Either Rabastan or Aurora had failed in getting a wink of sleep, it was barely six when he finally had enough and went to take a shower.

He kindly left his wife with a kiss when leaving the bed and leaving the room, and the leftover guilt of sharing his fears out in the open was making her heart flutter.

Me and my big mouth, I couldn't be quiet like Rudolphous asked.

Rory cuddled with Nymeria a bit more as she allowed her body to relax, especially if that is all that she would be getting in a sense of recharging.

But even then would she have to feed Cara soon, and a frown rallied as it came before she was prepared.

The mother wrapped a robe around her body as she walked through her manor, her hand rubbing her eyes as she yawned. Only to find Rabastan over the youngest munchkins, and a soft smile rallied.

"Is she awake?" He nodded, bending down to pick up his daughter as her little gurgles were starting to become more vocal by the moment.

Heading to the playroom and to the rocking chair had Rabastan joined her, sitting on the leg rest with the same stoic expression as he watched.

"We ignore him." She nodded, reaching her hand to interlock with his. Though he inched closer to not interrupt Cara any further.

"And we stay as long as you want Raba." He remembered when he had said something of the same when they were present at Regulus' funeral, but before she could add anything he broke down.

Kneeing before the rocking chair had he bowed his head, usually what would happen if he was asking for an apology. "I don't deserve your kindness kitten, I wasn't present for your father's passing and—"

"Don't dwell on it Raba, please...Today is about your mother. My father has been mourned." For the first time in almost a day had he smiled, especially when it was partially hidden by her caressing cheek.

"What time is it?"
"Eight...Daisy, could you make a kettle of my special brew?" The elf popped in and out after hearing and taking the order and going off to fulfill it.

His wife was taking care of his every whim, picking a black outfit to its entirety. As well as getting all the children and herself ready for the burial.

It was Aurora's first Lestrange funeral, as it called for a few distant cousins as well as Clarissa's side to ventured from France.

But it was the happy new couple in the corner that was making either Lestrange brother sick, and it only made Rory cuddle Cara further.

She promised herself and Rabastan that it wouldn't be respectful to make a scene here.

While Aurora held Cara, Rabastan held onto the eldest son in hopes of giving his father a message. But the elder wizard was already beside Lydia and Linda, as though he threw away one life for the one he craved before.

Rory took a watchful eye for her children, and she sat down beside Rabastan before his mother's beautiful gravestone. The wizard was silently sobbing as he looked at his mother's name, she was young...younger than Walburga for that matter.

"Is there...Is there a saying that I can..." He attempted, and Rory smiled as she took her husband's hand. It was times like this he wished he was as religious as his wife, her belief's made her stronger as it was the concept of having a higher power having your back.

"Goddess
Please untie the knots
That are in mind,
My heart and in my life.
Remove the have nots,
The can nots and the do nots
That I have in my mind.
Erase the will nots,
May nots,
Might nots that may find
A home in my heart.
Release me from the could nots,
Would nots and
Should nots that obstruct my life.
And most of all,
Goddess
I ask that you remove from my mind,
My heart my life all of the 'am nots'
That I have allowed to hold me back,
Especially the thought
That I am not good enough.
So Mote It Be."

He remembered it from Regulus' funeral, and he was sure it was spoken at her father's as well. It was light-hearted enough for him to feel the sense of renewal, he knew his mother adored Aurora and her religion. Here and now would it be an offering to a better life.

"God and Goddes of the skies,
Please allow me to follow
My day to day action.
Take action upon my cries,
Hear me today and love me always.
Help me through life struggles
And Grant me strength for all I do.
Guide me into life with an open mind
And a fresh slate.
So Mote it be."

Senior Lestrange gritted his teeth in hearing his daughter in law, but it was Linda beside him that gave him the comfort he wanted. He knew his sons were unhappy with him, but they simply didn't understand.

They couldn't if they tried.

Rabastan claimed that he would want to visit tomorrow on his own, and Rory was the sensible one and claimed that he could visit whenever he wished.

It was on their depart when Senior Lestrange attempted to get a word in with his youngest son, though it was the same ignoring act that Roldophus had granted him this morning upon arriving.

He knew that they would be taking his grandchildren back to their manor, and it was thought to be the best time to discuss what is happening like a family.

As the married couples were already taking care of the children and distressing all that happened in the past twenty-four hours, it allowed him to find his sons...But it was Rory and Bella that had turned the corner to see Linda standing in the hallway.

"Cassi, up for a bit of taunting?" Aurora had caught Bella's side glance, and she returned it with a curved smirk.

"Always." She confirmed, and it allowed the two to ignore the likes of Mrs.Lestrange once again, although it did give Rory a bit of a strain in giving Lydia the cold shoulder...This was a dark world.

"Honestly that fifthly bastard child shouldn't be anywhere near the Lestrange fortune."

"Lydia is innocent in this Bella, it's best to ignore her and share anger with the adults. Her birth was the fault of her parents." It was sensible sure, but seeing Rodolphus already storming out of the room caused Bella to perk up interest.

"Cassi, before my brother loses it...Please." She left the side of her in-laws and hurried into her husband's study to—

"YOU'VE DISRESPECTED MY MOTHER PASSED DEATH, AND NOW YOU BRING THE BOTH OF THEM INTO MY HOME?!" His father scoffed.

"Your home? My name is—"

"Actually, our name is on the deed of this manor, father." Aurora interjected, coming closer to the set argument.

And for the first time in a while had Aurora taken the side of her husband than instigate an argument between the two. "Cassiopeia this doesn't concern you."

"Of course it does, I'm a Lestrange am I not? Or does that imply certain times?" Her questions were throwing him for a loop as he gritted his teeth further.

"You hold no power—"

"I carried and birthed the next generation of Lestrange, careful where you tread." Rabastan stood in awe in seeing his wife stand up to his father, the man he slightly feared throughout his childhood had simply vanished.

"Foolish girl, my marriage is the concern of my sons."

"Of course, how foolish of me to have respect at my mother's funeral. Did the invites mention in bringing mistress' or bastard children into the mix?"

"When I marry Linda I will claim Lydia." Aurora rolled her eyes.

"It'd be wise to control your wife Rabastan, this behavior is—"

"I do not control my wife, she is her own person." The sick and evil grin rallied as he uttered two words into the air...

Toujours pur.

Aurora's back straightened as her eyes widened, she realized what her father in law had just attempted to do. It was the same instance of Immer Rein, she could feel the numb effects but she persevered.

"See to it that your wife knows her place, as a wife. Nothing more than—" Rabastan had stumbled back in the same pattern as his father, though he wasn't the one who was sporting what appeared to be a broken jaw.

"I am a Black before I am a Lestrange, same as Bella. And neither of us are controlled by your sons. Your curse is weak." The man rolled his shoulders before looking for his son.

"The will is being reverted back to your brother." Aurora tried to hold back her smile as she fawned over her husband.

"A good thing I inherited Regulus and Sirius' fortune then...Oh, did Rabastan not tell you?" It was actually unknown knowledge to Rabastan himself that his wife had any money of her own.

It seemed the witch had a knack for throwing multiple stabs at once, as nothing Senior Lestrange was getting by as a proper threat.

"It's different times Lestrange, witches could indeed have their own funds. Good thing too, especially as you screwed over a son and your four grandchildren." The reigns had been entirely in their favor, whatever happens, the new generation would gain something.

The wizard had fixed his dress robes and started off towards the door.

"I'd be careful Mister Lestrange...I favor my poisons and I'm in need of a test subject." Although he continued to move out of what used to be his summer home's study...Only to slam the door in the wake of his fear.

Fear was flooding Aurora's mind, and for a pristine Lestrange...Neither he nor Rabastan seemingly was aware of what Aurora had in store for them, but sweet merlin there was nothing more damning then his wife putting his father in his place.

Aurora turned to see her husband come closer to her position and she was about to apologies for her dictatorship over the arguement, but it was all too easy for him to pick her up by her thighs and placed directly on his desk. His face suffocating deeply into her neck as he peppered small kisses in between.

"You...You are perfect Aurora." Her fingers intertwined through his curls, a relieved breath from her throat...Though it sounded too close to a moan.

"My Ravenclaw outwitted my father...My bloody father, Rory I hadn't known that Toujours— that it was our curse—My mother..." Aurora had slowly started to rise fitfully as she realized that Clarissa had been one of the unlucky wives that had been downright controlled by her husband until the very end.

Entirely controlled.

Aurora bent her fist in the completely wrong direction as it was her dominant hand and the one that was still suffering from a burn. "Daisy, first aid kit." The elf had heard it from her position and instantly went off to the dungeon and placed it beside Rabastan on the desk.

Though he hadn't bothered moving away from in between his wife's legs.

"My brother will help us, I will not let you use your inheritance on our family."

"What about the other account? The one that we conjoined on our own from our careers?" She questioned, and Rabastsan sighed in relief that he had listened to his wife when she suggested this method.

"I truly do not deserve you Rory, gods I love you...My kitten, thank you." She melted in her husbands hold, though it felt odd in getting aroused after what just occured.

But in light of respecting Clarissa, Rory tugged at Rabastan's hair to lure him away from her neck. "Soon, not when we're rallied up like this." He wasn't at all disappointed, but they were both running on anger of what was occurring that he needed to get through before ravishing his wife.

"Bella is going after Lydia...I ask that you leave her out fo this Raba. She's just a child."

"I have nothing against my half-sister other than she is proof of what was happening. I remember...I remember mum crying when she found out Linda was with child, she knew...They were unloyal throughout either marriage." What Rabastan needed to do was talk through the issue, and she would be an ear to listen to.

"When you asked...If I should look for others while you recover from the twins I—" Her head coward away as she felt the overcast of emotion that today held.

"Raba I—I didn't mean to upset you, I wasn't ready to be intimate...Our parents were old souls, they lived in a world where they could get away with mistresses. If your father wants to retaliate, let him. The culture shock will catch up with him." Rabastan pulled his wife into his embrace, and there the two stood for a small while before he wanted to play with the children.

Either of them lost a parent and were left with the unkind pair. This was surely going to prove to be difficult once Walburga hears of this, but even she was having trouble securing the Black fortune...And she has always been a Black.

Both Rabastan and Aurora agreed that they would figure out a financial plan within the coming days, it wasn't as though they lived an extravagant life where they spent thousands of Galleons a day, they could pass with not buying anything unnecessary. Especially for the children as they were spoiled enough as is.

The clothes that Romulus wore months ago and no longer fit him was now Roe's hand me downs. And it was a surprise that Rabastan hadn't been in disagreement, especially considering this was before the lingering cut off.
