Too Many Showers
"Eva... hurry the fuck up! I have to shower too!" I shout as I bang on the bathroom door. She has been in there for at least 30 minutes, and I'm tired of smelling like a dirty hobo. I would've been a little nicer about it... had her phone not been excessively ringing and she was in the shower.
Fed up, I march over to my suitcase and grab my showering essentials along with some clothes and put my slippers on, heading to and out the door.
...
I get to Victoria's door and start to knock rapidly, because on the way down, my bladder decided to make it's presence felt.
Just as I thought she wasn't gonna open the door--and I wasn't gonna make it to the bathroom-- she finally opens the door. It doesn't take but a second to barge in and go straight to the bathroom.
...
Once I'm finally out of the bathroom after 20 minutes, I walk out and over to Vick, who looks like she's knocking on death's door.
"How do you feel, love?" I ask her, gently sitting down on her bed as she rolls on her back.
She doesn't even open her eyes to look at me. "I'm dying, Sar. I probably look exactly like what's in that trashcan." She points over to it and I refuse to look.
"Thanks, I'm good. But that's what you get for drinking so much. You were so drunk I had to drag you and the Bellas to your rooms."
"I'm soo thankful for you... for that? I think that made sense. Doesn't matter, though, because--"
Just then she quickly moves to the trashcan and throws up again. How pretty.
"Do you have any asprins or something? I tried to leave you some but I didn't want to go through your luggage." I say as I ease her up to sit her up.
"No," she answers, holding her head in her hand. "I forgot to bring some. Would you do me a favor and get me some from the store. Money's in my bag."
I would've said I would pay for it, but I have to save up to get a new phone when I go back home to LA, so I go to her bag and pull out her wallet and hand it to her.
"Ooh, actually I'll go with you. I have to go out anyways, so."
"Vicky, you just threw up. I don't think going out right now is a good idea." I warn.
"Well I have a job to do, and part of that job is keeping in shape, so I really don't have a say in the matter." She throws the covers off of her, and she looks like she's showered and ready to go.
"Maybe getting out is just what you need," I reply, helping her stand up. "Get your shoes on, hun." I let go of her, seeing if she is able to do this by herself. She gets them on, took a little long, though, but I guess I can supervise.
"I have to go to my room; do you want to come with, stay her and I come back, or I meet you in the lobby." I ask.
"Lobby." Is all she says as she grabs her bag and slowly walks to the door.
...
I walk down to the lobby to find Foxy with sunglasses on with her head hanging back.
"Alright come on. There's a Rite Aid down the street and we'll get you some asprins then go to breakfast.
"Sounds good." She groans as she gets up.
...
We get to Rite Aid and we get straight to finding some asprins for Foxy. Once we do, she grabs a small bottle and she heads to go get some water.
Since I'm here, I'm gonna stock up on snacks, so I grab some chips, trailmix, and chocolate and head to the front to pay.
I'm standing in line, waiting to pay, and all of a sudden the doors slide open...
And it's April. With Sarona and Big E.
I definitely have forgotten about her; with supervising adult women and stressing about aggravating-Eva, I really haven't had time to think about her... not that I want to think about her.
I silently panic as I rush out of my spot-- a spot I've stood in for 4 minutes-- and rush over to the fridges in the back, only to find Vicky chugging a Smart Water.
"I can't take this headache anymore. Come on, let's go." she says, trying to drag me to the front.
"Actually, I'm really hungry, and I need something to eat. I'll meet you that cafe across the street, yeah?" I answer, already walking away.
She has other plans, as she grabs my arm and pulls me back. "You'll be fine. Just gotta pay for these few things and we're out." Obviously I have no say in the matter. So here we are. Standing in line, just waiting to bump into them.
"So what are we doing today?" I ask, trying to keep my mind occupied.
"Well," she starts with a sigh, adjusting her sunglasses. "I was thinking after breakfast we go to the training center and workout. Then we go to this big drum circle in at Mount Royal. I heard it is super fun. Then we hit the town at night."
"Sounds awesome. Can't wait." I say with a smile.
As we inch closer to the registers, I hear whispers behind me...
"Isn't that Saraya and Victoria?" I hear Big E say. Oh no.
"It sure is," It was AJ, definitely AJ.
"We should go say hi." Sarona suggests. I never thought a heart could beat so fast.
Suddenly, E. comes up and scares the shit out of me. How did I know he was coming and I still get scared? "Give me all of your money!" He rushes out and let out a little yelp.
I turn around all surprised but fake calm down when I see it's them. "Don't do that, E.! I almost grabbed my pepper spray." I laugh as I hug him.
"Duly noted." He replies.
"Is she ok?" Sarona asks while pointing at Foxy, who hasn't even turned around to say hello. She does move up, however.
We follow her, "Yeah, she's just really hungover last night." She just nods and walks over to her, leaving April, E. and I.
Not for long though. His phone starts ringing and excuses himself and walks out... leaving just April and I.
My nerves are sky rocketing through my body right now.
"So is this what I have to do to talk to you, huh? Bump into you randomly in a drugstore?" She finally asks as I look her her up and down. She has her glasses on, her hair in a messy bun (like me), sweats, and a black tank top. She looks nice. All three of them look nice, not just her in particular.
"What are you talking about?" I ask, looking away.
"You know what I'm talking about, Saraya," You can just hear the amused dripping from her voice. "You have been ignoring me ever since Monday. It's Thursday."
"Well it's easy, considering how I've been ignoring you for the past 3 months." I spit back.
She chuckles. "We obviously need to have a talk. And after that little voicemail you left me," she says in a hushed voice near my ear. "It should be sooner rather than later."
Once the shivers in my body are gone, I clear my throat and say "Once again, I have no idea what you are talking about. I haven't sent anything to you." I just straight up deny and lie to avoid the truth.
She snorts. "Really?"
"Really."
"Hmm, ok. But it won't be long until you 'remember'." She walks away and out of store, but not before smacking my bum. And while I'm just standing there a little... aroused, I see her grinning through the window and standing next to E.
I'm just staring at Sarona and Victoria talk to each other, openly thinking about what the hell just happened, and... did that really just happen?
*time skip*
I am all tired out. We decided to switch up the order and went to the base of Mount Royal to the drum circle first, and then we went to exercise.
I'm just coming back from the Center and I'm beat. Not only were Foxy and I working on our moves, I was helping out other superstars, both from NXT and Tough Enough. I guess it was a good deed.
I walk into my hotel room and I can instantly hear the shower running again. Damnit, Eva. This is the third time she's been in the shower in 2 days. I never get in the shower when I want to.
I walk over to my bed and I almost trip onto the damn bed; if it wasn't for Eva's lamp being on, it would be dark as hell in this room, minus the big red numbers clock that reads '8:57 PM'. I don't mind it, though.
I'm so sore, but it's nothing a nice hot shower and a good night's sleep can't fix.
I pull my tank top over my head and throw it on the bed and take off my sneakers and socks and sit down on my sore ass, leaving me in a sports bra and some booty shorts.
I whine a little as I stretch my tense msucles to grab everything I need for my shower. Then I just lay back and rest, starting to recall today's events.
After that run-in with April, I'll admit-- I couldn't stop thinking about her. Couldn't stop thinking about how she swatted my butt. Was it playful or just another way to get to me? Either way it felt... good? I definitely felt something because of it. She left me in the drugstore paralyzed like an idiot.
"Well it's about time you admitted something truthful. It was getting hard to watch," Of course I have something about it.
"Maybe you can finally tolerate how you feel about her? It's bound to come out so why not now?"
Suddenly, I hear the shower stop.
I open my eyes and blink away the previous thoughts and stand up and stretch but continue thinking.
Maybe I can entertain the idea that I'm just a teensy bit attracted to her--hell, not even me, my body is attracted to her. There will never be anything between us, though. If we were friends at the moment, I would say that she's a friend, and I would never want to ruin what we have... had. Its "had" now.
Never mind. That was pointless to entertain.
I walk over to the T.V. and turn it on so I'll have something to sleep to when I come out. As I'm flipping through channels, the light from the bathroom brightens then disappears.
"Way to use up all of the hot water again, Eva," I say without looking. "This is, like, your third shower in 2 days, I think your clean enough." I walk over to my stuff and start picking stuff out.
"Well," I hear Eva say, but... it's not Eva. It's not her voice. I know exactly whose voice that is.
"I'm gonna need two hair dye kits, some 6 inch red bottoms, and a bra that is 3 cups bigger than my own to be Eva."
I turn around and it is her. Her it is. April. Only wearing a smile and a towel around her body. My breath is stuck in my throat and I can barely breathe right now.
I drop all of my stuff on the floor due to my muscles stiffening up on me.
I'm very close to fainting. Is this another dream?
"Please don't let this be a dream."
