Rushing up the fastest she could because she was still climbing up to get to the entrance to the cave, she pushed herself until she reached it and it led to a group of stairs. Rushing down, with no worries about her own safety she paused at the top of the main room when she saw what looked like normal men holding a woman down with a knife to her throat. Vampires didn't need weapons.

"LET HER GO!" Dasia yelled out to the group.

They all turned and looked at her, no they weren't vampires. More than likely some high kids who had no idea what the hell they were doing. However the very scared girl was crying and pleading as she tried to escape her predicament. None of these morons had any idea what they were doing. Walking forward Dasia held herself back and stood tall and strong as if trying to intimidate them.

"You have no idea what a mess you are about to make." Dasia said as the group then began to chuckle.

"She isn't our first kill red, just something to keep the vampires at bay, we spill the blood and take off so they can feast." the man with the knife said as he looked at his group of misfits.

"One girl is enough for more than one vampire? I don't see how that is possible let alone sustainable. Is there proof there actually are vampires here or do you just leave them to bleed out and rot alone?" Dasia questioned them as she slowly continued to walk forward.

There were four to her left and she could see them out of her peripheral vision, the three infront seemed to be the leaders of the small group and she could tell one here was questioning things now since he gulped nearly every time she took a breath. He was questioning all the things his little gang had told him no doubt.

"Your silence isn't very reassuring. Murder is still murder. Let her go and you guys never come back here. No one has to know." she lied, she'd already committed their faces to her memory and she never forgot a face.

Something surprised her though, she could hear movement in the background. None of the little group had moved so she was about to attribute it to a small animal or rodent, she didn't have time to think, someone came up behind her and hit her over the head, making her vision go black as she tumbled down into darkness.

"I told ya man! We ain't here for the vampires! We are trying to become like them! How else can we do that then by drinking blood?!" Dasia could hear one of the moronic men muttering that to someone.

"We got two now, just do what we have before and drain them so we can get out of here." another one said as Dasia slowly blinked her eyes open.

She felt weight around her neck, wrists, waist, thighs and ankles. Great, she was bound by something. No doubt they had taken her phone away from her too. This wasn't a good situation at all. Hearing whimpering coming from her left, she knew the girl was still alive as well. Licking her lips due to them feeling dry at the moment she tried to come up with a plan.

"We better do something fast, it's past dusk and I hate being here at night!" another called out.

"Cowards." Dasia said showing no fear at all.

"Oh good, the fiery one is awake. Who are you calling a coward lady?'' the one with green tips and spiky black hair said as he walked up.

"All of you, instead of fighting me you sneak up on me and knock me out. What kind of man can't even take on one woman? You all are just a bunch of cowards." She stated confidently again.

"Says the one held down by rusty chains, you shouldn't have come, lady. Now we gotta drain you too." the man said, pulling out a large knife. "Maybe yours will be the one that turns us."

"That's not how you turn, a vampire has to turn you. Are you really that stupid?" Dasia said just as the guy raised his hand up but suddenly the lights around the room flickered.

Dasia looked around to the best of her ability, her neck was being weighed down by a chain after all but she didn't see anything that would cause her to think that someone had come to rescue her or the girl.

"Just get on with it Duncan!" a male called out.

Ah, so Duncan was the leader's name. The girl beside her whimpered as she tried the best she could to pull on her chains to try and get her freedom.

"With your blood, we can be like them." Duncan said as he lifted the blade higher.

"I'm not a vampire!" Dasia yelled spoking Duncan enough to pull away for a second.

That's when all the lights in the room went out. She could hear the sound of chains from beside her but figured that was the girl still trying to escape. Then she heard a gurgling sound and it sounded horrible. Screams erupted from the room as she could hear people scrambling all around her. Then suddenly everything was silent and the lights blinked back on. She was still alive and she felt the chains had been lifted from her body. Slowly sitting up, she looked around to see the men were dead all around her. Their necks are a brutal evidence of their demise.

"Hate posers." a male voice said, gaining her attention.

Turning to her right, she saw a man with blood all over his deformed vampiric face looking right at her. He had blonde spikey hair, wore a long black trench coat and clothes that belonged back in the 80's.

"One ass got away." another called out from the top of the stairs.

Looking his way she saw another vampire staring down at her, he wore a crop top and patch work jacket. His hair was also blonde but she couldn't make out much since he was standing far away from her.

"Paul, go catch our dessert." the leader smiled as another man walked out of the shadows.

Ok were all the vampires here blonde or something because the last three had been. This one had feathered long blonde hair though, white pants with long boots and a mesh black top. None of them seemed to belong in the current century. The vampire saluted his leader and took off up the stairs to find the last mortal who got away.

"Dwayne, Marko get down here and let's start cleaning this place up. Too many bodies will stink the place up." the leader called out to the one at the top of the stairs.

Hearing something right beside her, she looked and saw a tall tan man with long dark hair looking right at her. Gulping she tried to get a better look at him, he wore a black leather jacket and no shirt, well that would be hard to forget.

"What about her?" the person beside her asked their leader.

"The other girl got away and we don't need this one, I think we'll be full for a while. Don't you think miss?" the leader said as he walked right up to her. "What's your name Red?"

Dasia was unsure what to do, she knew that she knew a secret about her blood they did not. Adrian had told her about it the last time he had to fight off a vampire, one dared to barely scrape his forearm but the minute an immortal's blood was in the system of a vampire, it would kill them nearly instantly.

"Dasia." she answered, trying to keep her voice in a calm and even tone.

"Dasia, now that is a name I haven't heard before. Different but has a nice ring to it. I'm David, Paul went hunting, the one up there is Marko and you've met Dwayne and now you are in on our little secret. No one can know we're back, not until we're ready to announce our resurrection." David grinned as he looked Dasia up and down.

"Whatever you say David, I've no reason to make enemies with vampires." she nodded as though to act like she was scared, even though she wasn't.

"Good, well Dasia, unless you want to help clean up...Dwayne grab the lady a jacket to cover up with so she won't catch a cold." David chuckled, walking away from her.

That made her look down, her black shirt had been slashed multiple times and there were even blood stains but her immortality took over and healed them before anyone could see. Dwayne took off his own jacket and wrapped it around her shoulders.

"I'll be wanting that back, even if I have to come get it from you." he told her with no emotion in his voice or facial expression.

"I've no reason to keep it, just enough to keep me covered, I'll return it to you whenever I can find you." Dasia said as she slowly hopped down off the table.

However, it turns out she had lost some blood because the minute her feet hit the ground, her legs went weak and she nearly tumbled to the ground. She then felt a pair of arms helping her to stand up, looking opposite of where Dwayne had been standing, she saw Marko was the one helping her to stand up.

"Take it easy now, those asses took a lot from you, even put it in jars but Paul tossed them." Marko said as he gently smiled at her.

Those assholes took her blood?! Thank goodness one had dumped it out because it would have killed all of them if they drank it. Nodding she watches as Marko takes her arm and wraps it around his neck.

"Use me for support, I'll get ya home." he winked at her, oh great, a flirt vampire.

"Hurry Marko, I am sure Dwayne wants his jacket back and we still need to go on our walk." David called out to the smaller vampire.

Marko helped Dasia up the stairs and looking out the new exit which was on the side of the rocky hill she realized her shoes were also missing. Looking down she groaned and could only imagine where those idiots had taken her shoes too. Picking her up as if she weighed nothing, Marko held her close and chuckled.

"Hold on tight Red, flying isn't for everyone." he warned her.

Eyes went wide as she wrapped her arms around Marko's neck then closed her eyes. He had no idea where she lived though so where exactly was he going to take her? She sighed in relief as she felt them land, she opened her eyes and saw they were beside the boardwalk which wasn't too far from her house.

"I don't know where you live so you'll have to give me directions from here." Marko chuckled, embarrassed he had gotten ahead of himself.

"There's a cottage just a few miles down the beach, that's where I live. It's light blue with a white roof." she told him and he nodded as he squinted as if looking down the beach from their location.

"Got it, I'm just gonna carry you though cause I'm too tired to fly sorry." he explained to her as he started to walk.

"I get it, that's why we don't run all the time even though it's faster right?" she smiled.

Nodding he considered her words, she was right running was faster just like flying but it could tire them out easily. Finally getting to the deck, he did fly up to the deck at least. Marko gently sat her down on the deck chair and she untangled her hands from behind his neck.

"Thank you Marko, nice of a vampire to keep alive the only person who knows that you guys are back." Dasia said skeptical of their reasoning.

"I don't like killing, honestly who does, I'll be real with you. I don't know why David kept you alive but I think you'll be cool to hang with if you are down with that?" Marko shrugged, clearly he was not the decision maker of the group.

That was not normal language for someone from this time either. She was curious but decided that was a conversation best left for a better time.

"I'd like that Marko, be safe wherever you go, ok?" she said, showing genuine concern for the vampire before her.

"Ah, ya care. Thanks Red, it's been a while since anyone told me that. You too and hope to see ya soon!" Marko said before turning and jumping off her deck.

Quickly standing up to make sure he didn't just become vampire pudding on the sand, she saw him looking up at her and winking before taking off down the beach.

"They're back, only took over 30 years and I wonder who did it?" Chris said as he walked out of her house. "They didn't try to bite you either?"

"No, if anything, they saved me and another girl." Dasia answered as she turned back to Chris. "I don't believe they kept me alive just for the hell of it though, that leader knows something, the people they killed took jars of my blood yet they tossed them. He knows something is up with me."
