***

It was strange, it hadn't felt the same.

Had she expected it to?

Sort of, but perhaps that's what happens when you confound a muggle into believing that you're actually the right age in renting a hotel room and well...

Aria knew there was a lot of built-up tension leading up to this moment, and sure it was divine—But it wasn't him.

There was this sinking feeling in her chest, one that hadn't left for the following days.
Something was different, it was on the tip of her tongue but she couldn't fathom what it was.

But the second time proved better than the first, and she started feeling elevated that perhaps there was still a chance to move on. And sure enough the two fell in sync, it was as if nothing had happened with Rabastan.

That his parcels weren't gaining, that her conversing with those in Britain was slowly declining as she felt dissociative to the country. Especially when she had dinners over the Proctor's, or enjoyed herself with the Halliwells.

She realized why she wanted to go to Ilvernomorny, but it made no sense to transfer now.

No...It was better to just though the next two years and await for Darthmont Academy, Aria overshared each and every detail about it.

But Aidan had been the one to ask, he was intrigued and wanted to know all of it because he was diving into the world of potions as well.

Just another reason Aria loved Aidan, because he understood her fascination. Even if he was born in the magical world, he never faulted Aria for not knowing something or acting overly cautious.

She grew up with magic right alongside Aidan and that was an experience she wouldn't forget, and to add to the growing list against Rabastan—He ruined her first few minutes within Hogwarts.

Though she supposed she met Black much better and his caring attitude towards her.

Very protective, both him and Regulus.

However Aria was dealing with a slight stomach bug at the moment and was resting in her bed with a book propped and her belly to the bed.

Her team hadn't won the state championship, but it was brilliant never the less.

Aidan had heard that she wasn't feeling all that great and decided to come over with a few tonics and soup he managed to cook up for her that afternoon, granted he was still wearing his work attire and that in itself made her smile.

"Feeling better sunshine?"
"Yeah, Mike's just being overly cautious."
"I would be too, a healthy witch shouldn't be throwing up. But this is the easiest to keep down. Mama Proctor's famous chicken noodle." Aria hummed as she took the travel container in her hands and eyed what else was in the basket.

"Did you want to take a shower?" She asked, and he shrugged but agreed never the less. Heading off to his designated draw to get a pair of jeans and a t-shirt before heading into the bathroom.

But just as Aria had popped open the top of the lid, the scent of the chicken brother had erupted into her nose and caused her to place it down and race back to the bathroom.

Aidan had stayed planted in place for an accounted minute before kneeing down beside her and collecting her hair into a tail to ensure it wouldn't get in the way.

"Sunshine...?" He questioned, but the acid in her system was still destined to come out as she heaved further into the rim of the toilet.

He touched her shoulder for a moment before leaving her side to fill up a glass of water, and it vanished it just a few gulps. He filled it up once again before sitting down beside her, leaning against the wall in a face of worry and concern.

But Aria tried to sort over her body's warning sirens, what was wrong?

"Aria...? Sunshine, d-did you eat something that could've—"

"I haven't been able to keep anything down, and all I did was smell the broth and it..." She gagged a tad bit in remembrance, but it wasn't the soup's fault. Something was wrong with her immune system, and so he ran a diagnostic.

But it showed nothing.

"Aria maybe I should bring you to the—" "I'm not going to the hospital over a stomach bug." "Ari stomach bugs don't last days, maybe it's an allergic reaction. What have you been brewing in the labs lately?" She shrugged but pointed to her work journal off her desk that might be able to help, however in seeing a calendar...The thought occurred.

"What?... Did you figure it out?" Aria had to count of her bloody fingers to make sure, but sweet goddess—Sweet Diana herself wouldn't be able to save her.

"Fuck." She cursed, and Aidan chuckled. "Sure it can't be that bad, makes sense to take off a few days, even I'm allergic—"

"Aidan?"
"Y-yes?" She turned off towards him with a gaze of pure fear that made him shiver.

"W-we didn't use protection." He was about to question until the sheer level of shock graced his features, and before he could manage to say another word Aria had burst into tears.

"Aria..." He mumbled, guilt wracking every fiber of his being. He hadn't thought—He hadn't—He assumed that she would've been taking something when she was with that Brit, but it was obvious that hadn't been the case.

"I've—I've never had to do that sort of thing—He—He'd always just do it—It was like a second nature and now—Oh gods." Her explanation was filled with hiccups, utter panic taking over and Aidan was unable to give her any sense of comfort when he too was feeling the weight of the situation.

"Aria...I'm so sorry." He said, his own emotion taking hold as he couldn't imagine what thoughts were coursing through her head. But somehow Aidan had managed to pull through, he lifted her up from the floor and was careful in placing her onto her bed and quickly made his food basket scarce.

Worried that the food had triggered her...Symptoms.

"Sunshine...I'm going to go to the Apothecary, I'll be back in ten minutes, alright?... And we'll check." Her knees had already bunched up to meet her chin as she nodded, giving him a sign that she made out what he had said...Though it wasn't much more than that. He leaned down to kiss her temple, and already he could feel the massive array of dread that coursed through every square inch of her being.

"Ten minutes...That's all." He whispered, Aria caught that his own voice sounded off, yet he quickly apperated to the closest apothecary in hopes of getting a pregnancy test.

A pregnancy test.

Aria could've laughed if someone told her this is where she would've been last year, that she screwed around with the biggest enemy she has at Hogwarts, was cheated on and then found herself in the arms of Aidan—Where they mistakenly forgot about the most important detail in the record of it all.

Instinctively she had her hand fall down to feel her stomach, her tum was not protruding but her menstrual cycle was late. And from the start of it, there hardly have been any missed dates.

But she was a week late.

A burning tear ran down her face as she prayed silently to the goddesses to not bless this gift on her yet, in the future—In the future, she would be welcoming of the said child.

She smiled fondly at the idea, that after having a mistress title, holding a small babe to her chest and enjoying the idea of being a mum.

But that was for later, not when she was entering her sixth year. And now with a wizard who was just as young as she is.

Aidan had rushed back into the room under the amount of time he promised, and he laid the dozens of bottles and boxes onto the bed before Aria.

And she blinked in confusion.

"T-they had muggle tests...I remember my cousin used it, you just er—" Aria nodded after reading the box, but after reading the bottles she realized that those would take longer. Meaning she had to prink her finger, or in reality it was Aidan who had to. As her hands were shaking far too violently.

At least she knew one thing, the child would be his. It'd be Aidan's.

She took that as another blessing as she excused herself to go and relieve herself on the four different muggle sticks. And when she returned a few moments later with clean hands, capped tests. They laid them all out on the floor of her bedroom as she sat in his lap.

Awaiting the first sight of change.

"Sunshine I'm...I'm so sorry."
"It's my fault, I should've—"
"Aria. I should've asked, I should've done something to prevent this from happening. But I didn't think...Ilvermorny has spells to prevent it in the school and I..." She nodded her head, but it was clear that the witch was still in a mess of turmoil.

Until one of the muggle devices had beeped in confirmation. Yet neither of them moved.

"Whatever it says, we'll—"
"I don't believe in ending an innocent life Aidan." He didn't think she would, and thus he cupped her cheeks so she wouldn't deviate from the eye contact. "I know you don't, and I'd never ask that of you. I'm saying that if you are, that we're going to figure it out. All of it." She agreed, smiling at his edge of confidence to the situation.

"Whatever happens..."
"Happens, and we'll go one step at a time." She sniffled one last time, letting a small kiss onto his before turning to one of the many muggle devices.

Her shoulders slumped. "Inconclusive...Course muggles wouldn't be able to know this early Bubbly."
"This one says negative, and it should be...Perhaps I read the box wrong." The two mulled over the likes of the test, and Michael—Having known to be the best at interrupting the two when they were studying or snogging decided it best to do it now.

"Hey Bubbles, I was wondering if you'd want to..." Michael stopped at a high pitch noise coming from his throat, he hadn't clue what he thought his sister and the Proctor boy were up to—Or he never wanted to know that the doors were closed at their relationship again.

"You've got to be fucking kidding me." Michael bustled, and Aria had gawked at his expression to the situation. She had started to calm down from the time of the first muggle test to the last, but now a harsh sob released into the air as Aidan rose to his feet.

She couldn't hear what the two were shouting about, but they were indeed shouting back and forth to one another in a fit of rage. Of course they were, Aidan thought it was the worst thing to be said in this instance while she was in a method of distress.

Was it unfair for an almost thirty-year-old man to lay hands on a sixteen-year-old? Probably not, especially when he's a trained Auror—But it was the physical contact that spiked her to join in, and she held up one of the many changed potions in term.

"It's negative! Stop! Stop it! Let go!" She cried, relief and shock still rendering in her system as she tried to stop the two from attacking the other. Yet it was an elbow connecting to Aria's nose that caused her to fall to the floor.

Sitting up for a moment did she the base of her nose with her finger, only to see the flood of blood gushing out. And although the other wizard attempt to help her up, she moved them away and attempt to stop the bleeding.

"Both of you are acting like bloody animals! And for what?!" She yelled, and instantly the disruption called for Eli to peek his head into the doorway, there was so much to look at between the bottles in the ground, his daughter's nose bleeding, either his son and Aidan sporting a face filled with swollen bits.

However Eli simply pulled a cloth from his jacket pocket and pressed it against Aria's nose. "I want an explanation. Now." He ordered, and Aria was unable to speak as the wizards attempt to defuse the situation with more yelling.

"I thought I was pregnant, but I'm not." She issued all in the failed breath, though it was slightly mumbled at the fact that he nose was still not letting up and thus...Eli rose from his seat.

"The both of you, downstairs." He ordered, leaving Aria to rise up to her feet as well. Only to be settled by both hands onto her shoulders. "Not you bubbles, you stay right here and I'll be back to fit that nose." He eyed the wizards darkly before the door to her room closed, it hadn't been all that long until he returned with an extra towel, a potion she could only assume for the pain and a class of water.

"Please don't be mad at Aidan, it was really my—" Eli refused to listen to any longer as he moved aside her silver locks and traded the towel, perhaps it was the years of being a father reigning in now, or running an all witches' school for the better part of his career.

But seeing her with a bloody nose and a tear stricken face was just too much for him to handle. "Chrissy is taking care of Aidan's nose and your brother is sulking downstairs...Tell me what happened bubbles."
"Aidan brought me some soup after his shift and I puked after smelling it, I thought—I didn't know." He nodded, working so calmly as he continued to simply wipe the fresh set of tears.

"Then Chrissy will take you to the healers so we know for sure...Ah ah, no arguments. I know you aren't a fan of hospitals and healers but one of us will be right there with you bubbles." She nodded in agreement but still felt shiver rush down her spine.

Especially when they heard a crash coming from downstairs along with a shout from Chrissy.

Eli hadn't had enough time to tell Aria to stay downstairs, to see Aidan against the wall with Michael holding him by the hem of his shirt.

It was Aria who recalled that magic was a possibility and she pushed her brother away from Aidan before standing in front of him. "What the bloody fuck is happening?!" She stated, more so to gauge the room.

But Michael held up the potion, and her face paled.

"Beating some manners into your boyfriend Ari, it—"
"Violence is never the answer and I shouldn't be the one to tell you. He isn't Lestrange!" Chrissy blinked, taking hold of the potion from her son and examining it before sighing.

"Sweetheart I think we should go to the healers."
"Yes, I've said just as much. Perhaps it'd be better to go now." Aria pouted, but nodded in record of it being the best idea while Aidan was dealing with a swollen lip and cheek.

"I'll come—"
"No you most certainly are not." Michael thought it would've been a supporting matter, but instead she chose Aidan to come along. But Ben calmed him down, claiming that if Aria is pregnant then Aidan should be the first to know.

However when Aria was sitting in the bare minimum with Aidan sitting at the chair just a few feet away, and both Eli and Chrissy in the waiting room...It didn't help that every single thing made her jump.

That her fists hadn't uncurled since she was asked to sit down and undress into the provided robe. And although he asked if she was alright or needed anything after the curtain had moved and the healers ran the given tests.

"Sunshine..."
"I'm fine."
"I know you're not, we were told negative then positive then—"
"If it happens Aidan it happens, there's nothing we can do now." She instated, but then a slight smile cracked in her stone expression.

"Aidan...I would love to be a mother, I'm not against being a parent or having children. Especially with you, please don't think my reaction iss because of you. But I...We're too young Aidan, we are so career-oriented that I wouldn't want us to have to choose between—" Aidan had risen to his feet and kissed her, and she smiled lightly that he understood what she was attempting to tell him.

"I love you." He whispered, and she received a final kiss to her nose. And for the first time that day she had started to feel a sense of clarity.

"Will we have to cancel Hawaii?" She asked, she was entirely excited to go and enough real warm weather before having to go and endure the cold Scotland weather.

"Nah, we're going no matter the results. But maybe no volcano tour." She perked her lips, but she had to stop herself from smiling at his over-protective nature. But it was all at the idea that he wanted the best for the child, their child.

"Ms.Roswell? Mr.Proctor? Thank you for being patient, I just had a word with Mr. and Mrs. Crawford in the waiting room, and we compared the results to what is known on a spiritual level. You are not pregnant Ms.Roswell, your blood pressure is considered high and the priestess will be in a moment to lessen the rates. However, I do recommend going over proper contraception techniques, whether it's a muggle device that Mr.Proctor will have or Ms.Roswell, there are muggle medication and tonics that could be taken monthly." The healer continued to go over spells that would be beneficial for this to not happen again.

"Do I need a prescription for the monthly tonic?" The healer was very informative, and that's what Aria favored in talking with a witch. And after the blood test they found the correct one that would help her, and if anything it would stop her bleeding during her menstrual cycles for the most part, and Aria couldn't hate any part of that.

"I'll pay for it."
"Merlin could you quit it, you spent enough with the tests back at home." She chimed in, but as she moved aside the curtain he was already pocketing the parchment. Which caused her to offer her hand out right before him with a solid glare.

"Aidan John Proctor you give me that bloody piece of parchment this instant or we're not going to Hawaii." He gawked, completely taken back by her threat and he quickly provided it back to her.

"I'm paying half."
"I'm making a hefty paycheck each week now Aidan, I don't know why you keep offering to pay when—"
"It's partially my fault." She rolled her eyes and they decided that he would buy those suggested muggle contraptions in addition to her birth control.

However in seeing Eli and Chrissy she smiled and shook her head. "Let's go back home before Michael starts breaking the living room." She bustled, and Aidan said that he would see her tomorrow as it was probably best that he didn't show his face at the Crawford home for a few days.

And it was defiantly for the better, but Eli wrapped his arms around Aria's shoulders and helped her into a travel coat. "No pouting, not after this heart attack you've given me today young lady. And that's the second one this summer."
"Third if you count before I came back—I'll shut up now." He chuckled, but never the less aided her into getting through the floo and back home.

Simone and Emma had been the first to rush over and question, while Michael had been forced to remain at the couch with Ben standing guard.

Terms of 'thank the goddess' had been passed around, but Aria had felt insanely guilty and thus...She decided to punish herself, she had come straight home after the following days of work and hadn't dared asked to go out.

Michael knew what she was doing, but when he talked to his dad he found out that it wasn't on his punishment. It was her own, but perhaps it was for the better, to ground herself.

That scare had made him quake inside, it wasn't that he didn't think Aria was responsible enough. It was more on the idea that she was a child herself, she was freshly sixteen.

Instead she prided herself into learning another talent, and it was rather simple after having a slight background in violin when Mrs.Blachard was desperate for some creative way to have background music while the rest sung a religious tune during holidays.

She bought a rather beautiful autistic guitar, and just to humor Sirius later she said she'd bring it to Hogwarts. And in contacting with Lily and begrudgingly telling her what happened, the two decided that they were going to use their muggle connections and not have a damn care in the world who was looking.

Aria was going to wear jeans every chance she got to enrage her cheating and lying, and Lily was going to bring muggle pens and embrace being the 'mudblood' that Severus cursed at her that faithful day.

Michael didn't know what was worse, Aria being in Hawaii or the stack of letters that Lestrange lad was sending every week. He smirked as his father told him that the boy was getting a lil more desperate, but that is when packages started to arrive.

And although Michael was tempted to open it, he was denied as one, it is illegal to open another witch or wizard's mail. But his father had a slight inkling that whatever was inside wasn't something that either of them wanted to see.

And Michael gagged at the idea, but the damned thing was that more packages came rather than parcels.

Yet it was the letter from McGonagal that Eli forwarded off towards Hawaii, and Aria hadn't been prepared for the news at all.

Wyatt, the boy from The Fountain of Angels...Is a muggle-born.

Aidan had watched in pure excitement how she took this new information, not only would Wyatt be introduced to this world with her, but she would get to see him again. But that meant she would be leaving earlier than planned, yet that was in the coming week—They were still enjoying the warm sun and Aidan relished in how overprotective his girlfriend's brother was. Trying to inflict a curfew, but he knew it came from a good heart.

And Aria needed a bit of redirecting some of the time, but now? Now she thrived on schedules and hated surprises, but she recalled what Sirius had said.

Remember to have fun.

So when she told him that she'd be leaving the book in Massachusetts when she was off on vacation, he was more than relieved.
