Mom Choice
Well this morning was eventful.
"Mom and I've been under a bridge and slept in a car because we had no place to go, cause jerk face was a priceless pain who couldn't deal with money at all. And where you there for your own daughter's birth? No! So I want you to shut up right now and sit down. K." Why do I have to explain this to him. I thought to myself after saying all that.
"You have no-" my dad starts but I cut him off.
"And you have no right yourself, especially when we're deciding where Kales going. So shut up." I hiss.
"Now there, Kayla's my-" again he starts and I cut him off.
"Yeah, and you weren't there to claim her, so as far as I'm concerned Sam is the only one that even related to you." After saying that I start off to the meeting room. By blood and name anyway.
"Alice! Where do you think you're going! I'm not done talking to you!"
Oh shut up, I thought. "Well I'm done talking to you." I say as I turn the corner.
Walking through the blue and white government building, where my thoughts came to life to hunt me. Maybe they'll be a better life elsewhere.

"So, Alice. How have you been?" Mom asks me.
"Pretty good for me," I tell mom, not wanting her to worry, "But Kayla going to one of the government schools. So I wanted to know where you want her to go." I hand her information about the government schools they have. Mom flips through it carefully and thoroughly. I start drawing a picture in my sketchbook, taking a little more of the silence away from the boxed white room.
"Well." Mom says after a while, "I would say the best place for her is Swamp Crammore."
That's a good one, she'll love it there. She can be active and get educated at the same time. I think as mom hands me back the paper work.
"Oh, you said you all so wanted to go to one of the schools right." Mom says gingerly.
"Yeah, I would really like it to be Ivy Wonder but.." I tell feeling uncertain. It was the only one with arts, Business classes, and a STEM team that was actually good.
"I think that would be the best place for you. So why do you look so uncertain?" She says with a confused smile.
I blush a little, darn it, it showed on my face. "Well," I start, "Dad doesn't want me to."
"Well then, tell him I said he has no choice in the matter." Mom says, taking the information from my hands again and took out the two of the application forms need for the schools. One saying Swamp Crammore, in big bold lettering. And the other saying Ivy Wonder, in large fantastic letters. I looked at mom with wonder in my eyes, she smiled. Then handed me something, than as I read through it I released it was a list of things I need to pack.
"No way." I'm kind of surprised.
"Yes way." She says handing me an envelope with something thick in it. I take it from her and flip it over a couple of times.
"Can I-" I was about to ask, when mom cuts me off.
"Yes." She says in a sweet voice. I hold the envelope up and carefully tire it open. Once open I look inside and all most have a heart attack. It's over 3 million dollars in cash. I look over at the armor reinforcer at the door and he nodded.
"That should take you through the school's year." She says in a careful tone. This isn't just for the year, this might as well be for all three of our life times.
"Thanks mom." Is all I can manage to say.
"Your welcome." She says kindly before I'm sent out of the room again. But they allowed me to leave her the picture I had made in the room.
That boxed prison room was the last place I saw her for a long time.
