Jonas

"Should we be worried she's not awake yet?" asks Rosalie. She gets up from her bed and touches Emma's head. She looks peaceful as she breathes heavily on her bed. Her face is relaxed, and I think it's the first time I've ever seen her this way.

"I think that we just need to give it time," I respond to her. "We don't know what they put in her. I would say she's okay though because she's still breathing,"

It's almost midnight here at Camp Pinecove. The events from the day are long over, and yet, I'm still holding onto all my anger towards Charlie. I know it's a dick move. I know that I have to put myself in his shoes, but he just abandoned us. We were all given a task to do, and he let us sit there and almost fail. If this take back would have failed it would have been on him.

"You're doing it again," says Rosalie as she comes and sits back down with me on the bed.

"What am I doing?"

"You're thinking to hard," she says with a small smile. "You get this line in your forehead and it makes you like about 50 years older than you actually are," Her smile lights up the room as she leans against the wall and begins to play with my hands. "You're going to get wrinkles, you know?"

"You mean you're not into the whole young at heart old in body thing?" I ask teasingly as she rolls her eyes. She leans her head on my shoulder and grabs my hand and begins to play with my palm. Chills erupt in my body as her nails drift gently over my skin. Almost immediately after she puts her head on my shoulder her breathing starts to slow and she falls asleep on my shoulder.

I officially have the shittiest luck in the world. Well, not the shittiest. I'm currently sitting on a bed with Rosalie Clarke hand in hand as she is asleep on my shoulder. Our lives just had to end in order for that to be possible. Just to top it off, I have no idea where we are standing as far as a couple, and I don't want to be "that guy" when everything in our lives are currently falling apart.

Just take the moments for what they are, Jonas.

A light moan from across the room snaps me back into reality. Emma's eyes are open as she tries to get up and lets out a loud wince. I nudge Rosalie, who shoots across the room the second she realizes what's going on.

"Water," Emma says with an incredibly raspy voice. "Please,"

Rosalie nods and runs out of the room. Emma sits up slowly and leans her back against the wall her bed is pushed up against. She puts her head in her hands and lets out a groan. "Remind me to punch that guy in the face if I ever see him again," she mumbles under her breath. "I don't know what he injected me with, but this is worse than any hangover I've ever had,"

Rosalie appears back into the cabin with a cup of water from the mess hall. She quickly makes her way to Emma who chugs the water quickly before and then sits the cup down on the bed. She looks at both me and Rosalie and then her eyes widen. She throws herself from the bed and runs over to Rosalie's bed throwing herself in the middle of us.

"We need to talk," she says looking at both of us. "You two are the unofficial official leaders of this whole thing, so I think that you two should figure out how we give this information to the rest of the campers. Dynasty Space Station and whoever in the government have been working together to track the rocks. They knew they had strange properties, but what they didn't know is that we would get powers from it. I think they're scared of us,"

Rosalie and I glance at each other and then she clears her throat and looks at Emma. "Are we-" she begins. "Did he mention if we were the only ones that have experienced..this?"

"He did say that we were the unfortunate first people to come into contact with it. You guys don't find it weird that they're so threatened by this? What if they know something bigger is happening? What is with all the rocks? I want to know why they haven't released some sort of a-"

Her eyes get a film of grey shine over them as she freezes mid-sentence. Her mouth drops, and she begins to look around the room as she sees her vision. She gets up and moves towards the door and we get up to follow her. Emma is walking steadily towards the mess hall when she stumbles over a rock. We run to try to catch her but she's already caught her balance and the vision is over.

"We're about to have company," she says quickly.

A bright light shines from the entrance to the camp. Ten men stand at the gate. All but one of them hold their hands up in an act of surrender as the other one holds a square object in his hands.

"I think it's a drone," says Emma. "I'll go get everyone else," she says running off toward the cabins.

We hear a light engine as a drone falls down from the sky right in front of Rosalie and I. We link hands and get closer to each other as a video chat appears on the screen. "That's the man that drugged Emma!" says Rosalie as she stares at the face of a white guy with blonde hair. He has a chiseled jawline, and his chin is very strong. He looked like he could have been a model back when he was in his early 20s.

"Yes, I am the guy that drugged that girl," he says with a bitter expression. "Do we want to rehash old wounds or do we want to talk about why I'm here?"

"I would like to know why you're here in the middle of the night," I respond to him.

"Because the girl who shoots lightning bolts out of her hands would have shot us out of the sky if we came in the day,"

"You're learning,"

We turn to see Rachel, Gonzalo, Whitney, Charlie, and Emma surrounding us from behind. "Well, now that the whole gang is here," says the man with an eye roll. "I want to start off with I don't agree with this, but the higher-ups are insisting that we try to handle this in the least volatile way to not cause any unwanted attention to come on us,"

"Well isn't that the epitome of uplifting I don't know what is," says Emma with a sarcastic smile. "Get on with it,"

"My name is Sergeant Campbell. I've worked with Dynasty for the past twenty years. We've specialized in correcting the impact of alien activity when it falls to earth. Unfortunately for everyone, you kids are the latest repercussions of one of those impacts,"

His voice is full of disgust, and he looks at me us like we are the scum between his toes as he continues to speak. "You kids will have to hear us out. There are things that you need to know about these rocks, and we want to make sure that you're fully prepared to know what you're going to be facing without our help,"

"Yes," says Rachel with a snort. "Because your help was noted when you ambushed us with guns and flocks of soldiers,"

"Soldiers that your monster boy killed. McConga had a newborn baby, but I suppose that doesn't matter?" asks Campbell with an angry tone. "Look, we are requesting a formal meeting with you kids. If this isn't something that you're interested in then we will be forced to take the camp by force, and we will be prepared for Princess' tricks this time," he says indicating to Rosalie. "You have until tomorrow to decide. I'll be in touch,"

The drone drives away and we are left standing in the center of the pathway that leads to the gate. The light the men were using for us to see where they are turned off and we are left in complete darkness as we wait for the sounds of their cars to disappear down the roads.

"Well it seems like we have a choice to make," I say to the group. "Everyone gets a vote,"

"Let's make a fire and talk," says Rosalie as she starts on the path.

"I'm down," says Charlie as he and Rachel follow her side by side. "Besides, I think Rita and Mike had some booze in their cabins,"
