"Imara!"
"Imara!"
"Merlin Fred, she's taken to ignore us!"
"I think you're right George, but I think it's the reminder that you cannot prank us without getting a taste of what you've done in return." Imara herself had simply rolled her eyes, it wasn't that and so she turned without much of a warning but managed a step backward since the twins struggled to stop. "It's not that, mum and dad are coming for a game soon! I've hardly had any practices because the damn Gryffindors and Slytherins have taken up the pitch!" She said with a damned huff and the two laughed.
"That's why you've got your panties in a twist?" Fred questioned and Imara's cheeks instantly flared.
"My panties aren't your concern, Weasley. Nor will they ever be." She said with her chin tilted up, though she winked. Earning a similar reaction of reddened cheeks going straight to his ear.
"Oi! Not while I'm here, alright? Besides, we can help you practice. Pitch is free now, why hasn't the Ravenclaw's schedule it?" George said with a disgusted shiver coursing through his body.
"I'm not sure, Flitwick isn't really supportive of playing with Dementors outside. That and I think mother complained or another parent." The twins seemingly smirked at the same time.
"I doubt it was Madam Lestrange," George claimed.
"But Mister Lestrange...? Has a bit of experience with 'em, doesn't—" Fred attempted, but Imara had whacked him with her spare book. "I have half the mind to never speaking to you again, did you really just make an Azkaban joke?!" She hissed, and the twin frowned, realizing that it wasn't at all that funny.
"God, I can't even imagine how dad felt in hearing it happened to Rom!" She said into her hand, looking more than stressed than before. "Let me make it up to you—We'll help on the pitch. We'll go right now!" He said, taking one hook of her arm while George took the other.
"Let me go you brutes!" She yelled, their height had outweighed and basically picked her up so where she didn't have to rise to walk on her own. "Not a chance love, besides, we're on the hunt for your brother." He deemed and she continued to try to touch the floor only to huff in damnation.
"You know, I was going to ask, but I think it'd save me my last bit of sanity if I just ignored it." Romulus had said walking towards them and turning the corner.
"Romulus you bloody traitor! Mum said birds stick together!" Which caused his head to hang low, and turned back around to sting one of the twins (Not that he was aiming at either in particular), to get the message across.
"Oi! That was hardly necessary! We were just taking your sister to the pitch—Going to help her practice before the game, would you like to join?" Fred claimed, rubbing his free hand to sooth his burning arse. And that caused the elder Lestrange to smirk.
"Alright...Butterbeer is on me tomorrow then, let's go— I'll grab Cara from the potion's lab. She could work on her throw." The twins instantly smiled at the thought and continued to carrying Imara as they had, and Romulus laughed with a taunt of 'you should've been nicer to me this summer then sissy!' And that had been the end of it.
It hadn't been that difficult to catch Cara as she had just been going into the Ravenclaw common room. "Grab two sweaters, we're going to the pitch."
"Er...Did we have a practice that I didn't hear about, I could've sworn that I'd write it down—"
"Nah. Gryffindors are going to help us, and you need to work on your—"
"My throw is fine, brother!" She said with a huff but followed in pursuit anyhow.
With her quidditch jumper on and an extra for Imara, the two siblings continued off towards the pitch. It hadn't been that cold outside, but it surely wasn't as nice as before.
Cara's eyes scanned the field, as she couldn't see the rest of Gryffindor's Romulus said would be here and instead hurried to the girl's locker room to get her gear on. But it was always colder in the sky and thus, she put on another layer as her sister had.
"I thought you said the Gryffindors were going to be here to help?"
"Oh, I meant the twins...Why? Expecting someone else?" Romulus teased, and she had her broom start to clatter with his. "Sod off."
And unfortunately for Cara, the twins had heard.
"Oooo, you hear that George?"
"What's that George?"
"Lil Lestrange fancies someone in Gryffindor!" Fred cheered and Cara huffed with a stomp to her foot in the ground. "No I don't!"
Cara hadn't come to be interrogated and she pouted up to her brother for help, and instead it was Imara's help as she stood in front of her sister. "Enough of that, Cara's not interested in boys yet. Besides, there's much more at stake right now. Mum and dad are coming to a game soon." The youngest on the field had whispered out her fear and pouted.
Either of the Weasley twins had caught the sudden spike of panic to be the best—But not in the sense of needing to be, they simply wanted to show how they improved and would take the cup this year.
"So...Which Gryffindor were you hoping to spot?" Fred said, letting his elbow lean onto the little bird and she glared upwards. "I wouldn't be talking, I saw you staring at my sister' arse for the past five minutes."
"She does have a beautiful arse and personality. And I'd see it as a mutual agreement...I help you, you help me."
"Or I can tell my father and he just kills you." She said with a slight smirk because she knew outright that Imara most likely informed her friends much she had told Vivian.
Or as Ronan had told his mates—Excluding Malfoy at the moment because he still had a hissy fit. "You wouldn't..."
"No, and I won't be telling you jack all!"
"It isn't hard, there's a few strapping young lions for you to tame...Ronald, is it? Do you like the red hair like your siser?" Cara shook her head and huffed at her instance of being too honest.
"No, I think Maya is a bit of flirt, course Hermione will get there soon."
"Ah, alright—You're not wrong there. Hmm. Neville—Dean—Seamus—Harry—It's Harry!"
"Oh shut up shut up! My brothers will kill him!" She hissed, and Fred continued to laugh at her as though it'd been the secret of the century. "It's not strange at all, he's fairly handsome—"
"And the 'boy who lived?' Surely the daughter of a famous potion mistress would know the life in the spotlight."
"Or the opposite considering I've been in America up until my siblings had come to Hogwarts and he too waited until his letter." Fred's smile didn't dwindle at all and clicked his tongue.
"We're going off to Hogshead tomorrow, brother promised butterbeer—Bet Potter would love his first butterbeer with you." Cara bit her lip and shook her head, her anxiety would not agree with her otherwise, nor would her stomach.
"No, that's alright. I bet he wants to hang out with his mates instead."
"You sure?...Won't be that difficult to tempt him with a butterbeer with a pretty gal lik—" It had been a wrongful moment outright where Romulus had overheard, and with the power of both his broom's speed and the projection of his throw. It managed to send Fred flying into the ground with a groan to his back. "Bloody hell was that for?!"
"Flirting with both of my sisters constitutes to bloody anything, mate. Now get your arse up here or you'll be paying for the tab!" With that the two remaining on the ground had risen up to the occasion—Playing fast and hard.
By the end of it, the five of them had lounged in the grass in the center of the pitch, downing their water bottles and watching the Dementors from afar.
"What do you suppose a Dementor for a Boggart means?" Cara questioned the group it caused Romulus to frown. "I wondered what Professor Lupin had that boggart out for, how did you do?"
"I er—Well I used the wrong spell for a Boggart, but I figured it soon enough when it wasn't chased away. Very interesting really, it reacted just like a Dementor!" Cara had always a thirst for knowledge, and Romulus chuckled—Surely a third-year shouldn't be thinking of the schematics of a Dementor or a Boggart but here she is.
"I got ten points for Ravenclaw Rommy!"
"Oh thank gods, I lost twenty with these two nitwits. Thanks love." Imara said putting her bottle in the air and the twins simply grinned at the fact that they were finally starting to break Cara out of her shell.
As Romulus and Imara had been worried, but it was finally starting to trickle in. Leaving Romulus to guess if that was how his mother had been throughout her first two years as well.
Even if with their father, her brother and the rest of the band.
While leaving the pitch, the fates had been on the twins side in ruining the little birds life. And in record of keeping to their promise to Imara. "Potter! Where you off to?" It was clear that Harry hadn't been prepared to get called upon out in the middle of the hall, nor by one of the twins—Better yet, he eyed them curiously.
"Er, did we have practice?"
"Nah, helping these birds out for their game next week...You want to join us for butterbeer tomorrow? Lestrange is paying." Romulus rolled his eyes, the twins would surely manage to get a whole crowd with the fact that he was covering the tab but Harry nodded.
"A-alright sure, yeah that sounds great." He said, his boyish charm leaving Cara in a daze before she shook herself off. With the rest of the group departing, Cara had taken up walking with Harry to the library—Needing to return a book.
"I would've joined you if you'd asked," Harry claimed and he watched the Ravenclaw shrug from the blind spot of his glasses. "The twins offered, it was very last minute. Professor Flitwick isn't that supportive to have practice with the Dementors about." The mention of said dark creature caused them both to pause, but Harry looked...Well he looked more than defeated.
"T-that spell you used—What was it?"
"Oh Harry I'm not the one you should be asking, really. That's a really difficult spell to use, and mine only came out partially. I'm sure Professor Lupin would be more than happy to help." His defeated nature came up again and she reached out to his wrist.
"Would you like to go and see if we can read about it? Or I can ask my mum, she's very good at answering questions like this if you don't want to involve a professor." He let out a rather numb nod and Cara could only aid him with a smile.
