*Jungkook POV*
I sniffled again and brought the tissues to my nose, blowing into the soft paper as my body shook with the strong memory of the horrible events of the day.
"She just killed him…she killed our professor…" I felt my throat tighten as images of her kept flashing in my mind. Her lips, her nails, her gun, her coat…I couldn't get it out of my darn head.
"I know. I'm so sorry, Kook." Dad hugged me tighter and massaged my arm comfortingly. The silence of the old building was not doing it's calming effect like usual…It just made me feel like I was being hunted.
"She knew my name…she ran after me…out of all the people on campus…she wanted me." I gulped and shut my eyes tightly, feeling a suffocating sense of fear from the cruel look in her eyes and the merciless way her mouth curled into a smile after she murdered an innocent man.
"It's okay…you're safe now. When the police questioned us they told us she was apprehended. She can't hurt you." He leaned back and smiled softly, the wrinkles around his eyes deepening.
"I know that…I just feel unsafe. I feel afraid. You didn't see her….she practically radiates death." I shuddered and sat up, wanting the whole interaction with her to be burned from my mind.
"Man up, Jungkook. If you let one bad event shake you like this then how are you supposed to become a doctor that deals with stuff like this all the time?" He stared me in the eyes seriously, although he was loving he could be harsh to a degree. He didn't manage himself well and the unshaven hairs on his face just further proved that. But he would do anything to take care of me.
"I'm sorry." I wiped my eyes and looked down in shame. He's right. It was one bad event, I can't be so shaken up about.
"You're right, dad, I'm not gonna be afra-" The sharp screech of glass breaking made me freeze and go silent. My mouth ran dry as I looked at dad fearfully.
"Oh hush, it's just those damn kids again. Stay here." His tone was reassuring but the way his fists formed readily caught my eye and it had me panicking. He left the large room and I sat there in the deathly silence, twiddling with my fingers as the paranoia crept in.
It won't be long now. Why would she say that? And why was she so calm when the police took her away? Oh God, I'm sorry…I'm so sorry, please forgive me….
A sudden thud made me tense up and the hairs on the back of my neck stood as the slow click of heels echoed behind me. I was petrified, I couldn't move, my breaths were coming out so loudly it nearly blocked out the sound of my pounding heart. Then finally, from the light that was turned on behind me, rose a shadow on the ground in front of me.
She was behind me.
Her hat, her coat, her long fingers, the shadow grew bigger and closer and finally she stopped and let out a soft sigh. Tears ran down my face as I slowly started to turn my head. I couldn't get any further cause at that moment she grabbed my hair and wrenched my head back, forcing me to look up at her insidious smile.
She bit her lip and stared at me with dark, hazy eyes. Her irises changing as she focused on me. Leaning down with a near-unhearable chuckle she whispered in my ear, forcing my body to go rigid with fear.
"Did you miss me, baby?"
