us to get out of here. There are too many guns and too many men out there. Especially without Whitney and her power, this is a lost cause.

"Guys, we don't even know what happened to Jonas, Whitney, and Charlie," I say looking at them sadly. "This is such a crappy situation, but unfortunately it is the only one we have to work with. There's no game plan from in here. We lost,"

"I don't accept that," says Gonzalo as he zooms in and out of the bunker at full speed. "Not when we have the ability to do the things we can do-"

"I can't use my power, Gonzalo," I say looking at him. "Emma, though great, can only see the future. You're super fast and Rachel can shoot lightning from her hand. It's not like we have a large supply of superpowers with us. Without Jonas's forcefield and Whitney's fear simulator we can't do anything," I say.

"No!" says Rachel looking at me angrily. "We are not going to sit here and give up. They could need us right now! We owe it to them to not sit here and just lay down and die, Rosalie. You're better than that," she says glaring at me. "Or at least I thought you were,"

Rachel walks over to the stairs and begins to stomp up them. We all follow her up the stairs cautiously as she bangs on the door. My heart begins to race because this doesn't seem like it's going to end well.

Campbell opens the door and looks at us surprised as he quickly feels his hips and sees the keys are no longer there. "Well, this is stupid," he says pulling his gun out and aiming it at us. "Back down the stairs, now," he says demanding.

"I don't think so," says Rachel.

Her whole hand turns electric as she tries to push past him. He shoves her on the chest, and all four of us topple down the stairs and pile down at the bottom. He and 3 other storms the bunker and cause us to retreat back into the middle of the room. Their gun is pointed at us and a sick look appears on all of their faces as they point it in our direction.

"Just let us go!" says Gonzalo angry as he starts to bounce up and down. "This isn't cool dude! We didn't even do anything! I just want to go home!"

"Home isn't an option anymore," says Campbell. "Once your friends get here to the bunker, we will be transporting you to the bureau and then you never have to look at me again,"

"I'd rather do that now," says Rachel as electricity floods her body. Her clothes begin to fall off in tatters as we back away quickly to avoid getting shocked. The electric current grows larger and larger surrounding her, and soon her lightning is touching the ceiling.

A gunshot fires in the room and I instantly fear for Rachel. Her electricity stops and she stands in front of everyone naked, but not a single drop of blood is anywhere on her body. She checks her body repeatedly and then turns to us and her jaw drops in horror.

I turn to Emma who is staring at a gaping wound in her chest. She looks at me confused, and then coughs and falls to the ground. Blood begins to dribble from her mouth and she begins to tremble on the ground.

"Emma!" I scream as I fall down to the floor. "Emma, no!" I say. "Please stay with me!" I say as I begin to apply pressure to her wound. She looks at me with her eyes barely opens and gently smiles.

"Rosalie," she says looking at me. "It's okay,". She reaches her hand up to touch my face, but it starts to tremble and she drops it down to the ground. "Don't let Rachel beat herself up," says Emma in between shallow breaths. "It's not her fault," she says as she tries to glance at Gonzalo adn Rachel one last time. "Don't give up," she says to me. "Promise me,"

"Emma, please stay with me," I say as tears start to fall down my face. "We have to stay together,"

"Rosalie," she whispers. "Promise me,"

"I...I promise," I say weeping as she smiles at me.

"I really do love you guys," she says to us weakly. "Thank you for letting me be a part of something,"

Her head tilts to the side and her eyes remain wide open. I let out a loud scream and Rachel runs over to us crying. Gonzalo has stood in his same spot frozen in terror since the gunshot sounded.

"Which one of you shot the bullet!" screams Campbell looking at the men. "The Doctor is not going to be happy when he finds out that we killed one of the subjects! What the hell were you dipshits thinking!" he screams.

Rachel looks at me with a blank expression and then stands up. She turns to face the men standing before us. Each of them with a gun pointed at a kid. A gun that took one of these kids lives.

"You killed her," says Rachel softly. "You just killed Emma," she says. Her voice is lacking any emotion as she stares at the men. "You just killed my friend," she says.

Rachel then starts to scream hysterically. Lightning begins to erupt from not only her hands, but her chest, eyes, and mouth. She shoots it in the direction of one of the men and it hits him directly in the chest. The man doesn't scream in pain or make any noise at all. Rachel just continues to scream as the electricity pounds into the man's chest.

The rest of the men scream as they quickly grab at their ears and throw the tiny chip out of their ears. The fall to the ground grabbing their heads and covering their ears.

Rachel stops screaming, and with it, the lighting stops. The man's body lies on the ground with a gaping hole in his chest the size of a basketball. Rachel walks over to the bed and grabs a blanket off of the bunk and wraps it around her body. She turns to me looking sad as the men who threw the chip out of their ears slowly start to come to the realization of what happened.

"Out! Now!!" screams Campbell as the men quickly attempt to get up and run for the stairs.

"Stop," I say using my power.

Every single one of the men stops dead in their tracks as they freeze right before they touched the stairs. "Come back," I say to them. "Don't touch your guns,"

They each turn around from the stairs and start walking toward the center of the room again. They gather around their dead comrade as they stare at me with fear in their eyes. Campbell quickly grabs the radio on his chest and starts talking to the people above the bunker. "We need back up down here now! We are compromised!" he says looking at me with a smirk. "They'll be down here any minute, Barbie!" he says looking at me. "You're out of plays,"

"Take your guns and stick them in your mouths," I tell the men standing in the center. We hear men at the door of the bunker making a plan before they storm in. "I said take the guns and place them in your mouth!" I scream.

The men reluctantly do as they're told as each of them try to fight the urge to do as they're commanded. Campbell looks tight-lipped and red as the gun goes to the roof of his mouth and he closes his eyes.

I point my finger to the men on the right of Campbell and narrow my eyes. "Pull the trigger," I tell him. He looks at me, his eyes begging me to change my mind as he fights the urge to pull the trigger. "One of you killed my friend," I say looking at them angrily. "I said pull the trigger!" the gunshot sounds and the man falls to the ground with a loud bang on the floor.

"Now you," I say pointing to the man on the left. The door to the bunker is open and the men are slowly creeping down the stairs.

This man was a lot less willed than the other as he pulls the trigger quickly and falls to the ground. "Now Campbell," I say looking at him.

A silver cylinder gets thrown into the room. A white smoke starts to fill the room, and I decide not to breathe it in as I look Campbell in the eyes. "Pull the trigger," I say. My lungs long for oxygen as I take a deep breath and start to get woozy from the smoke. I fall to the ground but refuse to lose consciousness until Campbell does as he's told. Campbell is stumbling back and forth from the gas, but he still has the gun in his mouth. He's fighting hard, but he will pull the trigger.

"Pull the trigger," I manage to say one last time.

As my eyes start to droop the last thing I hear is a gunshot being sounded in the room.
