Ancient Egypt 2000 BC
The ancient city of Heliopolis was filled with beautiful structured buildings that could reach the sky. Hieroglyphics displayed along the city walls with colors of blue and gold that shimmered in the moonlight, making it that much more breathtaking. Crowds of chattering and singing were echoed by the people throughout the city who were enjoying the festival in honor of the Egyptian God Atum.
Until Ra unleashed Sekhmet; bringing destruction and darkness throughout.
Sekhmet's bloodlust was only to be preyed on by the ones who did not believe in the one true god, Ra. Screams of men and women pierced through the darkness as they flee with panic away from Sekhmet's sharp daggered claws. One by one she shredded and decapitate limbs of her victims. Her lioness features terrorized the faces of those who laid their last sight upon her.
Her features were almost identical to a lion's, with a mane so long and lushes, and her sharp eyes slanted inward. Her body was a shape of a woman that could be fooled by an imprudent man. But her mouth was the most terrifying of all as her jawbone extended out with sharp teeth that could go on for days and shred through flesh like butter.
Once Sekhmet tasted blood she could not stop, not even for those who did praise Ra.
Blood flowed through the Nile River and along the walls of Heliopolis, as bodies laid dead amongst the sand. What was once full of life and energy was now all but silence, as Ra looked at the corpses.
Clenching his jaw, he held back his frustration of what had been endured. Rotting corps invaded his nostrils as he walked amongst the silent. With each step he took he could feel his feet getting soaked by puddles of thick blood, covering his foot like a shoe would.
He was too late to control Sekhmet's reign who now sleeps for all eternity, done by his powers, locked away in a hidden chamber were no one can find her.
From the corner of his eye, three bewildered people started to rise through the lifeless bodies, Two men and one woman.
It was impossible for them to have survived this catastrophe.
As Ra approached them, he noticed they all looked normal with not a single scratch or mark. But soon his eyes widened as he witnessed the three started consuming the pools of blood around them savoring each drop like Sekhmet once did. Their dark animalistic eyes now brightened and illuminated a different color with a golden shimmer around the pupil. One had bright blue eyes, the other brown, and the last lurid green.
Ra was amazed at how beautiful these humans were. They penetrated lust and appeal and even Ra could not look away from them.
Their eyes peered forward to Ra and immediately stopped what they were doing.
"Bow to me, for I am the creator of all." Ra demanded.
The three rested their hands on the grainy and bloody sand in submission, bowing down at his dark bloody feet.
His loincloth that was embedded with gold lace and rubies swayed in the wind as his gold armor plate rested on his chest. Using his magic, the iron steel mask that he wore of a hawks head dissolved before their eyes, showing his human form.
His tattoo markings glowed a neon blue that displayed along his cheeks and neck.
"What has happened to us, God of Ra, why do I thirst for blood?" The green-eyed one said looking up at him. His blonde lushes' locks meshed with blood making his hair more of a strawberry color. His throat felt dry and burned for a craving he did not know he would ever want. He placed his hand at his neck hoping the pain would stop.
"Why have we survived and no one else?" The brown-eyed one said darting gazes at the bodies around her. She looked away for a moment squeezing her lips shut as she tried to fight the urge to feed.
"It seems that some of Sekhmet's magic embedded into you three," Ra said, as his gold bracelet glimmered in the moonlight. "But all must come at a price to even the scales."
Ra knew all to well that with power comes weakness. The universe had its way of evening everything out.
He stretched his arms out gliding them along the path of were tons of lifeless bodies laid. The three survivors felt the ground began to shake as the sand started to engulf the corps beneath the earth. Soon it showed no signs of what had taken place only the remainders of memories that floated in the darkness.
Ra's telekinesis was one of the many abilities he had. Just like that, one swift gesture had the three upon their feet. "This is going to be interesting to watch." He said with a small smirk on his face gazing upon the three.
And just like that, Ra disappeared, leaving the three survivors alone in a world they would soon devour.
